Honestly, Blizzard needs to hire a fashion consultant to approve all clothing designs. Just look at these pants:


Honestly, I can't say I'm impressed with the design of most of those clothes I'm wearing.

Anyone else come across some really tacky clothing as you've played? (screen shots of terrible clothes are loved.)

The good looking clothes are epic clothing. They are good looking for that reason. Kinda like rags to riches type thing. Lower levels have terrible armor outfits but as you get to endgame, stuff looks alot better.

I think their idea with t9 was to make it look faction based. Alot of the Horde pieces just look grungy and primal. Alliance have alot better looking gear.

But we can easily compare the stuff. The increase in polys, the look, the glowing, everything is different from a level 20 item from WC to a level 50 item, to a level 60 Item from MC, to a level 70 item from Sunwell, to a level 80 item from Lich King.

Those pants are also the same graphics from WC's pants for twinks. Its just blizzard being lazy. They do it every xpac. Then again, I don't blame them for just using the same graphics (druidt1 is used in like everything) so they can focus on other stuff.

But back to the topic, its not that blizzard is tacky, its the fact they are going for the rags to riches look. Some of the gear I've gotten in beta mixing in with my ICC gear makes me look like I just hit up an auction house and bought random stuff :/
