With his funds and supplies running dangerously low, it was about time for Blade to make his runs around town. Aside from some smaller pickings from people's pockets and the like, he was wondering he might be able to raid a store or two later on. He'd have to be more careful and scout out the place ahead of time for any building break ins. Not that he minded the extra challenge by any means. There was always something incredibly satisfying about planning out and raiding a place and getting away with it.
He was well aware that some of the others didn't approve of this sort of thing completely, but that didn't stop him. Rarely did he get caught nowadays, and the others could always find ways to get their own funds or food if they really wanted.
Thinking he was alone, he made his way over towards the market district early afternoon while the place was bustling with business. Grinning at all the people, his eyes immediately began scoping out the various individuals, trying to assets how rich they were. He also looked at some of the market stalls in the area, as well as try to spot locations of guards if there were any. In other words, he was taking everything in, observing the zone carefully.
The place was rather diverse, as far as he could tell. There were some paupers, as well as the wealthy.

The morning with the others had been rather dull. Tobi was in sight of a challenge and had yet to get that from anyone in the group. Mitsu and the other girls had feed him plenty, gave him pets, and cuddled, but his mind was busy and needed something more. He had notice Blade depart and knew him to be likely to play at least fetch, so without much else to keep him in place he followed the thief on light paws.
He had followed him quite a ways to the market where Blade had stopped to observe people. He had seen the ones he had stayed with before do this. Instantly his eyes lite up and he gave a small yip to signal his presence, sitting down at Blade's feet.

The sound of a yip besides him snapped Blade from his observations rather quickly. Glancing down, he saw Tobi sitting by rather obediently. He thought the dog had stayed back with the girls, but it seemed he had wanted to see what the thief was up to. Unfortunately if he wanted to play, he didn't really have time at the moment. It probably wouldn't be too good of an idea to have the dog follow him around the market too.
"Heya boy," he said while crouching down to pet the shiba inu on the head, "I'm kinda busy right now so I don't really have time to play, ok?"
Smiling weakly, he glanced up, spotting a promising target. It was a woman wearing a rather lavish dress. She even had a dainty umbrella with her to shade herself from the sun. It appeared she had a boy with her, carrying various goods from the market. Immediately, his eyes shot to the purse that hung from her arm as she moved through the market.
"Stay here ok? Be a good boy and I'll give you a treat," he told Tobi before standing up and making his way towards his two targets.

Tobi tilted his head as Blade spoke but leaned into the hand that was petting him. His eyes seemed to show a sense of understanding as he followed Blade's gaze to the woman and boy. However, Tobi wasn't quite as obedient with Blade as he was with Mitsu. So instead of staying he followed right after the thief and toward the woman.
Passing Blade up he instantly engaged the little boy giving a small bark his tail wagging behind him. He was a much smaller breed of dog so his size was far from threatening. It was also hard to take the tongue dangling out of his mouth as he panted happily as anything less than funny. Sitting back as he gave another bark, he lifted his front paws in almost a begging motion, his ears perked on the top of his head. Thankfully the blue bandanna that he wore about his neck kept him from looking like a stray and more like a pet that had possibly wandered off.

Blade paused as he spotted the dog going right past him and towards the pair up ahead. Frowning a bit, he kept from advancing while wondering why Tobi had to run towards them of all people. He could potentially mess up the grab!
Hearing the bark, the bag boy looked down to see a cute dog greeting him.
"Oh hi puppy!" he greeted. If his hands weren't so full, he probably would have petted the dog some. He thought of trying anyway, but a snooty voice caught his attention.
"My, such a cute little dog. But come Joseph, we don't have time to be playing," the woman said before looking at Tobi. She bent over towards the canine, but instead of petting she simply made a light shooing motion. Her purse hung low to the ground as she did this. "Run along now. I'm sure your owner is looking for you."
Watching all of this from afar, Blade was now wondering what the dog was up to exactly. He thought on trying to capitalize on the situation, but instead just waited to see what would happen.

