It's any wonder why someone would bother to start building in this side of town anyway. The surrounding buildings form a sort of wall around the lot, blocking it off from the main roads, though the weed-covered plot of land is easily the prettiest area around for several blocks.
While Kumogakure is regarded as a nice place to live, this isn't exactly an area you want to hang around in at night.

Yuzuki let the man lead her down the way with more than a mild amusement to where they were going, As they twisted and turned down the allyways, that dark side of Yuzuki grew increasingly excited at being lead down to darker depth, there was something raw and adventurous that made her feel quiet invigorated by this journey. To be interesting, to be unique... bah, who the hell even cared? Once she was finished with this man she would just cast him aside before moving onto other people to teach her other things before the process was repeated. Her eyes held that powerlust once more and somethign sinister flashed behind those bright, multicolored eyes of hers. She almost liked her lips with anticipation over the matter and she could hardly contain herself. She was close to helling him to hurry up so that she could learn the little trick to make her problems... go away. The thought amused her. Being a weapon and a tool of war that a shinobi was meant to be, she was more than willing to make sure all other compitition was dead and gone. Pest problem... yes, that was a good way of putting it.
When they stopped, Yuzuki's eyes narrowed. This dump was the place were she was going to be 'unique'. This placed reeked of seedy dealings and skulldrudgery. She was going to have fun here. It seemed like a dog-eat-dog part of town... and she had some new jutsu that she didn't have a chance to try out yet. "Half ninja? What's your other half, or did you divid your other halves too so that you could have adopted many other fassets to your being as well? Variety being the spice of life and all." There was an amused tone in her voice. She doubted she would ever adopt such a life style... unless she was going to be a half-ninja, half-demigod then she would be able to divid her loyalties like that. "So then... what do I need to do first?"

Kishi released Yuzuki from his presence and spun backwards into the lot.
"Keeseesee~ So you're one of those types," he nodded, noting the way in which she reiterated his philosophy. "Well I guess you're a rare one," he folded his arms behind his head, "But not unique. Not yet."
His shifty grin slipped back into place and he flung his arms out, scratching a line of blood across one finger with his ring in the process.
"But tonight is the first step on your road to individuality!"
POOF!
The theatrical cloud of smoke dispersed to reveal Kishi sitting on one knee atop a scorpion. Said scorpion was large enough it could have easily dragged a horse into its burrow, but the way it carried its it's delicately etched claws and displayed its ornate designs showed it was beyond such behavior.
Instead of dead livestock, it carried a scroll wider around than Kishi himself between its claws. Kishi flicked his wrist and the scorpion took the cue to spin the scroll, causing it to unravel.
Numerous names were scrawled across the parchment's surface, most of which were illegible due to age and the blood they were written in flaking off.
"Like I said," Kishi said regarding the signatures, "Signing this won't make you unique, but it's a start. You know what this is for... right? You do."
He tipped his head back to look down his nose at Yuzuki from his place atop the stoic beast. His grin trembled slightly, threatening to show his teeth, but never breaking. The evening was only just beginning!

Yuzuki gazed at the scorpion with both awe and yerning. She looked into the creatures multiple eyes and drank in is aura, such a magnificent creature, such elegance and deadly power... oh yes, she wanted it very much. She took a step fowards, wanting to run her hand along the elegant design engrained in its claws, she was stopped when the scroll was unraveled and its contents spurned out infront of her. The scroll itself looked as old as time, the yellowing parchement had many fading bloodpacts, many names that were now only partial reminders of whom the scorpions severed. It was clear that this man was probably one of the first people who had recontacted these magnificent creatures in hundreds of years, perhaps even thousands of years now. Yuzuki didn't hesitate bringing her thumb up to her mouth, it was no mystery the blood pact required blood.
She bit into her thumb, the coppery taste of blood filled her mouth She pulled her thumb away and spread the blood that was on her thumb amoung the rest of her fingers before placing her prints on an open spot like the few others before her, then wrote her name in the same vitae that leaked from her person. After wards, she placed her thumb in her mouth and licked her self inflicted wound to help it heal faster. Her eyes fell on the summoned creature once again and she finished walking up to the creature and gently ran her fingers over the ornate carpace of the creature, it felt like polished marble, sleek and smooth to the touch, oh how magnificent... she was weary of its stinger, she knew that a scorpion stung those around them out of instinct of protection, she doubted that it would happen with this one, seeing as it was a summoned creature and Keshi was on top of it. She glanced over at her mentor of undividuality but said nothing. When he was ready he would tell her what to do next, until then, she was more than willing to take in such a creation.

