Intro

The stalls roar with chatter as villagers, tourist and shinobi alike fill the seats of the stadium. The time for selling merchandise on the streets and idle chatter has ended as the final round of the exam is upon the remaining contestants. For the first time all who have come to watch the exams are able to view the select shinobi that made it to this final stage as 17 young combatants are led to stand in line for all to see. A hush breaks over the crowd for a moment as they look for those of their own country and in the leading moments cheers and jeers erupt at the contestants.

After a few moments, the crowd is hushed as a proctor steps foreword to talk to the crowd and the genin alike. "Welcome to the Sound Village, home of this year's Chuunin Exams!" The proctor bellowed out, stopping only to allow the crowd to cheer happily before continuing on as they settled down once again. "Before you stand the final genin that have surpassed those that are not here currently. Ready for their final test, they shall compete against each other in combat so to demonstrate their abilities. Remember, just defeating all who are here does not mean you will pass. But going farther into the tournament does earn you more chance to show your abilities." The proctor announced, the last part being said only to the genin before him. With a bow, he walked away, leading the genin that were to fight later out of the arena.

------------------- Notes -------------------

Note 1: This thread is for all Participants as well as any other player that wishes to watch the fights. Any comments or reactions to the fights that are occurring at the moment are to made here rather then the actual fight area so not to clutter it.

Note 2: Fights are until one member is either Unconscious or Gives Up. A player will be Disqualified if he or she kills/attacks their opponent after being left Unconscious or Gives Up. If however a player is Conscious, does not Give Up, and is it hit hard enough to be killed then it is on no fault of the attacking party.

Note 3: There are various alterations for each stage. Do read the first post carefully of your own battle carefully so to know what is changed.

Note 4: The winner of the H Block has a second fight before the second round.

Note 5: All participants have up to 3 days to arrive for their fight, otherwise will automatically forfeit their fight. However if possible to leave an inactive notice, your fight will be placed at the bottom of the schedule to allow you time to return. -No response within 2 days of a post during a fight causes said hit to automatically hit. If you do not respond to your turn in 2 days you pass. If for some reason you are unresponsive for a total of 6 days, you are DQ'd. Going inactive after a fight starts counts as a DQ.

Note 6: Damage to Chakra/Stamina as well as Fatigue and Criticals/Debuffs(Pending Heavily on RPical Sense - Mod Call[IE DO NOT LISTEN TO ANOTHER PLAYER, ASK ssA/Ele/DBL ONLY) received during matches shall be retained to the next round. However half of whatever you lost in Chakra/Stamina/Fatigue will be recovered to represent the ability of the Medic Nin of the facility helping you during the time between your last match to the next. (If you RPically refuse then you mechanically lost out.)

You can, of course, attempt to regain more during the off time. You may attempt to heal, focus, rest or receive healing every two days out of game. Remember, any criticals/debuffs received must be removed by you or another player, medic nin will not do that for you unless it's unconsciousness(2 out of game days wait).

After being escorted out of the roaring arena, Hisaki dashed up to a private box overlooking the arena. He'd reserved it just before the second exam, and had orders made to accommodate his party. In the viewing box was one long table, long enough to fit at least ten people comfortably. There was another table away from the table covered with a small buffet of covered platters and heated gastonorm containers. Hisaki walked over to the window overlooking the battlefield and tapped at the glass as the two first genin were about to fight, "It's like dinner and a movie. Hehe."

Behind him, he heard the door click. An employee of the stadium nodded and greeted Hisaki, then asked, "Is there anything else you'd like before the event begins?" Hisaki drummed his fingers on the fine wooden railing near his waist, and said, "Would you please send someone to direct my group up here. They don't need to insist that they come, just simply direct them. And make sure that we get the announcements in this room. I don't want anyone to miss their competition, you know what I mean?" The employee nodded, and replied, "We'll have someone on this right away. Your guests should be up momentarily."

Before leaving, the man put the bill on the table, and said, "Your bill and receipt are on the table. For god sakes, I hope you can pay that." Hisaki meandered over, and flipped over the upside down order form. His eyes bulged momentarily, but then relaxed, "Don't worry. I've got the payment all figured out."

