Professor Cadmus or Mr. Cadmus

This is a First year class(Though it can be taken at any year). There are no requirements, and no limitations, or race specifications. Plants are universal.
This class is however a requirement for Plants and Potions

Course description
Plants, Plants, and Plants. Your goal is to learn the basic of the plants in both our world and the crossworld. There are plants in the crossworld that are dangerous for growing monsters, ghosts, and demons. There are also herbs that ward off reapers and their magical abilities. There are also plants that can be dangerous to ghost's and the undead. These will be taken into considerations with the planning of the final exam. For the most part this will be lecture but I will do my best to keep it not as boring as it may seem to look like!

There will be field trips to examine the plants outside our own world.

Classroom Rules/Procedures
(OOC)1. Please turn off your Signatures, I understand you want to show off your pets or advertise for shop events but please let's keep the class thread clean <3 //Fish Tanks don't disappear when you don't attach your Sig so, your fish tank is allowed
(OOC)2. No outrageous post fonts, crazy hard to read colors or super tiny font please (Unless you're trying to whisper in hopes that the amazing Cadmus won't hear. Though I assure you he'll hear.)
(IC)3. No fighting, at all, as plants are universal, you as students must strive to do the same, all grudges are checked at the door. MY PLANTS DON'T NEED YOUR BAD ENERGY D l
(IC)4. Don't abuse your amazing freedom in class. Let's talk about things related to class, not your latest boyfriend.
(IC)5. Turn in the homework, all of it. If you're not in class you're still expected to do it it counts toward your overall grade in the end.
(IC)6. You HAVE to take the final. No way out of it, if you miss it for RL issues that's a different story but the Final will be open for a week so throw me some notification(PM/IM) while it's still open saying you can't do it at this time and I'll either give an alternate assignment like why you don't give a rats hoot about plants (Unless you do, basically it's just a short personal letter)
(IC)7. Attendance isn't mandatory but I won't go over any of the class's previous discussions unless I chose to. In short you miss class you miss the session, unless one of your classmate is willing to give you the notes.
(IC)8. Passing Notes >.> Don't get caught I won't stop other students from taking your note and reading it aloud to the class, and that can be embarrassing Though I'd personally lawl at it
(IC)9. You break something clean it up, I won't yell at you so long as you clean up your mess.
(IC)10. Did I mention no fighting
(IC)11. No magic, no tricks, and don't touch the greenery
(IC)12. Lets all get along * o*

Our Final::
A picture matching Scavenger Hunt. Each student (or group depending on class size) will be assigned a list of plants to find.
The plants will be spread through out the guild as pictures, on the lists assigned to the students there will be a hint as to where to find the plant but be warned there may be more then one plant in a thread so be wise and pay attention to the plants characteristics found in the plant book.
(The Final is subject to change should I find a problem or a more inventive/interactive final that I'd prefer)

[Course Reading Material's]

Course material
Yes there is Reading Material Sorry but it's not intensive
It's basically more like a directory dealing with Plants/Herbs

Now these are important while most are found everywhere there are plants that are found only in the "crossworld" that can be potentially dangerous, so you might want to check it out ^.^

Plant's and Herbs

While the Guide is still filling out if any of your assignments (or for curiosity's sake) if the herb/plant is not filled out then here is where you can look to see if more info on the herb/plant

The class room was like your average science room with tables in rows sectioned off to seat one too two students easily. Off to the right side of a room glass walls extended the classrooms length to create a sort of in classroom green house, A glass panel separated the extended part from the rest of the classroom where the original wall had originally been. On the back wall of the room sat a counter that covered the whole back wall, odd markings label drawers, Nothing sat on the counters themselves but above them sat rows if shelves full of tools to the trade of potion making, as well as common ingredient's. The walls appeared a green moss covered colored, and plants grew and hung along the walls, At the head of the classroom was a large black board with mass amounts of writing on it detailing the class schedule, class room rules, regulations, policies, and a little welcoming note. Similar to the student's tables a black table was seated in front of the blackboard.

A tall figure stood hidden in the green room hovering about a colorful plant that seemed to ooze with rainbow and sunshine. He poked at the plant at it closed itself up as if to hide from the prodding intruder. He rubbed his hand across his rough chin and then turn toward the class room.