Kishi smile widened at the level of determination Yuzuki used to sign the contract.
"Missy here likes it when you rub her cephalothorax."
He killed whatever dramatic buildup he'd been preparing by sprawling out on the scorpions back and stroking between its eyes like one would a friendly dog.
Also... Missy?
He hopped off his scorpion pal, giving her one last pat on the head before letting her disappear with the scroll.
"The signs are boar, dog, bird, monkey and ram. The size of the beastie is only limited by the amount of chakra you put into it, so as long as you aren't trying for a specific size, the process is easy-peasy."
He turned to Yuzuki with a giggle, raising his hands in a "tada" motion.

Yuzuki hummed a little seductively when she was invited to rub the scorpions body, she let her fingers glide lovingly over the summoned creature, not really caring about the name... a rose by any other, really. When the scorpion was dismissed, she looked over at Kishi with a bit of annoyance in her eyes. "I don't want easy-peasy," Yuzuki informed the man a little bitterly. "Easy-peasy is for boring, mediocre people and I want to be unique and extrodinary. Now... do teach me how to better summon something so that I can better maintain and control this individuality. Surely you wouldn't let me go with such... mundane ability over my head and not teach me how to flurish properly. That would mean that you would be letting one whom you showed interest in be... boring... and that would reflect upon you. Besides... I think there's more to this that signing a piece of paper with blood, isn't there. Yes there is." Yuzuki grinned innerly, surely he would be stirred to manipulation with those words. Besides, summoning was pretty chakra costing, she imagined that he had some other activities for her to perform so that she could better master this jutsu.
That aside, she was interested in seeing what other sorts of training that this man had. If all else failed she could go to the desert and train in the terrain with her new summoned creature, help build a bond with the spieceies and maybe earn favouring with the more, grandeur members of the scorpion summonees. The Scorpion Queen had a most amusing ring to her. But she wouldn't get too cocky just yet, she'd still have to endevour the rest of her training to build her stamina and chakra control so that she could endure the strains of it a little better. She was interested in what this guy would put her through, she was hoping that he was more hands on than Chiyu who pretty well had the approch of 'sink or swim' with his practices of teachings. It wasn't neccessarily a bad thing to do, it taught one to teach oneself and that was never a bad thing, but there were somethings that needed to be taught, she was proof of that, she couldn't grasp the expending of chakra control, time and time again she was proven that she could only handle the fine and the delicate manipulation of chakra, but when it came to expending vast amounts, she just couldn't control it. She likened it to being able to use a scaple with fine work, but when it came to swinging a sludge hammer... forget it, she wouldn't be able to hit the target most of the time.[Summoning jutsu word count: 0/3000 Rank C]

Kishi’s mouth formed a tight “o” at Yuzuki’s sentiments. When it faded back to its usual “v” shape, it came a little closer to a smirk.
“Using people for your own benefit is a skill in itself, ragamuffin,” he chided playfully, “If I help too much, then you’re not learning, you’re copying me and that’s bad for both our images~”
He tilted his head to the side and leaned his scruffy face against his palm like a spectator. It was any wonder how he wasn’t falling over in that position.
“As for the jutsu, like I said, it’s easy as pie, just less tasty but there are a few summons out there with a real KICK in their venoms…” he trailed off dreamily, but caught himself before he lost his point. It really wasn’t much of a stretch to think this guy had had his fair share of mind-altering chemicals.
“Use the hand signs to mold your chakra—turning it into a key with which to unlock the seeecrets of the wooooooorld, add a pinch of blood, slap the ground and presto, you’ve got something. No guarantees it’ll be a scorpion, though.”

