Priskills How much did that cost, just curious. Four hundred, because it took four hours. And because my artist insists on every piece she does looking as awesome as possible I get a free follow up appointment where she re-saturates the color (since the skin doesn't soak up as much as it can the first time round because it's traumatized.) plus free touch ups. A good deal, methinks.

Priskills HOLY CRAP WHAT Edit: Actually I guess $400 kinda makes sense. Hah, yeah, it's kind of a shocking figure at first glance, but then you start thinking about it and it's like, "Yeah, I can see that." Fortunately this was a gift from my dad, otherwise that would be like, all my money.

That is ******** awesome.
I didn't have too much trouble with the skin not soaking up much ink on my tattoo. There's just one line of the right-hand star that needs to be touched up. biggrin

Just curious... how bad did that hurt? I'm getting one in November.
And tbh, I'm scared shitless.

The Zombies Are Marching Just curious... how bad did that hurt? I'm getting one in November. And tbh, I'm scared shitless. It hurt like a goddamn mofo, but it's a passing pain. I'd do it again tomorrow. My artist was all, "Most people think the shading hurts less!" LIES. DIRTY FILTHY LIES. Outline = practically painless. Sometimes she was shading it didn't hurt too bad, but other times it was like, "WHAT THE ******** YOU c**t" because she was going over sections.

It helps to concentrate on anything but the tattoo and the artist. Mine is way smaller than BSRs but it didn't hurt too much. I just focused on something else.

Strangely the thing that worked the best for me was humming Good King Wenceslas over and over. Also at one point we were watching Heroes because the dude next to me was getting the apocalyptic New York that the psychic artist dude painted.
