"Come on brother, hurry up," Mhairi called in a sing-song voice from the doors of the labs, fluffing out her dress for what had to be the tenth time in their journey to the door. Dorian sighed and looked up at Kai, begging to be taken home. It wasn't that he disliked the labs or anything, it was more being in the presence of his sister.
Kai sighed, dragging the boy through the doors of the labs with Mhairi skipping ahead, ignoring the dark looks Dorian gave her. Nothing would mess up her meeting with her siren mommy, not even her brother's dark attitude towards her.

(I assume you did a journal entry for their assignment as I don't remember rping it?)
They were greeted at the door by a short woman with large and floofy brown hair, who wore black glasses over her eyes and looked more like a little kid than anything. "Hey there, here for a meeting?" she asked pleasantly, looking around the cheery bunch. Well okay, not bunch. The cheery girl and her family.

((I did. Well, I will once I finish writing/typing it. I figured it would be easiest for everyone and be one less thing to reply to every now and again.))
Mhairi smiled sweetly. "Mhm. Me an' my brother are here t' see m-our siren mommy. Right daddy?" she asked the man, that cute look hiding the malice within. Nobody could resist such a cute little face, right?
Dorian sighed as Kai nodded, gaze turning to the floor and away from his overly cheerful and polite sister. It made him sick how she could act so nice and perfect around people and yet be so cruel to him. What did HE ever do to deserve such treatment? Nothing, that's what. "Yes, we's here for a meetin'," Kai replied politely, glancing down at Dorian's quiet and still form.

"Ahaaaaa....well, she's this way." Apoxi told them with a nod, motioning for the family to follow her down a hallway.
The room they were led to was mostly consisting of a large pool and two sets of rocks. However, the waters themselves were split in the middle and even the rocks looked different. The water on the near side was a gorgeous blue-green, and the rocks were dark and smooth, with seaweed hanging off of them. On the farside, however, were jagged rocks and dark but fresh waters, upon the rocks which sat a pale skinned creature with a bare upper body and cold eyes.
Nearby their legs, a giggle was heard. "Ohhhhh, looks like more lil ones to see you, 'yette!" called a chipper voice from the salt water. The mermaid's head poked up, her hair tinted green and pink and her eyes bright as she waved to the children, her chest buoying up a bit as she popped up to wave. "She's a lil shy, so don't take it hard, hm?" Cerrein told the two before ducking down into her cave again.
Apoxi shook her head some, "That was Cerrein, our mermaid. She's...friendly. Anyway, as she said, Hvyette's over here and is a tad anti-social. Please do not be alarmed if she's not particularly huggy."

Mhairi blinked at the sudden appearance of the mermaid, flashing Cerrein a soft grin. She seemed nice, but unfortunately wasn’t a parent they were going to meet with that day since there was no relation between them and not the goal of the visit. They, meaning Dorian and herself, were meeting with Hvyette, the siren on the other side of the pool in a much darker environment. Still, despite being absolutely bubbly and sweet most of the time, Mhairi thought the siren’s side of the pool to be the better half and not because there was a relation between them.
And Dorian had to agree with her, though for probably different reasons than the ability to hide. He just liked the dark and anything that had an eerie feel to it was all. As they wandered a little closer, Mhairi smiled sweetly. “Hi. I’m Mhairi and this is Dorian,” she said, completely ignoring how her brother actually looked like he wanted to introduce himself. Yet, the girl seemed intent on putting herself in the spotlight and shoving him, once again, off to the side. To say he was upset was an understatement, but he made no outward show of said emotions. If he did, he was sure the girl would do something incredibly evil.

The siren looked over the pair for a few moments before addressing them. "Aha. Good toh meet jhoo." her words were as cold as her waters and accented heavily, but in a strange floaty voice. "I ahm Eevyeyht. Vhat deed jhoo veesh to know?"

"What do you do here?" Mhairi asked, glancing around at the pool. It had to be boring, being cooped up here in one place. Really, it was downright cruel. "Where did you live before coming here too?" she added sweetly, flashing the siren a smile as well.
Dorian just shook his head, dumbfounded but unable to really do anything about it. Mhairi was better than him at everything, so attempting to ask his own questions was as pointless as they themselves were.

Hvyette sighed some and rolled over a bit to look at them, her cleavage pressing into the rock. "Ay ahm frohm ze north. Ay joosed to leef in the icy vaters off a layhk near Roosha." she explained, "Eet vas frozen most off ze taim."
