I already posted in the thread that you linked to... but to sum it up I'm not too happy about him being the new CEO. Something about his personality in the interview posted in that thread just makes him creepy and untrustworthy to me.

If Gaia goes any deeper into Facebook, I think I'm gonna quit. There is no point of the facebook connect thing anyway.

I thought of this myself but I still can't help to think that he wants deeper ties with facebook. I'm just facebook racist. I really don't like the site. Oh he's really blatant about how much he wants to integrate the sites together. I was just pointing out how he defeated the point of his ambitions by explaining what the differences were between the two sites.

As soon as I saw that he created a site from the ground up and then sold it, but then again that's how you make money. Regardless though, he's young and clearly ambitious which is very dangerous at times. My biggest complaint right now is the community response to this power shift. I've seen more "He's cute" comments or "his avi is ugly he does get us!" than anything else which just pisses me off. Who gives a crap what he looks like or if he makes an over complicated avi, it's his job to worry about the fiscal side of things, even when he was CPO is was his job to deal with merchandising and advertising of the site.

I've seen more "He's cute" comments or "his avi is ugly he does get us!" than anything else which just pisses me off. Who gives a crap what he looks like or if he makes an over complicated avi, it's his job to worry about the fiscal side of things, even when he was CPO is was his job to deal with merchandising and advertising of the site. That was my biggest concern as well, its horrifying how most users have based all opinions on shallow thoughts. I also believe that with zomg that Gaia could become a mini game of facebook(unlikely but possible)

All this time I've been under the impression Lanzer still runs things, when did that change? I haven't been under any rocks but I have avoided most of the forums for years now, guess I should pay more attention in the future. sweatdrop
And more on subject with the thread, yeah I don't like how this guy looks either, he has that slick corporate image which almost never bodes well.....
I sure hope my misgivings are totally groundless and silly, ha. We are here holding on to nothing

Where will we go tomorrow? We're too close to the edge It literally just happened. And Lanzer hasn't actually been in charge of anything in years, he's just a founder so he sits on the board and is the semi spokesman. (He still does some stuff, but it's mostly tech work)
