There is nowhere better, obviously, to spend a hot, humid summer afternoon than by a lake, under a tree. And she has just the spot in mind. She likes to think it's her special place; after all, this is a small lake that she's never seen anyone else at before. Everyone else flocks to the main watering hole, and if there's anything that rubs Evening Star's fur the wrong way, it's a crowd.
She shudders at the thought, then continues on her way, swishing her tail as she walks.
It is not a long way to her lake, though it is rather a tedious journey. She likes to think, however, that it is worth it; after all, the exercise keeps her in shape! Across rocks, and patches of sawgrass, then a trail through the forest. And if you knew the right turns to take, you'd be there.
Mmm. The feeling of anticipation is growing stronger in her heart. She can already imagine it: today will be such a relaxing, peaceful day.
