MY COMPUTER CRUSHED...........again...........
*Sighs.* I'll tell you how it happen and pray the you don't make the same mistake that I did. Oh and this is real not a role play or anything.
I went to a site called CoolRom (Dot) com. as the name applies its a site that has both emulaters (Znes, saga, ect....)and rom games.
well I downloaded a eumlater for DS (odd since I can play my aunts, sometimes) and two final fantasy games, the sad part was that they DIDN'T work.
So everything is going fine with my computer when this anti-virus thing pops pops up and starts scaning my computer and tells me I have threats.
Well here the thing, I neve DOWNLOADED the stupid thing. this is a scam and a Virus all in it self. How do I know this? My computer crushed with in two hours after I find out.
You know how you can make an new account in Widows? I tried that and then run Defrag, after that was done I went to restart the computer and Windows was gone.
The computer would start up but then it would go blank.
So if you like to play Rom games DO NOT go to cool roms. well you could if you use your MP3 Player, but then again is it wroth losing your Computer for some old games from the 90's?
Because of this I will not be on all that much. maybe a few time in a week, but until I get a new computer, I won't be on all that much. and it bits too because I was working on getting my stuff back.

Malwarebytes Anti Maleware...its a free download and it works great.

I'd suggest Emisoft's one (a-squared), though it does dislike AIM, for some reason.

Ashley Greywind but then again is it wroth losing your Computer for some old games from the 90's? Why yes, yes it is. Well, depending on the game. Mostly N64 games. Anyway, sorry about your computer crashing.

AVG Anti-Virus is also useful, and is also a free download.

Last time I had something on my computer, the only thing that would pry it out was ComboFix.'Twas one of those things that infects your browser to make Google redirect you to sites other than the ones you clicked on.

I get these every other month, because my computer is prone to getting them. xDD
Anyways, here's what I do. Either use MalwareBytes, an anti-malware program that you can download for free, or you can do a system restore. I usually use the system restore because it takes less time, but you're going to lose what you had done within the past few days.

Geez, that's rough! I hope that ya get a new computer working ASAP. I've had my old computer crash on me but it was own fault for downloading way too much stuff on it. I'd hate to accidently get a virus or a pop up virus from it so I can feel your pain.
I've had the pop up with the Virus checker before that was just a bunch of trojans but my Norton caught them and I just rebooted my computer. I have Windows on my main computer but I've never actually created my own account. With the How-to on Windows already they should have a step-by-step thing setup for ya, just follow the instructions (Sorry I can't be more help).
