and I was wearing my GIR shirt. Then the cashier says "I like your shirt" apparently she likes Invader Zim and so did the cashier next to her. Then we got into a short conversation about Invader Zim. Day made.

That's funny. I wish I had that kind of conversation. Not a whole lot of people are fans of Invader Zim where I live.

Haha, I had alot of JTHM conversations when I was younger. When I was about 13, 7 years ago, I was in a store (idk if it was Hot topic or not...) and saw a worker with dread locks and black boots with a striking resemblance to Nny's boots. I asked him if they had any JTHM merch/comics. He told me they were going to get the comics in later and then started talking to me about how much a Jhonen fan he was. And then the last sentence..."Aren't you too young to be reading Johnny the Homicidal Maniac?" Haha.

LUCKY! I only had a teacher who loved Invader Zim and would randomly sprout quotes and phrases from the show. The only adult that I knew that liked JTHM was my friend's mom. Weird how the friend never heard of JTHM but the 40 year old mom was all into it. persons mom: "You know JTHM" me: "TOTALLY!" persons mom: I LOVE THAT COMIC! JHONEN IS A GENIUS!

You guys are really lucky. I haven't found any adults that like Invader Zim or JTHM D: Really hoping I can soon though since I'm going into highschool this year.

Ha I was walking down the street once when i first bought JTHM and some random guy was like "Hey awesome book and shirt!" (i was wearing a Zim shirt)