Yuzuki placed her hands together and rolled her hands around the various hand signs for the jutsu. Boar, dog, bird, monkey and ram… curious grouping of hand signs for summoning an arthropod… regardless, she continued with her feeding of chakra into the jutsu, her wound was still fresh so there was no need to actually bite her thumb again. Her mind formed a picture of a scorpion inside her head, the sleek shape of the body , the power of the claws and the cruel toxicity of the venom that would pump agonizing terror throughout the body of those who were opposing her. The terror she could unleash with such a viciously beautiful creature. Moulding her chakra into the shape that she wanted she slapped her hand down on the ground, she felt her chakra flowing away from her and into the stone cold earth below her. Black scrawling circled out from under her hands, weaving into intricate patterns that would be need to conjure the creature that she made the pact with. Smoke billowed out from around where her hand had pressed against the earth and she felt the chakra mould itself into what she was summoning. She pulled her hand back slightly and let the creature shape itself from the offered chakra.
When the smoke cleared, however, Yuzuki’s eyebrow twitched when the smoke revealed what the final product was. It was indeed a scorpion… though its size was less than impressive. The thing seemed to be about a foot long at the most. Yuzuki bit back some words of frustration and stared grimly at the creature that was there. To add insult to injury, the creature seemed to be sleeping, Yuzuki brought her hand back and looked at it, alright, so it was a failed first attempt and a rather pitiful one at that. Well, failed might be a stretch, it did summon what she wanted. She must have needed to put more chakra into it. Yuzuki let the little sleeping scorpion go back to where it came from. It was cute, but Yuzuki was looking for deadly, not cute. Once again she clapped her hands together before making her hand signs once more. Boar, Dog, Bird, monkey and ram. The wound still being as fresh as it was didn’t need to be opened anymore to get what she desired. She once more slapped her hand signs on the ground, shaping her chakra into the image of a scorpion once more, she could see it in her mind, she could feel it under her fingertips. Moulding it, picturing it and then revealing it to be the scorpion that she sought to summon. The writing once again flowed under her hand and the smoke encircled her. She could tell right away the something was just not right about this one either. She removed her hand and watched as the smoke cleared to reveal the scorpion that she summoned. It was bigger, but not by much.
Yuzuki looked at her palm again, something started to run through her mind, she wondered if summoning was more directly linked to the amount of chakra that you sacrifice with your blood. It was a possibility, but the thought also made her grumble a little too. With her poor chakra control she was running a gauntlet of risk. If she gave too much power, then she might summon something that she couldn’t control, at worst, she would continue to summon something that she couldn’t use ( unless, she ever needed anything to cuddle with, those creatures were just too damn cute!). The scorpion summoned seemed to glare up at her a little bit to ask what she wanted. It scuttled around a little and with a series of clicks and snaps of its claws it relaxed itself. She was wondering if it was trying to communicate with Kishi to ask him what was going on, Yuzuki was starting to get a little frustrated with this, but she calmed herself down the best she could. She didn’t known how much more of this that she would be able to do tonight. Oh well, once more, she supposed, she lowered herself to her knees and exhaled loudly. She closed her eyes and reopened the wound on her thumb before carefully rolling her hand signs together to reshape the means for creating her summons. She offered more Chakra, she understood the basic principle and for her it was more or less experimenting to get the balance of chakra right. Granted… this was going to possibly take a while. She hated looking pathetic like this in front of others, it never got easier, in fact she was more embarrassing the more it happened.
Yuzuki gritted her teeth and was about to try again when she realized that she might not have enough chakra to pull this off, she was training for a while and she wasn’t holding a full tank anymore. Her eye twitched and she swallowed her pride, she shortly looked over her shoulder. ”Hey… I know that your not going to help me too much… but what‘s the best way to get a lot out of the chakra that you sacrifice fo the summoning?”[Summoning jutsu word count: 192+ 868= 1060/3000 Rank C]

“Hmmmmmmm…” Kishi drawled, doing his best to sound interested.
“Control is the most important aspect of ninjutsu. Using the exact amount of chakra necessary really cuts down on the strain.”
He mimed the act of rolling off the imaginary table he’d been leaning against and spun in a little circle.
“You don’t seem to be very good at this, though,” he giggled without opening his mouth and wiggled his fingers in a wave to the tiny scorpion.
Sensing Yuzuki’s obvious discomfort with the whole scenario caused Kishi’s smile to deepen. He leaned forward good-naturedly.
“You’re putting too much thought into this. You’re summoning animals! Get into character! Throw what you’ve learned at the wall and see what sticks! Ugh!” He spun away from Yuzuki haphazardly, “Professional types make me sick. They’re too… predictable.” When he’d made a full rotation, his visible face seemed quite a bit darker.
“You followed a strange man into a seedy part of town under promises of power and fame and now you’re being cautious? For shame, ragamuffin, for shame!”
He spoke in a relaxed, consciously melodramatic manner that suggested he didn’t really care if Yuzuki knocked herself out with chakra depletion. From what had been learned about Kishi, or the lack thereof, he’d probably leave her there if she passed out.

