Hello, Bonjour, Hola, Guten Tag, Shalom, Salvete...
Good day, all, and welcome to my humble little show, the Cirque du Douleur. My circus contains exotic creatures from all over the earth, and each is unique and special in their own way. What makes us different from any other band of talented people and beasts, you ask? Well, I'll tell you.
The people are not human. The beasts are not animals.
"Mythical" creatures. What's so mythical about them? They're certainly real and here, so why not use them? That is what my circus is all about. Showing off my inhuman performers and my magical beasts.
You have another question? Very well, what is it? Oh, you wish to know where I obtain my staff and how they are treated? Well, let's just say...
...I have my ways...

Plot†Ťhȝ Ťrůȝ Šťøřȳ† The Cirque du Douleur, or "Circus of Pain" in English, is, as it's name suggests, a very painful place. To the civillian spectator, it is a fun and relaxing escape from a monotonous daily life. However, to a performer, it's a living nightmare.
The performers of the Cirque du Douleur are slaves, at best. They are people who have been taken away from their families, ripped from those who they hold dear, and pulled out of a life of comfort into a life of horror. Even the orphans and outcasts who have volunteered to enter the circus regret their decision. Once you are in, you never leave.
Most performers are kept in cages, especially if they look like they could threaten others. But there are a rare few performers who the Ringmaster takes a liking to. If he thinks it is fit, he will allow some to work alongside him, either as trainers, guards, or Elites.
The performers are never ordinary humans. Whether they are demons who disguise themselves as something else, or simply psychics, none of them are normal. And that, as the Ringmaster says, "Is the fun of it all."
The Ringmaster is a sick, twisted, and greedy man. Yet, he is still perfectly sane. He knows what he is doing is wrong, and yet he does it anyway. He is usually very calm, and always has a grin on his face. However, when he is angered, he shows no mercy. There have been people who have died from his rage and violence.
There is also one interesting thing about the Ringmaster. He is also a performer. In the middle of the show, he will often disappear, and then re-emerge as "Masked Shadow", the signature act of the Cirque du Douleur. No one knows why he does this, for the crowd does not suspect that Masked Shadow is really the Ringmaster. But who knows what goes on in the mind of that man...
And now, you, lucky you, have entered the Cirque du Douleur. But just what are you? Are you a plain performer who endures it all? Are you a rebellious captive seeking freedom? Are you simply a duplicate of the Ringmaster who has been looked upon with favor? Are you a compassionate soul who has managed to work your way up in the circus? Or do you not know?

Rules†Å fȝw "ġůīðȝĺīňȝš"† No roleplay is complete without rules! So let's lay a few of them down now...
•Eins. I am the creator of this roleplay. I made the plot, I made the thread, so you do what I say.
•Zwei. I know that the first rule sounded very bossy, but don't worry! I don't bite! Ask me anything!
•Drei. Try to be somewhat literate. I'll give you an example of correct and incorrect posts:
Correct: Bob jumped to the tree branch. He smiled, yelling "You can't catch me!"
Incorrect: Bob: *jumps onto tree branch* you cant catch me
Simple enough, right? I don't think anyone in this guild does that, anyway.
•Vier. Anyone can be a regular performer, and there a few spots open for those close to the Ringmaster. With that, it's fist come, first serve.
•Fünf. You can be ANY mythical creature, even one you made up.
•Sechs. PM me your profiles, and put as the subject of the PM "Ninjas" so I know you read the rules. =-]
•Sieben. Have fun!

It's funny, because my father became the Ringmaster of the circus thriteen years ago, and yet I don't remember anything of what he was like before that. But anyway, my father raised me inside the circus, and helped me become as strong as I am today. I'm fiercely loyal to him, and I would die to protect him.

what i've been doing for the past few years// My mother and father were performers at the circus during its early years, before it became like it is now. They had me just when things were starting to get gruesome, and my father sent my mother away, knowing a human could not stand the things to come. Sadly, he, a demon, couldn't either. When my mother and I returned to the circus years later, we heard that he died while trying to stand up for a child. I haven't seen my mother since that day, since we were both pulled into the circus again. I don't really know what happened to her, but the more I think about it, the more I realize I probably don't want to know.

Death and Despair fill my path
I bring the fire
I am almighty Annie walks down the path, her long skirt flowing out behind her, but not touching the ground. She has a metal hoop skirt underneath to keep the skirt full and puffy. Her act was supposed to be first, but she knew people lied here. She could wait though, she knew her act was better.