Professor Cadmus shuffled casually toward toward his classroom. Distracted he mumbled on in self though about the rainbow and sunshine plant he'd found. "It bright... hum... awfully colored too... fu fu fu..." The glass panel slid open quietly as he left eh green room and entered his classroom. It was empty as it should be, he'd have to unlock the door so that the student would get inside on time. He checked over the board and saw that everything was neat as it should be, clear and concise. Though his thoughts were on that plant more then class. He turned his attention from the door to his pocket watch to check the time. Even opening the doors a little early wouldn't be so bad. "Crud" He rubbed his hand across his chin again he was over an hour and a half late unlocking his classroom. He ran a hand through his shaggy hair and shuffled to the door. With a quick flick of his wrist the door softly clicked and was unlock. He sighed and propped the door open so that students could see it was open. He had a feeling his class would be empty today seeing as he'd been so late unlocking and opening it. He shuffled to the front of his classroom and sat in a small chair that was next to the front table and rested his scythe next to him. His fingers traced the vines that were carved into the bulk of it. and waited.

Ithilethiel made her way to the class she was supposed to be in next. She was walking briskly, though she didn't look like she hurrying to anyone who might see her. She was late for class as usual. And to one of her favorite subjects too... she had had a bad habit of being late to every one of her classes before this, so she was used to being late by now. But she'd never been this late to a class.

She was surprised however, when she came around the corner to find the door to the classroom propped open. She quickly moved inside, expecting to find everyone already seated. However, she was quite surprised to find the room nearly empty. Had she missed the entire class period already? Then the blackboard caught her eye and she read it, a brow raising as she read. She moved to the front table and picked up one of the books there. The pile was still full; either not many students were taking this class, or not many had been to class yet.

She glanced at the professor who sat close to the table in front of her. He looked acceptable as a teacher; though she wasn't too picky. His scythe was what drew her eye though. She looked at it for a moment then glanced back at Professor Cadmus.

Tsetsiliya had been waiting for a course like this. A botany class! She had practically been waiting ages for something like this! It was the first one she had written down to sign up for, and she felt a fluttering excitement as she all but ran towards the classroom. Even so, she was rather surprised that the door had been locked upon arriving. Then again, she had been rather early. So she planted herself happily by the door and waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Had the class been cancelled? Tsetsiliya bit her lip anxiously. Perhaps it had, if she'd been waiting nearly two hours for the door to open and nothing so far. She'd not seen hide nor hair of any other students yet, but she was reluctant to leave. What if she left and the door suddenly opened? Oh, what to do, what to do?

As though sensing her apprehension, the door swung open, giving her a little bit of a start. She collected herself, taking a deep breath, then stepped around the door. Seated at the desk was the professor.. Professor Cadmus, the class registry had said. She glanced around the empty classroom, feeling a little nervous again, but she swallowed it. She wasn't going to let a room full of empty chairs intimidate her!

"H-Hello," Tsetsiliya said nervously to the teacher with a nod of the head and (what she hoped was) an enthusiastic smile. She picked up a book from the stack on the front table and took a seat near the front, sitting upright and ready to go.

Julian had intended to sign up for the botany class, he really did like plants, so he'd made time for the class in his schedule.
After the first fifteen minutes, he'd sat down in the wall across the hall from the locked door.
He was asleep thirty minutes later.

It wasn't until someone walking past that he woke back up, blinking at the now open door. He scrambled to his feet, hoping he hadn't slept through the class and peeked inside. Professor at his desk and two ghouls in the classroom. It didn't look like he had missed anything and he moved over to where the books were on the table and picked one up. Lots of books were still there, so he guessed he hadn't missed class, thankfully.

He sort of dipped his head in greetings to the professor and wandered over to one of the seats a ways from the front. He took the quiet and opportunity to crack open the book and glance through it.

Cadmus idly stopped tracing the vies of his scythe, Students had begun to filter in. To count he had two demons and one reaper in his class at the current time. His green eyes glittered with excitement, his class was already going good. "Welcome to Botany." He smiled warmly, he noticed the young reapers attention to his scythe. The others hadn't payed much mind to his scythe. The nervous girl was a demon who seemed nice enough for being a demon, and then there was the little bird boy who was a demon, already peeking through the pages of his book.

"I'm glad you all have made your way to my class, I'm sure you've all glanced over the rules, however we shall go over and cover a few more things. I don't care if your late to class or if you don't show up at all, However to get to my next class after this one it would be a wise decision to make it to most of my classes. All Homework must be done, there will be mysterious consequences if you fail to turn it in."

Cadmus stood from his chair motioning to the whole classroom.

"The Classroom is open so if you'd like to invite a friend along to the next class though they haven't enrolled in the class they can sit in. Also you may sit wherever you like to include you may move periodically just cause."

He smiled once more and rubbed his hands together his scythe oddly standing upright on it's own.

"Have we any questions while we wait for the other class members before our introductions?"

Riley had been efficiently punctual for her first class. Unfortunately, the class itself had failed to be as punctual as her. She arrived at the door, and touched the handle, just as the clock struck the proper hour for the class to begin, but she found herself locked out. How inconvenient.