But she wasn’t summoning animals, she was summoning insects. Granted, maybe what the crazy guy was saying was right, she was being too cautious with this and needed to lighten up a little bit. She came here to claim and seek power, to use this man and snatch what he had to offer before betraying him and leaving him there to die… or keeping him alive for her own ends. If this man was as unique as he claimed he was, she would be able to learn a lot from him. It was the same with her team mates and sensei. Once she was done learning from them or her abilities far surpassed both their own. She would move on, no longer needed to associate herself with them. Think like the creature you were trying to summon: Scorpions stung those around them out of instinct, the scorpion was a creature associated with treachery and wicked. Though she wouldn’t categorize all scorpions in that regard, they were just creatures of instinct and self-preservation, she could respect that. She could do that, tap into her murderous instinct for her survival and willingness to betray those around her for her own selfish needs and desires. Scorpions were predators, they hunted their prey. Lets see… if she needed to get inside the mind of the scorpion then she needed to remember all that she knew about the creatures themselves.
They are nocturnal and fossorial, finding shelter during the day in the relative cool of underground holes or undersides of rocks and coming out at night to hunt and feed. Scorpions exhibit photophobic behaviour, primarily to evade detection by their predators such as birds, centipedes, lizards, mice, possums, and rats. Scorpions are opportunistic predators of small arthropods and insects, although the larger ones have been known to kill small lizards and mice. The large pincers are studded with highly sensitive tactile hairs, and the moment an insect touches these, they use their chelae ( also known as pincers) to catch the prey. Depending on the toxicity of their venom and size of their claws, they will then either crush the prey or inject it with neurotoxic venom. This will kill or paralyze the prey so the scorpion can devour it. Scorpions have a relatively unique style of eating using small claw-like structures that protrude from the mouth that are unique to the Chelicerata among arthropods. The chelicerae, which are very sharp, are used to pull small amounts of food off the prey item for digestion into a pre-oral cavity below the chelicerae and carapace. Scorpions can only digest food in a liquid form; they have external digestion. The digestive juices from the gut are egested onto the food and the digested food sucked in liquid form. Any solid indigestible matter ( such as fur or exoskeletons) is trapped by setae in the pre-oral cavity which is ejected by the scorpion. Scorpions can consume huge amounts of food at one sitting. They have a very efficient food storage organ and a very low metabolic rate combined with a relatively inactive lifestyle. This enables scorpions to survive long periods when deprived of food; some are able to survive 6 to 12 months of starvation.. Scorpions excrete very little, their waste consists mostly of insoluble nitrogenous waste.
Alright, summing things up for herself: Scorpions were nocturnal, meaning they lived in the darkness, and either crushed their prey or intoxicated it with lethal venom before consuming it. They were creatures that preserved their energy and struck only when the time is right. She understood that. She could envision herself as that scorpion. Always aware of their surroundings and always knowing where and when to strike. The second problem was her chakra control, it was just like what Chiyu was trying to tell her, her chakra was too chaotic to be used effectively. She closed her eyes and began to meditate her mind to calm that chakra that stirred up within her. She closed her eyes and let that darkness embrace her like she did before. That calm place in the darkness of her own mind, that comforting nothing of the void. It was like slipping into a refreshing cool bath after a hot day. She let herself be swallowed inside the black, this was where she was comfortable and at home. Most people feared the darkness, loathed it and branded it wicked. She found it the opposite. She listened to the nothing that made up her mind, she could hear her heartbeat and the erratic vibrations of her chakra. She slowed her breathing and calmed herself down a little more, she blocked out the odd stench of the queer little man that brought her here to practice and work on her summoning. Everything melted around her, the sounds of the nearby town faded into nothing. She listened as her heartbeat evened out and her chakra and the pulsing slowly died down and stopped, sounding more like a babbling of a river like it should be. She was still for a while longer, the darkness inside her mind began to shift and form like a swirling maelstrom in her subconscious mind. Slowing the vortex twisted into the form of a scorpion. Its large pinchers, its arched back to its raised tail poised to strike with its six eyes glowing red at her. In her minds eye, she pictured the monstrosity that she was going to summon now that she was meditated and prepared. And how glorious it was going to be. Yuzukis minds eye returned the glare to the creature, letting it know that she was going to be in control and she was going to be the dominant of the pair. It was going to be a master and slave relationship, granted, she was going to be more than generous to that which serves her in such a way. Indeed, to be well thought of in your servants eye, you must be willing to give them proper rewards, lest they turn and betray you. Her ambitions were far to great to be murdered by the thing that she summoned.
