It had been several days since the incident in the forest and Dice had found somewhere to rest up to let the wounds heal that had resulted from an ecounter with a wolf-like beast. Even though she hadn't completely healed she thought it was time to move on, spending the long days alone only gave her more time to think about the past and she was running her head in circles. Now, she had, had enough of it and wanted nothing more than something to distract her from it.
This time her wanderings led her to a bustling village, huts with small fires crackling outside them built a small structure with creatures she had never seen before carrying logs and branches, or tending to the smaller creatures of their kind. Even a few soquili's she could see were roaming around. She watched, amazed.
What were they? She wanted to know!
Not knowing anything about it she just let herself in and started to poke around. Whens he tried to poke her head in one of the pots, a delicious smell filtering through her nose, one of the two-leggers came up to her and at first she just froze but when they offered her something to eat she happily took it. She hadn't eaten for a while and she was starved! It was wonderful! Whatever it was but it didn't fill her. Giving the strange creature a nuzzle in return she got a stroke and a pat on her neck before she was allowed to go on her way.
Many were staring but she just thought that was because she was good looking and cute obviously! ׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

It was a normal day in the village, the weavers were weaving, the riders where training their horses, the cooks where cooking, the nanny’s where looking after the children and Yasei was stood outside his teepee looking out on it all. His little ears stuck up. Curious eyes wondered over to the new arrival. He had lived in this village all his life and he knew everyone who lived here. He also knew when someone had never stepped foot in this place before. He tilted his head to the side and nervously stayed out the way. Even though he was in his home he still was weary of strangers. He looked inside his teepee to see his two legger working away on smashing berries. Making a small noise to get her attention. The women inside looked over at her companion and wondered out to see what was happening.
Straight away the human noticed the mare. She was for sure wild, she could tell because there was no rope around her nose and no tribe feather in her ear. She knew someone who was looking for a new mare. A character that this human knew well. They lived in the mountains and not too long ago this two legger took this friend a stallion that her horse Zeda had birthed. Even though the soquili ran free only returning to the teepee occasionally this mare would be a fine gift indeed. Yasei’s two legger leant down and stroked his mane loveingly. Speaking words he did not know, however he did know they were words of praise. She then slapped his hide gently making him head over to the mare.
Nervously Yasei wondered over, his ears back against his head and his tail in between his legs. He swallowed and shook his head. He would always do what his two legger wanted him to do, he had to be brave. To make her happy. He came to stand in front of the mare. He was so small compared to her; with beady innocent eyes he scanned her. She did not seem dangerous but he never judged a book by its cover. Clearing his throat the courage to speak came to him for a moment.
“… D-do not be f-frightened.”
He just managed to speak in words little more than a whisper. His two legger followed him over and then started to stroke the mane of the mare, calling something out to the others which resulted in many people shaking heads. She was asking if anyone claimed this mare. There reply made her smile. This would make a fine gift for her friend. Repayment for the angeni she had brought her over the years. Now they would be on equal grounds. She smiled pulling the mane of the mare, so she managed to squirm onto the back of the large horse. She stroked her mane still sat on her back, grabbing it tight so to not fall off, if it was a wild horse. It would have to be broken; having a human on its back might not be its idea of a good time. She called something else out to the people.
A child wondered over, getting on the back of the spotted Usida. Yasei stood and let him do it, he was used to children riding him and he was guessing his owner was wanting him to set a example to the new comer.

As Dice searched this strange place and it's wierd trinkets and inhabitants a smaller horse approached her and she looked down in the mini males direction, tilting her head to one side as she just let out a chuckle. Why would she be afraid of him? She was twice his size and everyone here had been friendly to her so far. She had no idea that they had capturing her in mind, or gifting her off to their friends but her gaze still stayed upon the usida.
"Hehe, silly. Why would I be afraid? You look more afraid of me." She smiled, winking at him. "I'm only a little taller than you and I won't cause any harm. I just wondered what this place was and these creatures! They're so strange looking." It was then the woman native came close to her and started to stroke her. She turned her head to her, sniffing her scent. She could smell the berries she had been crushing and instantly, she could feel the weak emptiness of her belly. It wasn't a pleasant feeling.
Before she knew it, the woman was on her back and she had to shift slightly at the weight. She wasn't used to anything being on her back and she did protest a little but with a a small neigh and a snort, not anything agressive. That was just rude! She could have asked first but she didn't mind, even when she looked round the smaller horse had one on his back too. It must of been a tradition or welcoming.
She walked foward closer to the male and whispered. "What is this thing doing on my back?" ׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Yasei listened to the mare, clearly she had misunderstood. She should not have been scared of the human. He knew Usida in general where the most un-intimidating things in the world. He found that very little was scared of him, yet he was scared of pretty much everything. It is why he lived amongst the humans. It made him feel safe from the wild outside world. His eyes kept on the new mare, she did not seem to be reacting to her first mounting as much as he first expected. He smiled nervously and bowed his head to the mare. Replying to her question in a gentle voice.
"She is riding you, its what the horses here do, provide transport and companionship for the two leggers."
The human on the back of dice continued to stroke her mane and whisper gentle words in her ears. She then pulled back gently on her mane and dug the balls of her feet into the side of the mare. Yasei looked and understood what his master was trying to say. He guessed that he should explain to the mare what she wanted her to do.
"She wants you to move, think of it as talking through her hands. When she pulls right walk left, when she pulls left walk right, when she pulls back and digs her feet in move froward, when she kicks run and when she pulls back for the second time hard stop."
It was second nature to the little Usida, he had seen it taught time and time again, heck it did not take him long to catch on thanks to the help from the other horses in the land. The child got off of his back and ran back to its frined's. Yasei wondered a little closer to the mare. He could understand why she might be scared. It was all new to her after all. He wondered why she came here? he saw the humans bring back new ridding horses. However he had never seen one just wonder into the village.
"I am Yasei, welcome to the Kawani. Home to the two leggers."