Hisaki looked out over the battlefield, and scratched the back of his head, "Dad isn't going to be in a good mood about this though, hehehe... At least he makes a good pile of cash from his job though. Paying two and a half thousand should be no real problem... Hopefully..." Hisaki slowly reached up and grabbed his face, he could already imagine the pummeling, but maybe if he was lucky... He'd actually survive this little gambit of his.

Vyrin hummed to himself lightly, an amused smile playing across his lips as he stood at the entry for all the genin to come through. He was meant to stand out there with the group, having passed all the previous exams with flying colors but he had chosen to dodge out of the tournament, leaving one of the competitors to fight twice before the first round was up. He had seen what one of the entries in the exam had done in the earlier tests, massacring other genin like it was nothing. The boy had seen power like that very few times and a knew from the start that it would be an unwise move to even attempt to challenge it. Now, all he wanted to do was give a heads up to his sister and possibly Notwen, but he hadn't seen the boy in the group...

Moving about the crowded streets in order to make it to the area of the third stage of the exams, Tobias maintained his disguise as a Hidden Rock proctor, wearing a simple pair of cut off gray cargo pants over a fishnet suit with a flak jacket. Tobias simply maintained this form as it would be much easier to move around in a crowded village while he looked like everyone else, rather than a giant black man eating tiger as many have mistaken him for in the past.

"Damn it Sentai you have been off having the time for your life since we got to the village, and now I'm the one that needs to preside over our viewing area for the tournament. I swear when you get back if your not already missing an eye or an arm I sure as hell am going to take one." Tobias said angrily grinding his teeth slightly as he made his way into the crowded stadium and quickly found the sitting area for Earth country. With little regard for anyone else in teh box Tobias sat himself down in the kage's chair only shooting an angry glance at anyone who dared to stare at him.

"Now then, lets see just how strong the genin of this age are and how much blood they will shed for their own nations." Tobias said with a slightly sick sense of humor as his anger was clearly still in control, but the sight of the stadium and the genin brought him back to his years as a cub when he assisted a much younger Sentai through his exams.

Yuki's head was still buzzing from the second exam as a proctor briefed them on the next exam. He thought this part of the exam was inevitable, fighting against one another was a tradition for the chuunin exams. The Yamanaka followed the crowd until someone deliberately stepped in front of the genin, "Yuki Yamanaka, you are to be escorted to the private box by a Hisaki Hyuuga." The employee politely announced, as he turned around and charged towards the private box. Before he could have responded, Yuki quickened his pace to keep up with the man. For some odd reason, The self proclaimed Bishop noticed that the escort liked to quicken his pace as soon as he caught up.

Even though the trip upwards was quite annoying, Yuki opened the door to the box that Hisaki had reserved. In it, a table fitting for a small group of people was properly furnished, along with food already being heated, or had been heated, nearby. A gargantuan window had one of the best views of the battlefield below, which was gathering a lot of attention as the first two genin had already started the show. He closed the door as he made a gruff shout towards his comrade, "Hisaki, what the hell is wrong with you?" But before the Hyuuga could counterattack, he continued, "How are you paying for this? And how many people did you invite?" He questioned, pointing towards the ten sets of chairs. Yuki glumly walked towards the windows, resting his forehead against the glass. The cold surface helped relieve some of the buzzing that his head endured. Down below, it seemed the initiative attack had already been thrown. Fuyu, as the announcer had called him, had utilized the clone jutsu, and began making some type of wind attack. "By the way, have you seen the results of the second exam?" He half-whined, half-asked, closing his eyes momentarily.

Yuki entered the room first, and he was the first to explode over Hisaki's shenanigans. "Wrong with me?" Hisaki restated the question, but was cutoff with another question about the finances of Hisaki's crazy venture, "Well, you see, the total price of everything is about two point five thousand ryo. I got a discount because I'm a participant, and because my invites were to other participants. I invited..." Hisaki counted on his fingers, Me, Yuki, Notwen, Hatsuma, Oasis, the Mist chick whose name I can't remember, and the creepy loli... Lilith "Seven. Plus extra seats for anyone I forgot to invite... Then it's being paid THROUGH," Hisaki announced, fumbling for a small card in his pocket, "THE MAGICAL POWER OF DAD'S CREDIT CARD!" Behind the plastic card, Hisaki had his trademark smile plastered across his face.

