Suk still wasn't used to this new place... it was strange and he wasn't sure if he liked it here... but Laughingstar made it worth it.
He was finding her more and more lovely... more and more beautiful she was. She was also so strong and so quick to find things. She amazed him. He had gone out hunting, to get her something to eat but found it hard to hunt with so much commotion around... he sneered, spotting something he could easily bring back to her... without much problem. He grabbed up a bunch of flowers, carrying them gently in his mouth as he padded back to their den.
Laughingstar had spent a much longer time in the pack, so she was used to the environment and loved it. She still snuck out to sunbathe every now and again, but as far as the pack rules went, she didn't mind following them. And she was more than happy in helping Suk get used to them as well.
At the moment, she was laying in the den they shared, napping and waiting for Suk to return with a snack. She had playfully complained of hunger minutes ago, but he had gone to get her something anyway. She smiled at the thought; he was incredibly sweet when he wasn't so gruff.
He padded through the bushes that hid their little home, pressing his shoulders against the boughs. He spotted her lounging. He felt a bit of dissapointment that he hadn't found her anything to eat but perhaps the smelly flowers would make it okay. He cleared his throat as he approached, lowering his muzzle so she could easily smell them.
"You're back? That was fast." When he cleared his throat, Laughingstar rolled to a sitting position to welcome him back. Sure enough, the pretty scent of the flowers wafted to her nose the closer that Suk approached. "Mm, those smell nice," she smiled, tilting her head in his direction. See? This was another thing that he did which was sweet and totally unexpected for his character.

He snorted before setting the fragrant flowers down at her side. He tossed his ears for a moment, gazing around to see if there was anyone else present. He sat down beside her, gazing at her quietly for a while before speaking. "Someones pups are being too loud... all the prey are too aware." He said, his tail flumping in annoyance.
"Their parents should know better than to let pups run rapant and loud..." He added, his ears lowering as he pawed the flowers closer to her, so they touched her toes softly. "So I brought you these flowers instead... until the prey come back..."

She held back a giggle at his excuse for not returning with something more...edible. But she nodded, accepting his reason and snuffling her nose through the bouquet he dropped next to her. They did smell very lovely. He knew how to find the best ones for her, the ones that would still keep smelling fresh even though days pass since they were picked. She guessed that these would last until at least three days from now.
"So you would know better than to let your pups run rampant and loud?" she countered, smiling softly but blindly eying him from her position.

His face contorted a bit when she asked that question. He opened his mouth to reply, shut it and shook his head, then chuckled. "My pups would never be allowed such things." He said simply, shrugging his dark shoulders. He looked over at her. "Ah, don't act so smug there... what would you do if you had pups to take care of?"
He paused for a moment, knowing what he was asking but he should have phrased it better. "I mean to say... our pups..." He added softly.

"Oh, so I'm involved with the pups, now? Thank you, I'd like that." She smiled up at him sweetly and pushed her head forward to nuzzle the closest part of him she could reach. Laughingstar couldn't see his facial expressions, but she could guess at what he faces he was making.
"If I had pups to take care of, I'd let them have their fun," she teased. "But I would also try and instill in them that in order to have fun, they have to remember some rules. Otherwise, no more fun, ever. I'd be a strict Mommy," she laughed.

Suk chuckled, though the semi sour look on his face was still there. He sidled up closer too her, leaning against her. "I think we should try for pups some day. I think... you would be a good mother. " he said, shutting his eyes and thinking for a moment. "Though I don't know how good of a father I would be.... My own father was...." He just didn't bother to continue.
"A strict mother eh?" He pressed against her playfully, nipping at her ears and wagging his tail, an unusual thing really. "You would be a wonderful mother, I can see you raising your voice to those youngsters with no problem."

Laughingstar giggled again and buried her nose in his fur once he got close enough to her. "I would very much like to have pups one day, with you," she murmured in reply. "And you can be your own kind of father. Which I know will be just as good as my being a mother."
She yipped and shook her head. Wagging her tail as well, the wild dog nipped back at his shoulder fur. "Of course I'll raise my voice; they have to learn their manners! How else if I don't yell at them." She laughed again.

Suk was feeling a tad playful now ,and pushed her over so he could sit on her with a chuckle, leaning over her and putting his paws over her shoulders, puffing in her ear. "What a good mother, to discipline our children..." He said softly, leaning his cheek against hers, his tail wagging.
"I'll let you yell at them and I will sit and watch them be sad as their mother reprimands them. I can see it now... our naughty naughty pups getting yelled at. " He blew in her ear again.

She yelped in surprise as she suddenly found herself in a different position, with a much heavier wild dog sitting on top of her. This was different than what she usually expected with him, but she liked how playful he was now. Her tail wagged harder.
"No, you'll watch them and then after I yell at them, you can console them and say 'Mommy's not mean, she just loves you.' And that will confuse them even more." Her ears flicked away from the air he puffed into them.
Although, in reality, she wasn't sure how playful Suk would be with the pups, so it might end up being just the opposite. Although she knew he would never yell at the pups the way she was joking about.

Laughed as she yelped. "And then I will take their little ears on my mouth like this-" he took her ear in his muzzle and tugged lightly. "-and say "Your mother just loves you so much and I just love to nibble on ears." He said.
He leaned down and huffed in her ear one more time before getting up off from her and waited for her to sit up so he could lean against her for a bit. He wasn't sure why he was feeling so playful at this moment.

Laughingstar burst into laughter again, giggling all over herself at her mate's antics. She highly doubted that he would ever do such a thing, really, to their pups. But it was very entertaining to picture nonetheless.
"Of course, beloved. That's how we'll raise them, and they'll grow up to be the best wild dogs in the whole world."
Once he got up and off her, she was free to push herself back into a sitting position. She could feel his leg close to hers, so she knew where he was again. Sitting, now, she leaned against him with a little, soft sigh.

Suk smiled and then shook his head sternly, whipping the smile off his face and clearing his throat. "Such silliness you have brought upon me Laughingstar..." He said, his ears flattening at his complete change of personality. "You make me back into a puppy again... I hope no one was watching." He gazed left and right to assure himself.
He then looked back down at her. "but yes... we will be the best... "