Panting happily Tobi stood up on his hind feet keeping his balance rather easily. His attention finally fell on the lady who had something he was indeed familiar with. Watching her purse move this way and that close to the ground Tobi seized the opportunity. Normally he was used as a distraction, but that wasn't to say the bandit dog didn't know how to snatch a purse. He had generally been rewarded so well for doing so.
Suddenly leaping forward in a playful manner, Tobi took hold of the purse between his teeth lifting the item up and tugged backward. He had learned this motion because it normally pulled the item free where tugging along would normally get the purse snagged or give the victim time to grab hold. If the purse was secured Tobi would be sure to bolt quickly after, darting in between the legs of those walking in the street.

Not expecting the sudden grab, the woman let out a startled shout. The purse broke free of her grasp fairly easily as well. And before she could grab it back, the dog had bolted off.
"OH! BAD DOG!" she shouted while trying to see where the little beast had run off to. It wasn't easy to spot him, being a relatively small breed. She shouted at her bag boy to try and fetch her purse, but he stammered something back about having his hands too full to be running.
At that point, Blade had stopped paying attention to the two and was now making his way into an alleyway. That was a rather interesting trick Tobi had pulled there. And he had a slight feeling it might have had something to do with his previous owners... So the thief had gone to an area where there wouldn't be so many eyes, in case his suspicions were true and the dog would return to him with the purse.

It wasn't long before Tobi reappeared. He had gone the long way around, coming up the back side of the alley. A trick to limit being followed and to keep from leading pursuers to his owners. The purse was still dangling from his mouth as he gave a muffled bark to get Blade's attention.
Sitting back on his rear his tail began to wag. He dropped the purse at his feet looking up at Blade with a face full of pride. Panting in his happy moment his tongue flopped out the side of his mouth.

Not quite expecting Tobi to come up from behind, Blade glanced around to see the happy dog there with the purse. It seemed he had been trained rather well in this sort of field. Grinning deviously, he reached over and petted the dog, giving him a good scratch behind the ears. He didn't have any food he could give him... yet.
"Goooood boy. You're a smart one aren't you?" he praised before pausing to check the contents of the purse. As he suspected that lady was quite loaded. He pocketed the items of value, then tossed the purse over by the trashcans nearby.
Now, he had to wonder what other tricks this dog knew. Quickly, his eyes scanned the market to try and pick out a potential victim. Across the market, he saw another woman, though she didn't have so much of a snooty look to her. Her clothing suggested that she, while maybe not filthy rich, was comfortably wealthy.
"Hey Tobi, see that woman over there?" he started while motioning to the target, "Go act like an injured dog for her."
It might be a little suspicious for a dog to keep snatching everything, so he was planning on following up this time. Plus he would have an easier time observing how this would go if he went in for the snatch.

Quite pleased with himself Tobi leaned into the ear scratching. It wasn't a treat but it certainly was something. When Blade brought his focus back out into the crowd, Tobi was instantly on alert. It was almost like his entire demeanor changed and he was ready for action. As Blade pointed out the lady Tobi gave a short soft bark in a way of reply. Indeed he saw her.
As soon as Blade said 'injured dog' Tobi was on it. He moved out into the crowd a fair ways until he was only a short distance away. He was coming up from behind so there was no worries that the lady would see him just yet. Lifting his front paw he continued toward the lady with a staggered limp. As soon as he was close he let out a soft whine, one that sounded pained. To complete his look his ears drooped to the sides of his head, his brown eyes looking rounder than usual.

Soon after Tobi moved out, so did Blade. He kept his distance, keeping his eyes ahead of him. This was definitely different from his usual routine, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He was greatly intrigued by this new development really.
Hearing the pained whine of what sounded like a dog, the woman turned around and gasped as she saw the poor limping creature there. The poor thing was hurt!
"Aww... you poor thing..." she said in a soft voice while crouching down to try and examine it more. It looked like there was something wrong with its paw. Did its owner do that? "Here.. let me oh!"
While she was crouched down, someone had apparently tripped or bumped into her. She didn't fall over completely but she almost did. Quickly, she looked up to see who had so rudely done that but all she saw was a wisp of black cloth disappearing into the crowd.
Having snatched her wallet, Blade had a sly glint in his eyes as he made his way around to somewhere safe for him to meet up with Tobi once again. The dog was a natural! Now normally he didn't have help, but he still felt that certain thrill as he did when working alone. Once he was a safe distance away, he waited to see if the shiba inu would meet up with him.

