Thoughts ran rampant through Kang's mind as he hurried home from his daily errands. The streets were crowded, people milling about and shouting at one another, and at one point Kang had even leap out of the way as two brawling dogs came barreling in his direction. But despite the sweaty bodies that pressed towards him on either side, Kang did not mind, he rather enjoyed the liveliness of the ramshackle city. Black paws danced easily around the slower inhabitants, carrying him just far enough to avoid bumping his brawny shoulders against theirs. Today he could not afford to anger any by-passer least they delay his arrival back home.
As he neared the clay house he called his home, Kang could see his father pacing restlessly in front of the well kept building. The burly warrior broke into an absolute grin when he saw his son and with a jerking nod he ushered the boy towards the door. "He's just inside...A present befitting a true man."
And despite his father's excited eyes Kangara could not help but feel a bit apprehensive as he neared the dwelling entrance. Since when did his father consider him a man? With a hesitant nod he stepped inside.
