Stafford Oubliette
Located beneath the mysterious South Tower, this is the only place that students can enter in this tower. It is used specifically for students of the Dark Arts to practice. This place is not for the light hearted, it is a small room that would make anyone claustrophobic. The ceilings are low and the heavy door that is the only entrance is broken, hanging on its hinges just waiting for them to give way. The bricks are stained with blood where it is rumored that horrible things have happened here. Sometimes you will find a student huddled outside the door, having spotted the ghost of one of the many who have rumored to have died here or starvation, exhaustion and torture. One of the most infamous is Henry Stafford, Second Duke of Buckingham who was beheaded for plotting with the House of Lancaster against King Richard III in the mid 1400's. The unsettling, dark and uncomfortable atmosphere make this place perfect for practicing Dark spells.