"Granted, Credit Cards aren't all that big yet, but because this was such a big place, they excepted and charged it on the card. Now, I'm probobly going to be in deep crap when I get home, but I have a plan to pay off some of it: There are a few betting booths around, so I figure at the beginning of every fight, besides this one, I'll bet some cash on a ninja, hopefully win, then use that money for the next bet. If I do this right, I could win about... half of what I owe. I just need a bit of luck, and a bit of smarts, you know? Your buddy Hisaki has this all figured out."

Hisaki slipped the card back into his pocket, and looked outside at the beginning of the fight. It seemed that a ninja used the Clone Technique. Apparently, he was blind too. The group of ninja then conjured up an odd whirlwind that flew towards the other ninja. Hisaki heard Yuki mention the second Exam scored, "Yeah, they totally suck. That's why we gotta do friggen amazing during this exam to even hope to get to chuunin this time around. I have a feeling we're going to fail overall, but it's not too big of a deal, there's always next year... By then, we'll be good enough to pass."

Ka’rinth had filed in and ignored both the proctor and those making up the crowd as he focused instead on those lined up with him. He had enjoyed the acting school during his down time and even managed to finish making the curry before it was time to come here, as it was he had not eaten more than a bite simply because he never did. A single bite was a good reminder of the feeling of acid and lava and the rest could be dried, powdered, and made into a very nasty variation of a smoke bomb for his puppets. He kept his scrolls under his cloak and had a simple player’s mask ready to hide his face when the fights began. After all it never would do to reveal the tricks of his eyes publicly and the first step to that was to make them appear to be part of the mask, after all he had not met others that had eyes that became black with a red center so why should he worry about doing more than donning a mask and using shadows cast from it to distort what was actually happening. He had chosen a simple black mask with various red whorls and a blank expression to emphasize his own nature of hiding behind a façade of apathy. As he shuffled out of the arena he moved to a set of seats to observe the fight while activating his own Advanced Sharingan to observe the fight and begin creating a mental file on the other combatants. He did this unobtrusively as he sat back feigning disinterest and watching both the fight and the crowd carefully.

’I shall fight to honor the name of Kaiten, the name of my father…

Erkamina sighed and entered the area, ignoring pretty much everyone as she did. She was still rather angry with the 'team' she'd been stuck with and looked around, not seeing them yet. Good, it was best that they suffered for what she had seen. "Let them rot..." She thought angrily, only to have her face become less hard "not that I wasn't guilty of the same thing last round. Ugh, all this teamwork stuff doesn't work for me. It's not my style. If it was I would have easily passed that last round for literally carrying that team through. They were pathetic..." She thought, both chiding herself and placing blame on others at the same time. She looked around again, this felt strangely like a battle arena. Good, a one-on-one battle was more her style anyway. She wasn't one for teamwork. Besides, a Chuunin should be able to think on their feet, not be dependent on luck or chance. She nodded at her thoughts, trying her best to give her self a pep-talk in spite of it all. Her probability of winning a round at random was quite low, after all.

… Soon I will show the world the worth of that name.’

