Enoh Love It never really did take long for Kgosi to go from content to infuriated on any given day. There was always one thing that set him off faster than anything on the entire planet, and that just so happened to be his 'Brother'. The big Blue Lion was his polar opposite, and while he admitted once to needing the jelly filled creature around him, it didn't stop him from getting roaring mad at him. Today was one of those days; it was still morning, and Kgosi was already in a horribly rotten mood. He couldn't remember what had even started it anymore, but he had stormed away, growling all the while. It was a walk to clear his head, and as he walked he had his claws out, digging at the ground with every step. The more distance he put between his adopted sibling and himself gave him more chances to clear his head. But today it didn't seem to work, and in a fit of misdirected rage, he turned and took a swipe at a nearby tree, making its bark fly.

Seaki That day, Damu felt odd. It was an odd day. In fact, it was the first day he had woken up outside of pack lands since he was, Gods, so young. It was odd not waking up to the ever-present chatter of pups in the morning. It was so... quiet, it was eerie. He didn't like it. Not at all. So he hummed to himself, trying to fill the quiet void of nothingness that he hadn't expected to come with leaving. But then, this was the first time he had ever really been alone.

Enoh Love Kgosi's annoyance wasn't quelled with the slash to the tree. Funny, that usually worked. Grumbling to himself, the tan Male clawed at the ground a few times, pretending he was stretching, and then shook his coat free of any little pests. It didn't work this time, despite it usually working to help him relax. Leaning away from the tree, he wandered over wo what he thought was a rock; of course, just before he pounced on it to lay down, he realized that it was actually an odd coloured dog. Luckily he stopped before pouncing, but he snorted in irritation. "You're an idiot to lay there by yourself." He growled out, really unsure why he was passing this wisdom along. "Someone could hurt you." Someone meaning him, amd almost.

Seaki Red eyes blinked up. Ah! A Lion. He'd never seen one before but his adoptive grandmother had passed along her knowledge. This guy had to be one, he looked on in curiosity before smiling. "Thank you for the advice," He spoke with a smile, stretching and standing. "I wasn't aware harm would come to me here, so thank you, Kind Sir," Damu gave a small happy hum. So kindness did come from outside as well as inside the pack. He was lucky to find someone so kind so early in his journey.

Enoh Love Kgosi frowned a bit, tilting his head and scrutinizing the dog. He'd seen them before, he knew what they were, but this particular one looked at him funny. Whats more...what in the world was he talking about? Growling a bit, he snorted again. "Okay, you're an idiot for other reasons, too." The tanned Lion grumbled, rolling his shoulders and flexing his claws into the ground under his paws. "Are you stupid? Harm can come to you anywhere. Just because someone is nice doesn't mean they're doing it for your own good." He warned again, the unusual dog distracting him thus far from his anger; but he was still irritable. With that he turned away from the dog, walking away. He'd already dealt with one idiot today, there was no need to find two of them.

Seaki Damu tilted his head - wondering how he was idiotic. Red eyes dulled at he thought, but for the life of him he couldn't come up with a solution. "What do you mean?" He asked, as the tan lion turned away from him and began... leaving? So Damu trailed after the lion. "I know that harm can come from anywhere, but... what did you mean by kindness isn't to help others?" That seriously confused him. What did that even mean? You were kind to help others right?

Enoh Love "You can be kind to be selfish." He snorted, his bright eyes casting a brief glaring glance over his shoulder at the bright Canine. "For example." Kgosi didn't sound pleased at having to clarify for a little pest that insisted on following him. "I thought you were a weird rock. I was going to claw you and lay on you." Now he was speaking with a faux air of kindness, but more like an adult talking to a cub on why they shouldn't play with their food. "But I realized what you were, and I didn't. Because, out of everything that could happen to me today, I don't want start it feeling even remotely guilty over wasting potential food, or have to clean my paws of blood, again." He kept walking, though his pace picked up, very much trying to get away from this do-good creature. "Ergo, I was being kind to you, but not because I care to help you."