As soon as Blade had come and gone Tobi tilted his head as the lady turned to see who had bumped into her. Quickly he let out a sharp bark as a distraction for the thief before he too darted off into the crowd. Around feet and under carts Tobi disappeared under the table cloth of a meat stand.
By the time Tobi made it back over to Blade the canine had spoils of his own. Dangling from his mouth were a few links of freshly made sausage. Taking a seat beside the thief, his tail wagging furiously behind himself, Tobi began to nibble on his food.
Wealth seemed to be no exception for the next gentleman to hit the market. His clothes spoke of some line of nobility, his fingers covered in rings. He had a manner of servants at his side that he would send off to fetch him things, merely pointing and giving a command. Shopping was generally not his thing it would seem, but he was not here for your normal everyday goods. This gentleman came to stop in front of a shop teaming with artwork, vases, and other finery to decorate a home. This is what he was here for, something he could not trust to a mere servant.

"That's a pretty neat trick you know there," complimented Blade as he pat the dog on the head. He took note that Tobi had apparently snagged himself some food as well. How amusing, seeing how he had pocketed some meat for the dog as he made that run. Oh well, he may as well give him his reward anyway.
"Well, here's a little treat for that one," he said as he offered Tobi a piece of jerky, "Watch out how much you eat though or you might not be able to keep running like that."
Once that was done, he did a quick check of his current prize pot. Not a bad pull at all so far. Still, it would be good to grab a few more just to be safe. Some of the things around here could be pretty pricey and all.
Out of the corner of his dark red eyes, the thief spotted a particular gentleman. Raising an eyebrow, he watched him for a moment or so. Certainly this guy could afford to lose some coin... if not some of those rings he wore. Rubbing his chin as he contemplated how he was going to tackle this one, he glanced down at Tobi once again.
"Ready for another go?" he started before motioning at the new target, "That gentleman over there... why don't you try and distract him by trying to play with him? Be all cute and energetic and stuff."
He wasn't certain if the guy would buy it, but he wasn't quite sure how Tobi could help out in this case.

Quickly Tobi downed a link of the sausage leaving the other two in favor of the jerky Blade was offering him. He downed the meat easily enough licking his chops after he had finished. For a moment he thought about chewing on the other links but Blade had issued a warning about eating too much. Perhaps there would be food later?
Seeing Blade turn back toward the crowd, Tobi wiggled his head between Blade's arm and his side. His vision settled on the man Blade had indicated a low chatter emitting from his throat. So he wanted him to play? That didn't always work with guys, but he would give it a shot.
Pulling his head free the Shiba Inu made his way through the crowd. The man appeared to be busy looking through the vases and sculptures that sat outside the shop that he didn't even notice the little dog approach.
At first Tobi barked which got the man's attention, if nothing else it startled him into realizing there was a dog present. The nobleman wheeled around but instead of finding a big dog like he expected he saw Tobi. The little dog seemed to come no higher than his knee. Glancing around he didn't see any one present that looked like they might own the creature, but was that really his concern?
Again Tobi barked, this time when the man turned to him he had his rear in the air, his front legs extended in front of him. His tail wagged behind him as he yipped again, tongue dangling out the side of his mouth. The nobleman stared at him awkwardly for a moment but made no real response.
After a bit of prancing around, hopping and in general throwing a fuss about wanting to play and getting nothing, Tobi decided on his own to change his tactics. The nobleman had told him to shoo and was about to turn back toward his artwork but he was about to be sorely mistaken if he thought he could ignore the dog that easily.
Jumping up Tobi took hold of the corner of his jacket with his teeth giving it a vicious tug. He by no means had enough weight to pull the man off his feet but it was enough to make him stumble forward.

Well this one wasn't quite working too well but it was a distraction nonetheless. Tobi seemed to be able to improvise rather nicely when the man didn't seem all too playful at all.
Quickly rushing over, Blade looked concerned and held a hand out to the fallen man. Just getting close would be enough for him to grab a few things.
"Oh my... Are you alright sir? That was quite a stumble you took there..." he said with worry in his voice, "I hope you aren't harmed... Here let me help you up."
