It had been a time since he'd last been out, on his last outing he'd met up with a cute little kid named Vance. As such he only had good thoughts as he left home with his big, black kitty called Gigan who was his stand in bodyguard with neither Anon or Gera were around. He was smiling to himself as he lowered himself down to let the cat jump up onto his shoulder to drape across them like a fluffy scarf before he was heading out of the house, his messenger back that contained all of his items in hand.

"I wonder where we should go today." He said with a smile, giving Gigan a scratch under his chin before he headed out in an arbitrary direction. He didn't know where they would end up today but if it was interesting they would put it on the map, if it were scary they would run away to safety... and then put it on the map along with a warning not to head in that direction ever, ever again!

Deimos's eyes went rather wide as suddenly something was diving in front of him. Something with a whole lot of sharp teeth, claws, and scales, it was... saying something but he didn't quite understand. In fact all that seemed to register in his mind was what the creature before him was. He knew it! He knew that one day he was going to be attacked by a raptor but nobody believed him! They all told him that raptors were extinct and that it was one of his many fears that he shouldn't have to worry over.

There was a sound much like a whimper that escaped from the teen as his knees gave out and he collapsed down onto them in front of Arlen, his entire body shaking from head to toe, "D-Don't... you d-don't want t-to eat me... I wouldn't t-taste good..." He said, hands lifting up so he could hide his face against them as though he didn't want to see it coming when the raptor decided that it was going to start to chew on him.

As he shivered, whimpered, and looked as though he were somewhere between crying and fainting the massive, one-eyed, bodyguard cat hopped off his shoulder to land between Deimos and Arlen. Gigan puffed up, unsheathed his claws, and hissed at the scaly boy in a manner that was a warning that he was treading on dangerous ground! As though the kitty could do something about it...

The Raptor could talk!? Oh Gods, they were that smart?! He gave a sniffling sound, one hand scrubbing at his eyes as he didn't want to let his tears escape his control though it was difficult to do when one was running into a fear that they had had for a long while. Why... why had he watched that horrible movie about the dinosaurs eating people on that island?! It only made it so much worse now that he actually ran into a raptor in the wild, "T-The... the r-raptors in the movie ate l-lots of people." He said in a rather terrified tone of voice.

He looked up at him as he explained what foods he would prefer to eat. Deer and fish? He couldn't say much about fish or what he thought of them but the idea that he ate deer was rather scary given Deimos had met Tyyne not that long ago and his first thought was of her. He would be careful not to mention the deer girl as he would hate to see her eaten, "W-We aren't f-fish or d-deer so we won't taste good at all. I-I promise." He said, reaching out to catch hold of Gigan and pulled the cat to him as though he were afraid the raptor would change its mind and eat his poor kitty.

He wasn't sure why he wasn't disappearing as he normally did, he was pretty sure that he was scared to the point that he couldn't even disappear which was a very bad thing. Where was Gera when he needed him?

Deimos seemed to think that one over. He supposed that was true.. how often did his parents tell him that he shouldn't believe everything that he saw on the television? Quite often really since most everything on their was fictional... and the stuff that was nonfiction was even scarier. It was why he wasn't allowed to watch the news or the animal channel anymore...

He gave a sniffle and rubbed his his eyes, "I... g-good. I am glad that we aren't your t-type of food." He said, his stuttering starting to ease a bit as his fears started to slowly ease as well. Now that he looked at him the guy was right, he was a lot different looking then the raptors in the movie wasn't he? He was rather pretty colored if nothing else, was blue and purple both colors he liked. The guy couldn't be all bad if he were such pretty colors, right?

"I... I'm... D-Deimos." He said, finding it a little odd that he was introducing himself to a raptor but since the raptor was acting nice he had to try to be nice.

The situation seemed to be calming down which had Gigan calming down a bit himself, his good eye was still watching the raptor closely but his claws were no longer out and he no longer seemed to be glaring which was a good sign.

Deimos starred at the rather intimidating looking hand that was offered to him and it took everything in him, every drop of his rather limited courage and willpower to reach up and take his hand despite the claws. His entire form was shaking as he was pulled back to his feet and he glanced down at the cat who was hanging from one arm and then to the raptor in front of him, "A-Arlen." He murmured, "Its nice to meet you too." At least it was nice to meet him now that he was reassured that he wasn't like the raptors in the movie and that he didn't want to eat them.

He flushed a bit though it was hard to tell given his skin tone and then he glanced away, down at his feet before looking up again, "Ahh... t-thank you." He murmured, it was nice to get a compliment like that from time to time, though it was a shame the compliment was about his hair, "I-Its just dye... I mean... it used to look a lot d-different... it was... um... it was pink." He sounded quite embarrassed over that, he had changed it, dyed it and cut it because he'd been told that he was girly because of it... and then there was Evari who didn't want to believe he was a guy... So embarrassing really and a blow to what manly pride he had.

"Thank you." He murmured again, so he thought that this color was something that made him wonder which color was better. Some already thought it was the blue, some thought it was the pink that it used to be. He wasn't sure what he liked best really, he was sure he would figure it out eventually though, hopefully before it came time to dye it again.

"I wasn't headed anywhere in particular, Gigan and I wander around from place to place so that we can fill out my notebook and map." He explained, he was very careful when it came to where he went and how he got there, not wanting to risk running into anything dangerous like he had when he ran into that horrible dragon man when he was out on one of his walks. He gave a shiver all over before shoving that thought aside, not even wanting to think about that person, "So where were you off to, Arlen?" He found himself for a moment kind of... curious. What was it that raptors did with their time?

Deimos tilted his head to one side and seemed to grow very thoughtful, "Dark purple? I will keep it in mind, thank you for the suggestion." It felt so odd to be carrying on a friendly conversation with a raptor of all things but he was in fact nice if you got passed all the sharp bits. It was the same as with Gera really.

He blinked a couple times when he mentioned siblings, "That's neat, I have one younger brother myself." He said with a smile, sounding quite proud of his little brother even if they didn't hang out nearly as much as he would like, "Cute and fluffy, huh? That sounds really nice." He found himself thinking on what they might look like and with all things cute and fluffy he wished they were around so that he could hug them. What a nice thought, getting hugs from something soft and fluffy!

"Your looking for a candy store, huh? I am not sure if I have been to one of those but I know of a really nice cake store." He said, giving a helpful smile, "If your looking for candy though if I could go with you? That way I can put it on my map."

Deimos smiled, "It sounds like your sibling much love you very much, copying you like that." He said with a smile. He helped Gigan up to lounge around his shoulders once more like a furry black scarf before he dug into his messenger back to find his notebook. He flipped through it for a moment before he got the address for the place and showed it to Arlen, "This is where the cake shop is, if we can't find a nice candy shop for you then you can try this place."

He gave a smiled, "I've gone here a few times to get cupcakes for myself and for friends, its a really nice place so even if you don't go today I suggest you try it sometime. The cupcakes come in all colors and have lots of decorations to pick from as well." He said, seeming to have a lot fun describing the sweets. He'd gone there before on his own and on a couple occasions with Gera as well. It was always more fun when you went out to do things with friends, less intimidating as well since that gave Deimos one more person to protect him from his various fears.