Notwen didn't have the time or patience to deal with the receptionist. Reaching over the counter, he grabbed his liscence from out of her hand.
"Kaala, let's go!" he shouted over his shoulder while making for the revolving doors.
"Yes Master! I'm right behind you!" The duo ran down the street, ignoring the woman's shouts to come back. After getting far enough from the establishment, Notwen and Kaala rested by a bench to catch their breath. "So much for finding lodging." said the phoenix-boy after some time.
"I couldn't agree more, but i have one more place in mind." said the Uchiha, pulling out the scroll that Hisaky had given him earlier. Kaala looked at the writing.
"Master, that's the address of the Colosseum. That's where all the battles of round three are being held."
"Good work Kaala, do you know the way from here?" asked Notwen, stashing the scroll in his bag again.
"Yes Master, I memorized the streets while flying over the village a few hours ago." replied Kaala, beginning to walk towards the Colosseum. "That reminds me. Master, have you ever come across a purple-haired individual?" The question caught Notwen off guard. Memories of Markry began flooding his head. The majority of those that came up were of Sai, the man with the gunblades and black dragon.
"Yes, why do you ask."
"I saw him earlier today as well, while flying over the country. He's in a four-way battle with three others in a small village not far from here." Notwen stopped in his tracks to absorb this information. Kaala stopped too, noticing the drawn expression on the long-haired blonde's face. "Is everything okay, Master?"
"Yes, thanks for letting me know."

Once at the Colosseum's entryway, the duo spotted a lone figure leaning against the wall. As they got closer, realization of who it was made his jaw drop.
What is Vyrin doing here? he wondered. Don't worry about it, just act casual. Closing his mouth and trying to mask his surprise, Notwen turned to Vyrin. "Hey, there's a party going on in the sky box for those participating in the exams. If you want to come, follow us."

There was a crackle of what seemed to be lighting as Jin had blasted through the wind ninjutsu. The noises from below did not disturb the Yamanaka as he continued to rest his head against the cool glass. Hisaki had announced the use of his father's credit card, and even flourished it for dramatic effect. He even schemed a brilliant plan of betting on the ninja in the next couple of fights to help pay for it. "Why do I have a feeling you'll lose more money than you have already, making your situation worse?"

Yuki shrugged off the mention of failure, for the Genjutsu from the last exam was still lingering on his mind. Everyone he knew was angry at him for failing or disappointing them in some way, it really had irked him to see them like that. "...There's always next year." Yuki repeated, stepping away from the glass. "You're right, there's always next year." He knew there was always next time, but only if he survives this time. "By the way, why are you having people over for dinner?" The Bishop questioned, never really knowing why the Hyuuga decided to be generous now of all times.

Lilith entered the arena and was nigh instantly recognized by the worker that had been tasked with handing her the special boot invite.
She looked curiously up at Sasumateh who only shrugged and told her to stay out of trouble. Lilith nodded before running off happily towards the large booth that was pointed out.
Once she arrived her arms spread wide over her head as she spotted the food, her mouth drooling before she quickly dashed over to it and began to dig in hands first not seeming to bother using a plate or utensils.

Ka'rinth's head turned slightly as he surveyed the fight, ideally he would prefer to avoid fighting in public but it was the final step and the higher ups would be able to easily spot slacking in such a scenario. He titled his head slightly as he pursed his lips and ran his eyes over the crowds, there was some movement here and there of people being located and offered paper by some miscelaneous staff as well as a couple of the other genin just visible in a private box. Behind his mask Ka'rinth smiled widely as he decided that it might be a chance to possibly win by default. He had originally wanted to do something similar for the earlier tests but it was never good to seem too cunning or eager. With a slight frown he mentally debated whether Arachne or a puppet would be a better choice before reminding himself that he owed her a meal and as such a simple puppet would be more effective. Ka'rinth stood slowly from his seat and made his way out of the public eye and down some of the stairs that led to the waiting room before pausing in front of a janitor's closet and opening the door with a minor trick of chakra strings to pick the lock. He slipped inside and went to work disguising his ant lion puppet before pausing.

He had no way to know who would be present and what they would actually be capable of, in such a scenario using a puppet which could not be simply removed after the fact might cause problems if it was tracked so Arachne was a better option as in the worst case scenario she could simply sever her summoning and disappear without the risk of her leading people back to him. He tapped his foot for a bit and decided that it was best to go on and use her and he would just have to trade her three for the price of one. With a slight frown Ka'rinth sealed his puppet in a scroll and made a series of seals before using a small amount of blood on his left hand to summon the ice spider and begin bargaining with what it was he wanted done. The key was to wait for the climax and slip out then act before others could react. There were after all a number of ways to weaken a foe before a battle from theft, to disabling, to if it came to it misdirecting. Once he worked the plan out with the spider he slipped out from the room and allowed her to take her own path to the target as he simply rejoined the crowd in the stands watching the fight.