Fully aware that she was not late, she assumed the teacher had simply not arrived. A few steps back, and she stilled, just slightly to the left of the door. There she stood, silent and unmoving, for the full hour and a half wait. Whether or not this wait disturbed her, or tired her, was a mystery; she showed no signs of wearing down.

A few other students seemed to be waiting for the same class, but even their fidgetting and eventual falling asleep in some cases did not deter Riley from standing at attention, eyes locked on the door, as if willing it to open.

When it did click open, she moved into the classroom with an ease and grace that belied the fact that she had been standing, still as a statue, for an hour and a half. Nothing phased her.

Botany was a class she was actually vaguely interested in. There was much to be learned from the plantlife, and it certainly was the kind of knowledge she'd been expected to gleen from this academy. The Elder Brain would be pleased at her findings, she was sure of it.

A gentle glide had her standing at the front of the class, looking directly at the teacher. She said nothing. Then again, that tends to happen when one doesn't have a mouth. A moment of staring, perhaps a bit too long, passed by, before she plucked a book from it's resting place, and swiveled to take a seat.

Oh, how she hoped a cute boy would sit next to her Just kidding, she couldn't give a s**t.

At first Sin had no problems getting to class on time, even early most of the time. Lately though with fearleading practice, her pumpkin child, and getting dressed she found herself always making it to class just in the jack-second of time. Still she never LOOKED very hurried or flustered instead she waltz gracefully into class and took her seat. She draped herself over her desk like a cat stretching itself on a window-sill. Slowly she focused on the professor trying to decide how hard or lenient he was going to be. She was trying to take all her classes seriously but truthfully she had more fondness for some then others.

She glanced over and smiled at Julian giving him a tiny wave that was more a minor wiggle of her fingers in his general direction. Then she focused her attention back on the professor. He sounded pretty serious and she tried not to groan at the thought of more homework. She was busily juggling her social and academic life and homework really strained her efforts.

Like all his other classes, Botany was one that had come as 'highly suggested' by his relatives. One had gone so far as telling him if he didn't take he might as well be a squash brained maggot head. While Israfel thought the words harsh he got the message. Take yet another class. No doubt it would be just as relaxed as the others. Take a few notes, try not to get killed or worse. Last think Israfel wanted was to become a undead siren. Nothing wrong with being undead but, he'd rather like to stay 'alive' as long as possible. More people were lured by living bodies to dead ones. Even if some humans had...rather gross practices. (He thanked his great- grandmother for THAT history lesson and lore!)

His head twitched. Grosssssss. Looking around the classroom, Israfel felt a bit more comfortable with plants then...shadows, (or Hellma. He'd not forget the antics in that class anytime soon!). Taking note of the board, the small siren picked up on of the books before finding a seat off to the side. "Sir." He sounded a tad confused. "Uh, can we won't be forced to eat and plants will we?" Plants didn't always agree with him, being mostly a carnivore and all.

Tahki stuck her head in the class room. The room seemed to be still pretty empty with plenty of open desks. Scanning the classroom Tahki noticed a few faces she knew. Amongst the sea of students though there was one that the gryphon knew quite well. Julian.

The gryphon headed over toward his way only to stop and stare at another familiar face. Riley. The gryphon gave Riley a wave.

"H-hey you're in this class to? That something huh?" She smiled. "Hopefully there won't be anything that eats students." Tahki took a seat next to Riley and turned her head to the owl demon offering a smile. Normally she'd go sit next to Julian but Riley was new as far as Tahki could tell , though nervous with the ghoul, she really liked Riley.

West had been by Cadmus' classroom. West had been by his classroom three candlejackin' times today, but oh no, someone was too important to be punctual. He hadn't planned on giving the reaper a fourth chance, teacher or not, but this was West's first class at Amityville, and a tiny, tiny part of him deep down inside might have wanted to do well, just so he could show his parents he could.

He rounded the corner, fully expecting the door to still be shut, and skidded to a halt when he found that was not the case. Oh. Okay then. West inhaled sharply and strode into the room. He managed to keep his fists and jaw from clenching, but his brow remained furrowed and his gaze bored into the stack of books at the front of the room. The demon hurried past the table, scooped up a book, and took a seat in the back. Most other times, the clomp-clomp-clomp of West's boots would have disrupted the calmness of his surroundings, but for some reason those boots had been replaced by a riotously bright pair of aqua moccasins.

Instead of reading the blackboard or paying much attention to what Professor Cadmus was saying, West pulled a marker from his pocket and began doodling on his arm. Under the desk, his slipper-muffled right foot tapped incessantly.

Malodore slid quietly into its seat, folding its hands neatly. This was another course it had been looking forward to - botany and herbology were close cousins to medicine, which the plague doctor approved of.

It glanced quietly at the other students, but other than Sin it didn't see anyone it knew by name just yet, though it recognized a few from previous courses. Hmm.