Yuzuki opened her eyes with the image of her soon-to-be summons fresh in her mind. Her chakra now calmed and her mind fresh and unfettered. She crossed her hand over themselves and brought both of her thumbs towards her mouth. She brought her canine teeth down hard on the meatiest part of her thumbs, she tasted the metallic rush of blood into her mouth before she brought her hands together for the first hand sign. She performed them slower this time. With each of the hand signs she made, she could feel her chakra pulse outwards like a heart beat. Boar… the haughty personality and symbol of unflinching courage and ferocity. Dog… the symbol of loyalty, vigilance and intelligence. Bird… symbolic of lifting a man from his lower self, to his higher self. Monkey… symbolizing the conscious abstinence of evil and the Ram… the wild symbol of the forces created by nature. All these brought together to create the summons of a creature with its own unique abilities and attributes to offer onto the battlefield. Yuzuki placed both her hands down on the ground and concentrated her chakra. The sprawling of text spilled out from under her hands and weaved themselves into a large summoning circle. Yuzuki offered an open door of chakra to her summons. One could see the dark blue energy orbit around her. Each of the characters of the summoning circle lighting up, starting from what was under her and then fanning out to the edge of the circle. She could feel the chakra bleeding out of her at a steady rate and feeding her summons, the chakra started to mould itself under her feet. She could feel her center of gravity shift as something gathered under her feet an pushed her off the ground. The sleek and hard feeling started to form under her feel where the creature’s shell was being created. Even now she could feel the cool, marble like texture under her fingertips and the layered patterning of said shell. She felt her feet tipped upwards at a slight angle, adjusting for the new slop that was now under her feet.
It was a bazaar feeling to have something appear under ones feet. She could continuously feel the chakra being pulled from her as it continued manifesting itself into the realm of her existence. A huge black tail pulled itself out of the dark clouds, its barbed tail arched over Yuzuki and poised to strike, a deep purple toxin starting to ooze slightly from the tip. Eight deep, blood red eyes gave a seething glare that seemed to pierce through the stormy clouds of the summoned. Two thick black pinchers pushed their way out of the fog and its gloom, resting at a slight downward angle. As the rest of the cloud vanquished, the midnight black carapace of the scorpion seemed to absorbed whatever light was cast upon it. Its eight legs kept it off the ground and ready for any conflict that was going to arise. Yuzuki was on her hands and knees and breathing heavily. Her body felt like led and she was having a hard time catching her breath from the summons that took almost everything out of her. Despite her exhaustion, she managed a triumphant grin. The scorpion she summon hissed aggressively, as its eyes fell on Kishi they narrowed. A thick, yellowish substance started to ooze from its mandible. The gelatinous liquid hissed heavily as it hit the ground. It was obvious that this was digestive juices and it looked at Kishi like prey. It made no act though, it was waiting on the weight on its body to give it some orders. This creature slowly crept forwards slightly to Kishi and with swift movement pulled itself to the side. Yuzuki, still breathing hard, sat back and used the erect tail as a rest for her back. Her eyes held as much triumph as her face did. She liked this power, and she would be sure to wield it as she pleased. The creatures claws clicked a few times before Yuzuki ran her fingers gently over the carapace and she shushed it with a soothing voice. The creature responded with amusement and obeyed its silent order, though it seemed like it did so more to amuse the girl riding its back than it did out of pure dominated obedience. ”Thank you for this power Kishi… now… how should I thank you properly?” There seemed to be a cruel undertone in her voice. She wouldn’t kill him, no… she was in his debt and she always kept those debts and boons in her mind so that she could repay and reap them all later.[Summoning jutsu word count: 1060+216+1804= 3020/3000 Rank C- Learned]

