He'd finally gotten everything moved from his wagon and placed to his liking. In the wagon he'd have to keep things tucked away for space's sake. There was a little more room here, but it sounded like they'd be living here for some time. Briefly he wondered how Optheli was settling in; he knew if anyone it wouldn't be her having the problems.
S'kor glanced at his pouch of spices and considered moving them to a 'safer' dragon-proofed location. Not that he didn't trust Scarath..... just that he didn't wish to find them ripped open for a taste testing or worse, eaten. With Scarath currently sated he deemed it safe enough to let it remain there for now. "Well I think that's about it. You're belly still looks lumpy from the last feeding so you can't say your hungry. Do you need oiling?"
He gazed down fondly on his dragonet. Although they had only been together a couple of days it seemed longer. S'kor wouldn't give up Scarath for anything. Glancing around he realizes that he had yet to see his bunkmate today.
The bronze gazed fondly at His from his curled position on his bed. His eyes whirl a slow blue-y green of content. 'I am not hungry, and I do not itch. You are happy and so am I. A nap would be nice.' His head gives a slight tilt. 'Mine I believe I hear someone coming.'

F'ren wasn't happy, not at all, he'd had to move his things from their rightful positions from the candidate barracks, all were packed into the bag he carted with him. Mine, i can help with that, so it isn't so heavy at which F'ren frowned at the green dragonet "no Toulonth, you're growing i wouldn't want you to injure yourself, i'll do it" he said out loud, whilst ahead of him chittering in equal annoyance was the silver flit, "Zevra will you stop scolding me, you will have plenty of chance to mess with my things once i get them back in order where we're going"
It seemed like forever to get there, between his dragon and his flit 'helping' him along. He smiled as he overhears talking in the room he'd been assigned to, "male company huh? shame we're banned from ... 'entertainment'" he chuckled to himself, What are you talking about Mine? asked Toulonth, "hahaha i'll tell you when you're older" he said preferring to speak out loud to his dragon mostly, rather than thought speak. As he entered the room he saw a vaguely familiar face "S'kor!, so You're who i'm bunking with?" he said, putting his bag down on the bed.

S'kor turned towards the door hearing his name. He gave a grin. "So it would seem, F'ren. So it would seem. Got everything in just one bag?" He arched a brow, then settled himself onto his bed. Figuring he could give his new bunkmate some company whilst he unpacked at least, or a hand if he needed. Though from the look of the green and flit F'ren had all the help he could ever want.
Scarath lifted his head as the trio enters and watched them all a moment. 'Good day Toulonth and to Yours. Are you having fun moving?'

F'ren gestuered to the trunk at the end of the bed containing his clothes "the bag is just personal stuff, someone brought my trunk up or so i was told anyway" he said, smiling and holding his arm out to S'kor "glad it's someone i know better than some of the others" he said.
Toulonth gave a small bugle of greeting to Scarath, well met Scarath, and to Yours as well, Mine is glad to be bunking here now, though he is a little grumpy she confessed looking up to the Silver flit who's eyes were tinged strongly with red as he scolded F'ren even while he was talking to the trader. Stop that or i'll eat you she said to him

S'kor clasped the proffered arm friendlily. "Aye that. Though didn't you have a friend you'd like to bunk with?" He let go and glanced at the trunk as if noticing it for the first time. "You're lucky there. I thought I'd never get all my stuff moved out of the wagon. So, is this much of a change from where you were?"
Scarath blinked a little more alertly. 'He doesn't seem that grumpy.' He commented hesitantly, he thought she was speaking of Hers; not the flit who was most certainly angry. Contented eyes peer up at the silver flit. 'Mine has very tasty meat, to sooth even the most empty stomach.' A soothing croon tries to calm the flit. 'I think Mine and Yours will get along very well.' He was watching the two talking.

F'ren waved his arm at the flit "Zerva i'm talking go and sit over there with Toulonth and....um ...Scarath Yes. er as i've just been reminded ..Scarath" he said shooting a swift dark look at his dragon, *i would have remembered you know* he thought at her Well now you remembered faster. F'ren sighed "getting corrected, and they say Dragon memories are short" he chuckled. "well there are a couple" he said his tone was suggestive "but i think it's a good idea that we get to know people other than our friends, since we'll all be flying together and learning too"
"i guess that's because i was a candidate before, you were one of the stands Impressions i think those are different" he said, though he'd not seen many, and certainly not as many as there had been this hatching.
Toulonth blinked He's not hungry, he's annoyed that Mine moved his things he'd collected, the little silver likes to steal them, or so Mine as told me, i haven't seen him take anything she said, Tasty meat? she asked Scarath could a please try some next time Yours makes some though is it's cooked then i wont eat it she said eyeing Hers and Scarath's talking yes, I think they will get along nicely

S'kor chuckle as F'ren mentioned being reminded. "Helpful aren't they?" He tilt his head, "do we know actually how short their memories are? Like a day? A sevenday? Or does it vary among dragons? Maybe even by color?" He seemed lost in his musings for a moment. "Hmm, that is a good idea. Maybe you'd be willing to introduce me around to a couple of your friends F'ren. Since you actually had time to make them here." He smiled.
He nodded. "Aye, I think the biggest difference is that you were prepared for it and we weren't! Ah well, what happens happens and I wouldn't change it." A fond glance gets tossed in Scarath's direction.
'Oh, my mistake.' The bronze bobs his head apologetically. 'But at least Yours brought the items with him right? He wouldn't want to loose the results of all that..... well hard work? Perhaps if Your's left the items hidden in his old room or some other place for him to re-'steal'? I could get Mine to play along.' He sounded amused by the whole thing.
'Of course! I will let you know when Mine is going to feed me and you and Yours can stop by. I'll make sure he saves some. Mine can add spices to raw meat that is tasty too.' He trilled happily. 'Yes, yes. And we can keep an eye on the silver so he doesn't cause Mine or Yours much trouble. I think Mine sort of likes him and finds him amusing.'