"Transport and companionship? Surely, not all horses would like this amount of uneasy weight to carry on their back all the time?" She fumbled a half-frown. Soquili actually decided to live here, in the village where the creatures known as 'two-leggers' lived, willingly? She found it to be a trapped and controlled lifestyle not one she could live. She had to bow to the ones that did with credit. Since it was quite obvious that the two different species couldn't understand each other.
Were they just being used?
The gentle words from the woman upon her back made her look to the side, her ears flicking at the warm breath tickling the fine hair inside. What was she saying, she didn't understand! The petting was nice though, this part of riding she could get used to. As long as she was cleaned up after wards of all the mud from their feet. not appealing, at all. Her gaze slid slowly back to the tiny male and listened to the explanation he gave. She would kick her!? No! That she would not allow. A snort of protest shot from her nostrils fiercely and she back up, shaking her head.
"I will not be kicked!" She sighed. "Why would they want to do that to us? Wouldn't that hurt?" She asked, eyebrows knitting together. Although, to please the two-legger, not knowing what she was truly capable of she walked forward, chanting to herself that if she messes up her hair or ribbon she would be sure to give her a swift kick later.
"My names Dice Eliza Quinn." She finally introduced. "Just call me Dice, everyone does." She smiled, more relaxed now with the somewhat more friendlier and polite company of the Usida. "Nice to meet you... Btw, why are you so small? Are you only young or something?"
Silly as it was, Dice had no idea about the different breeds yet, having lived in heartland all the strange features meant nothing to personality, they were all unique however she had never seen a horse so small in her life. ׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

"Small? I am not small, in fact I am one of the bigger Usida. This is how big we get."
He was used to being called small however no one had mistaken him for a foal before. It was just another thing that made him want to stay in the safe village. Usida were small and had no chance escaping for fighting a bigger horse. He was sure the spirits made Usida as a joke, the only ones that had a chance in the wild where those who were good at hiding. It was just so much simpler to stay in the village.
"Its not all that bad, you will not even feel the weight after a while and carrying a two legger is a lot easier than carrying a cart. You mean you do not have a two-legger yet? even most of the wild horses have two-leggers even if they don't live with them."
He asked looking a little confused. Then it kind of hit him. If she did not have a two-legger then he was sure his owner would get her one. After all for some odd reason these humans loved to have companions of the horsie kind. He smiled. She was not keeping the new mare for herself, if she was she would have taken her to be cleaned and had shoes put on her. He seemed to be very good at understanding his human. After the long years they had spent together. He had a feeling of who she was being taken to.
"Its okay, I think she wants you to go to her friends Teepee. You will be taken care of fed and cleaned there."

This was all new to her. Why would the spirits punish them and make the male only be able to grow to a vulnerable size? It was a tad amusing. Shorty. She chuckled to herself in her thoughts and couldn't help but give him a smile. "That's kind of cute you know~"
She flirted, not being able to help herself. For a small guy, he wasn't half bad looking. She lowered her head gave him a gentle nuzzle and then pulled herself upright to not annoy the one upon her back. Her mind tracked the next thing he mentioned. Making her feel uneasy.
A cart? Heavy things that get stored on your back and made to pull them. Maybe this was the easier option, just to do what the woman said but if she was going to be taken to one of her friends, then she didn't want to be trapped there. The food sounded good and she could do with a clean, with all the blood that had stained her coat from the attack and the mud she would now gain from the rider. There was no winning this without having to make an effort. If they were one of the people who just wanted a companion, without her having to live with them, it could be dealt with.
She shook her head. "No, I've never come across them before. That's why I am here now, curiosity just got the best of me. Maybe it won't be so bad but I just hope it doesn't disturb my travels. I don't know much about this land anymore. I came from a different one neighboring the Kawani. The soquili that lived there were cursed. When I came back here to escape..." She paused, feeling choked with words. A frown took to her lips and she fell remotely distant and sad again, her eyes dulled losing the bright spark they normally bloomed with. "I had forgotten everything." ׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×