"My... you are an interesting one after all, aren't you..?" Kishi murmured. He was unphazed by the sudden, dark turn their situation had taken. He tilted his head to the other side.
His laughter made it long-overdue reappearance. "Keeseeseesee..." he hissed, not unlike the scorpions he summoned.
"There's no need to thank me. 'Tis only my hobby to spread learning and rainbows to all the children of this fine world~" He made a sweeping bow to punctuate his statment.
As his head dipped, a flash of iris was revealed, but only for less than a second. At least it was now known that he had at least one eye.

"...Thanks...(?)" Yuzuki said with some uncertainty in her voice, she wasn't sure what he meant by telling her that she was an 'interesting one after all' but she assumed that it was more a complement than a mockery. His laughter, in turned amused the young kouichi, the laughter reminded her of the scorpions hiss. She wasn't sure what to make of it to be honest. But his next statement caught her attention. She doubted highly that this man was going around and teaching this as some form of goodness out of the bottom of his heart. He had an agenda, but to what that was, she didn't know. Perhaps it was something to do with his own pacts with the creatures, or maybe it was just something to do out of a mind-shattered boredom. "None sense, I always repay my debts. Without debts and boons this world would simply fall into ruination. Wouldn't you agree? I doubt highly that you work to spread rainbows... you wouldn't have taught me this otherwise. There's another reason. But your motives and reasons are either none of my buisness nor concern. I do hope that you will concider my service to repay you in the future, whether or not you choose to cash out on my boon, well... that will be up to you, won't it... of course it is." Yuzuki let her summoned crawl around with her on its back, allowing it to stretch its legs and for them to bond together. While she was so tired, she felt a little vulnerable... that tends to change when you have a scorpion that could take out and eat a horse.

Kishi's smile relaxed a little along the edges.
"Keesee... Can't say I was expecting a sense of... justice out of you. Keesee..."
He played with one of his rings. Taking a beat before speaking again.
"I like to think of myself as... a supplier of sorts. If the power of this world is monopolized by a single source... Well then, that does a number on the economy of life, doesn't it? It does. I'm merely doing my part to make sure the world stays... diverse."
This was the type of person who started wars for profit. It certainly explained his distaste for ninja villages that hoarded military power.

"Justice is a corrupt word, I harvest so that I may reap in the future." Yuzuki's face turned a little more serious. "I hate to point it out to you... but this world is monopolized by a single person. It is a sad fact in life, that those with power, force those who have none to bow to them... and none are more powerful than the Kage. It is slavery by power, and I grow tired of being supressed. Someday, my power shall eclispe that even of the Kage. This power that you gave me... it shall be the first step on a road to greater things. Only through conflict can human kind truely prosper, the Uzumaki allience is a betrayal of the shinobi way, at least... thats how I see it." Yuzuki looked into where his eyes would be, she liked this man, a man who was more interested in creating conflict so that he could benefit himself more than others. An admirable trait for any man. "So tell me, Kishi, where are you planning of going now that you seem to have completed your self-appointed mission?"

Kishi whistled a low note. "You sound like a Sound ninja with that philosophy." He shrugged, "Though I can't blame you. They're an interesting sort, even if it's for all the wrong reasons."
One could only imagine what constituted "wrong" in Kishi's mind.
He flipped his raised arms so his hands were on his hips.
"I'm thinking I might be headed west... You know; rainbows and such." Twas a suitably vague answer from an equally vague man.
"'Til then, I suppose you won't have a problem dealing with any rapscallions on your way home now, will you? You won't." He scratched himself with his ring once more and Missy reappeared with a POOF. He struck a pose with one foot atop Missy's side.
"Show me something interesting next time, ragamuffin. Keeseeseeseesee~"
POOF!
Missy disappeared and Kishi went with her.