F'ren smiled warmly at S'kor "i dont think Dragon memories are short at all, i just think they dont remember things the same way as we do" he said after a short second of thought. He put his hand on S'kor's shoulder "dont count on doing much socialising just yet, oiling and feeding is pretty much all we'll do for a while" he said. Speaking of which Mine, i have an itchy patch F'ren chuckled "i should have kept my mouth shut, she wants oiling"
Toulonth gave an amused snort and nudged scarath reassuringly I've known the lizard for a short while but i don't think hiding things will help She lay down on her weyr and waited for F'ren to oil her after she'd informed him of an itchy spot. that would be a good idea to keep an eye on the silver, and it does seem that Yours keeps looking at the lizard

"Hu. That would be fascinating to indulge in exploration about. Though I fear you're right about the socializing. I hadn't realized how much work a baby dragon is. My stallion was never this much trouble." A rueful chuckle escaped. "Any my stallion never could talk back to me either."
S'kor glanced over at his dragon. "And I suppose you be itching or hungry by now right?"
The bronze looks contentedly at the green. His eyes whirl slow with sleepiness. 'Oh, that is unfortunate. If he is still a hatchling should we not watch over him too? I do not talk back and I am better than a stallion.' One blue-green eye rolls at his rider.'Mine do you want a flit like the silver? I am not particularly hungry or itchy yet.'

F'ren brushed a few strands of loose hair behind his ear, "i wouldn;t know really about stallions, the only thing other than dragons here is mostly the herdbeasts for food" he said with a shrug as he oiled Toulonth "i didn't realise just how much work went into taking care of them either, i mean, i always just thought the riders were exaggerating"
I dont think he's newly hatched Scarath, Mine had him before i found him, maybe he can help Yours find one like his? she replied to Scarath, her own eyes whirling gently as F'ren Oiling her was soothing.

S'kor nodded. "They ain't too bad as far as beasts go. Long as they were trained-up right. S'pose food beasts were nothing like the herdbeasts we used for pulling and riding. No, I can't see them keeping beasts they don't need." He looked around for something that needed to be done. Not finding anything, he remained sitting. "Hu. What did they say? We just have hatchlings. It'd be kinda nice to know what a full grown will need."
"Course you're better than any stallion." He blinked in surprise at his dragon's unexpected question. "A flit? Sounds like I'm going to have enough to do with just you around. What do I need one of them for? Alright, let me know if you do." He privately bet it wouldn't take long and grinned.
Scarath gives a sigh. 'Oh. It was a nice thought. We will see, maybe after I am grown he will want one. If Your's finds a nest Toulonth, will you tell me?' A hopeful eye watches the green.

F'ren nodded "it must have been nice to have a beast to ride, even if it wasn't a Dragon" he replied to the other. his arms were starting to ache a little but while she was this size Toulonth wasn't that hard to oil really and he imagined his arms would get used to the excersise by the time she get big enough to ride. He paused in his oiling, though he was almost done, to look to S'kor "Oh, they dont say much, i think they like to taunt us, mostly jsut how much work a Big dragon is" he smiled, then turned back to finish oiling Toulonth.
Toulonth gave Scarath a small draconic grin, her small teeth sharp in her jaw and her eyes whirled pleasant colours. "why dont we try and get them hunting? i'm sure we could find Yours a clutch if we can get to the beach. Mine told me that's where alot of small ones lay their eggs" she informed the bigger dragon. Her eyes half closed in happiness and relaxation as the oiling was making her sleepy.

"Well, it sure beats walking! My stallion had his own perks and we got along just fine. Though some of the beasts were amazingly dumb." He shook his head, remembering.
S'kor rubbed his chin, "well there's the obvious the dragon is bigger than he," glances at Toulonth, "or she, use to be. So we have more washing and oiling to do. However, they are catching and eating their own food. We don't have to cut it up anymore. Did I miss anything?" He looked at F'ren.
Scarath blinked at Toulonth then nodded vigorously. 'Yes I like that idea. Once he has one, he wont be able to say no. The beach, it will be good to visit.' Scarath settled down to do some plotting.

F'ren chuckled "there's one thing that's drilled into us, is the oiling, a Dry hide cracks Between and that can cause a dragon to die" he said with a shudder, leaning on Toulonth, who crooned back to him. Mine you will always take good care of me, i will always come back to you, and you to me. F'ren smiled and hugged his dragon's neck, yawning.
"We should get Ours to take us to the beach, i've heard that it's fun there" she said to Scarath, curling her tail around F'ren's legs "Mine seems happy with his Small One, Yours will be too" she said confidently "We WILL find Yours a Small One someday, when we are big enough to fly, we should take them anyway" she suggested

S'kor glanced at Scarath and gave a slow nod as his dragon mimiced the green's croon. "That is one lesson I don't think I'll forget. Not that they'll let us." He chuckled to try and take the tension out of the air. Just then he heard Scarath's stomach rumble audibly. "Well if that isn't a cue his belly is empty, I don't know what would be. I bet it's just about dinner time. Want to come F'ren?"
'The beach sounds fun. I'd like to roll in the sand and have it itch me all over. Yes we will, and he will like it. It wont take us long to get big enough to fly.' He nodded, as his stomach growled, Scarath looked chagrined. It was most certainly time to eat! 'Do you want to come with us Toulonth?'