Seaki Damu slowed his walk for a moment. It was a lot to think about. You could be kind and selfish at the same time. Had he ever been selfish? He was sure their were instances, but he wasn't kind at the same time. He was potentcial food? He was glad that the lion wasn't hungry then. But he sped up to continue trailing the lion. "Either way, thank you for not... eating me, or killing me I suppose," He said happily. "And even so, it was still kind of you."

Enoh Love Kgosi stopped walking suddenly, sighing heavily before a growl curled up on his lips. He'd just explained that he didn't do it for him, that it was purely selfish, and...he was still thanking him. Happily, at that. Growling in warning, Kgosi shifted his weight, rolled his shoulders, and stood up as tall as he could manage. "Too damned happy." He murmured once, quietly. It was almost annoying how easily this Dog looked on the brightside of things; and despite his earlier 'kindness' to the dog, he was already in a bad mood. "Go. Away. You're annoying! Your voice. Your optimism. Get away from me, Rat." This was the final warning; he really didn't want to have to clean his paws again.

Seaki Damu blinked again. Had he upset the lion? He obviously wasn't in the best mood at the moment. Perhaps he could cheer him up! "I'm sorry if I upset you," He noted with a tilt of his head, missmatched ears falling back in sorrow. "Can I do something to make it up to you?" He asked, continuing to trail behind the larger male. He was completelt unaware of the impending doom that thickened in the air, and the hanging warning.

Enoh Love Kgosi had already been a ticking time bomb, but with every word from the annoying dog, with every very honest offer, it ticked closer to going off. Shaking, the Lion let out a loud Roar, spinning around with a paw out, claws extended. He wasn't sure exactly where the Wild Dog was behind him, but swinging wildly at first could either land him a hit, or it would give further warning. Regardless, he took a swipe at the too-kind creature, growling all the while.

Seaki Damu reeled when he felt something heavy hit his chest - his breath was knocked slightly from lungs. He weezed, eyes wide with little comprehension of the situation and primal fear. It took him a few seconds to realize blood was mizing with the gold of his chest. He took a slow step back, eats flat and head ducked in insinctual submission. "I'm sorry," he repeated to the lion, taking another step back in hopes of appeasing the angry male.

Enoh Love The apology only made Kgosi's growl deeper, and with his head down low he advanced on the dog, his one paw leaving a tiny bloody trace with each step. Still, he insisted on doing it. That damned, irritable thing. Did this Dog want to die, was that it? How did he manage to survive this long, being that kind in the wild? Fuming, the Lion started to circle the creature he had just wounded, looking for an opening; which, to be honest, was pretty easy with this one. Soon he got too impatient, and Without another word Kgosi shifted his weight to his back legs and lept towards the wounded Dog, paws and claws extended, mouth open in an angry snarl to bare his fangs.

Seaki Damu yelped in pain, he didn't know what was happen, or where this new pain was coming from. It hurt everwhere! What was he supposed to do? Stay? Flee? Fight back? His eyes shifted against the pain, clouding and suddenly it didn't feel so bad. Not terribly bad - it still hurt a lot, but not as much. Mama had explained getting hurt like the thrill of a chase - that your body would do something to make the pain go away until you could do something about it. But he didn't know what to do! So it didn't help at all. He gave a whimper, "M'sorry, m'sorry," he tried to appease. It wasn't working! Not at all, no it wasn't. What had he done wrong? His vision blurred.

Enoh Love "Stop it!" Kgosi roared, fighting to pin the dog down under his weight. The apologies really only made him bite the dog, and never to kill him. Killing him would be a waste, but damn, SOMEONE had to do something about that personality of his! "Enough of your damned apologizing! There's no room for meek little shits like you in this world!" When the poor thing stopped apologizing, Kgosi stopped biting; but he kept him pinned, he would have to fight to get out of it at this point. "Do you ever let YOUR prey go when they ask nicely? No. You don't. Because you need to eat." A taunting tone; mocking everything the Dog was. To him, a hypocrit. Nice in the face of danger, but probably not one to spare dinner due to kindness.