Notwen followed his companion up the stone stairs that led to the bleachers. Once up in the open seating, the sounds of battle reached the Uchiha's ears. Looking into arena he spotted to familiar figures: one was the masked spear-wielding kid from the maze, the second was Fuyu.
"What an interesting choice of battle. A lightning user pitted against a wind user. Fuyu should have the elemental advantage, but that masked kid seems to be holding his own against him." Kaala stopped and looked back from halfway up the bleachers.
"Master, the booth is just up these stairs." he called. Notwen turned from the fight and began climbing the stairs up to the sky box. He could see light coming from a small square window in the door. Opening the door, the long-haired blonde heard Yuki's voice talking about his low test grades. He stepped in holding the door for Kaala, and possibly Vyrin.
"Hey guys! Sorry i'm late. I hope you don't mind me bringing my companion." The phoenix-boy bowed, introducing himself.
"My name is Kaala vin Kasparra. It is a pleasure to meet you, hosts of this party." Apparently there were other participants there besides himself. There was a girl he hadn't seen before gorging food with her hands, which caused a disgusted grimace to appear on Kaala's face.

Yuki didn't listen to what Hisaki had to say, as a small girl of about nine, he guessed, dashed into the room and began flailing her arms in obvious excitement. The girl had blond hair and wore an over sized rain coat, she didn't speak a word as she began to devour the meal that Hisaki was somehow going to pay. She's eating with her hands... The Yamanaka thought, slightly disgusted. He began to walk over to her, to find out if she was actually invited, kids always have a tendency to do whatever they want and wander anywhere their curiosity takes them. However, before he could make half the distance to the girl, the door opened.

Notwen, and some newcomer, stood in the doorway. He hastily apologized for being late, which he wasn't since there were only three people here and the only one eating was the rain coat girl, and his friend introduced himself. "Kaala vin Kasparra, My name is Yuki Yamanaka of the leaf. It's nice to meet you." Yuki held out his hand for a handshake, but quickly brought his hand back to his side and shook his head. Notwen is already suspicious of my motives, which are harmless, but if I want to have a good impression with everyone here, I better learn to let things go, for the time being. He paused, before a grin settled itself on his usual cool expression, At least don't offend the people that already know.

Hisaki shrugged, and explained in a rather disinterested tone, "It saved my a** is all. Long story short, I got caught relaxing in a female hot spring and to make up for it without dying, I offered them dinner. Long story long: The men's side of the onsen was overpopulated, and filled with dicks, no pun intented, and I left after getting crushed by a sumo. I came up with a plan, transformed into a girl, snuck in, was found out very quickly by a horde of kunoichi. One of them attacked me, nearly trapped me in a genjutsu, then we battled it out with a pair of towels. After that, the bell announcing the standings were up, and in that window of oppritunity, I offered them dinner. I then spent the night both training for a new jutsu and booking reservations. Alot of places didn't except my father's credit card, but this place, being so big, did. I weaseled them down in price a bit, then accepted the deal, and..." Hisaki spun around, and with and amazing amount of emotion, he yelled, "HERE WE ARE!"

Suddenly, Lilith arrived, she seemed famished, and ran to the food, digging in without concern for plates, forks, or any other nessessity of cleanly eating. Hisaki scratched his head, and then Notwen entered with a guest. The guest introduced herself, and Hisaki smiled warmly, "Don't worry, I got a few extra seats just in case. I'm Hisaki Hyuuga, it's a pleasure to meet you." Hisaki then mentally noted That makes room for two more extra guests.

Hisaki noticed the girl's sickly grimace, "Oh, um... Hey, shorty! Lillith! Like what what's on your hands?" Hisaki slid over to the table, and grabbed what she was digging into, "You can have it, all of it! Here, lets just put that at the table for you, ok? Hisaki grabbed the few containers she'd dived into and quickly tossed them on the table, "And if there's anything else you want, please, just ask, and we'll get you some, ok? I don't suppose you'd like a fork or a spoon or something, would you?"
