Part One; The Deep Woods
Crickets and swamp peepers fill the sound of the night. With the festival of lights in full swing, it is a little bit safer to venture past your territory's boundaries and into the thick of the forest. As an adahy (or di'taki, even), this part of the forest is not known to you. The trees grow thick and gnarled, twisting up to the sky like ancient fingers. Here and there calls of some wild creature can be heard from the distance. For once a quiet sense of peace befalls the Deep Woods; some, but not all of the di'taki have laid down their hostile attitudes in honor of the glow festival.
This is where you and I come in. You, young one, are trespassing on my and my mate's territory. She's begged me to spare your life, and if not for her words perhaps you would be running right now.
However...
What possessed you to come into my haven? Certainly you don't think that this festival of lights makes you immune to all harm, now, do you? That would be foolish of you, wouldn't it? Mommy and daddy aren't here to save you now, so you'd best ought to explain yourself.
Uh-oh, it looks like you've stumbled a bit off the beaten path and straight into Iban and Menetae's territory. Menetae is an adahy, and she's prone to random acts of kindness, but her mate isn't as forgiving! If you want to see the rest of the Glow Festival you have to do some quick thinking. Tell Iban why you're here.
The Game
*- A miniature RP contest. There will be four of these. Each week has a prize. Prizes include glowbug familiars, adahy, and di'taki.
Rules!
*- One response per person.
*- No, you cannot kill Iban or his mate, sorry. If you explain yourself well enough he'll just let you go.
*- This is an ongoing game! (Though if you miss one, you can still play in the next!) Each round lasts for a week to give everyone enough time to respond. Your reply can be a couple sentences, or it could be two pages!
*- Iban responds to everyone. Whatever you say, you'll know what his response is as the end of the week. :D No, he's not going to kill off your pet, don't worry. Whatever happens here may influence your next round, or maybe not!
*- This is not a CYOA. You can't be "eliminated". The response that Iban feels is the most adequate will be the one that takes the prize that round.
If you don't own an adahy or di'taki of your own, feel free to respond using a made up one! This event is open to owners and non-owners alike. When responding, try not to use Iban or Menetae, though a small action thrown in is okay.
Results will be announced Monday, August 9th.
