(I am permanent controlling Kesho, Xavier and Gambit, other than that I'm using as NPCs)

Kesho Higashi, a winged, white tiger felinoid (cat person), Remy LeBeau aka Gambit, Piotr Rasputin aka Colossus and Sean Cassidy aka Banshee were all sitting in the rec room, playing a game of cards when Xavier called them and a few of the others into a meeting.

Kesho, knowing Remy, grabbed the part of the pot that she put in before he could snatch it all before making her way to the meeting.

There they met up with Jean Grey, Ororo Munroe aka Storm, Scott Summers aka Cyclops, and Robert "Bobby" Drake aka Iceman.

Professor Xavier was standing at the front of the debriefing room when they got there. He motioned for everyone to sit down. "I've asked you all here because the system that is monitoring the New York school has found that someone has gotten a lot of the systems up and running, I've done a scan of the school and found that there are three confirmed mutants in the school at this time. I need you eight to accompany me there just in case these are hostile mutants, I'll be able to tell more when we get closer. Now everyone, get your suits on and meet me on the Black Bird." Xavier rolled out of the room and towards the bay where the Black Bird has been staying.

The rest of them were excited for the most part, this was the first mission that they had been on sense they had come there to "protect the Professor".

Kesho was the first one on the plane and the others filed in as they got there.

Everyone buckled up and they were on their way.
