Dude, I came back yesterday after a long leave of absense to find the guild(the ONLY reason I ever log onto gaia) up in arms and attacking each other!
This guild has turned into a civil war zone!
WHY may I ask, WHY! D:
I thought we all had similar views, and the little bits we disagree on, we could discuss civilly and nicely, why is everyone fighting? crying
I remember when this guild was one where people posted links to cool things they found, such as DIY greenhouses, and the 99 evils of sugar...
We all got along, even if we disagreed on something.
Such as the omni/veg issue. We didn't create an all out war, we would note little tips and such on improve eating habits to be more ECOFRIENDLY, we weren't here to promote the vegan agenda to just promote it! I actually joined this guild as an omni and swapped to vegetarianism to help the planet!(veganism for other personal reasons, afterwards)
When you clicked the button saying JOIN GUILD, didn't you want to join to find out how to make the planet a better place?
We may not trust the sources you may find which is what inspires YOU to make the change, but if you link to it, and we deem the video from a group of crazies(such as peta) we used to be the sort of group whom would not get all up in arms and attack the poster! We'd simply note the video is not a good resource, and link to a much more reliable one.
So can we all just TRY to be nice to each other? We only have so long on an earth that has so long!
And by so long I mean not long at all! I'm SURE most of us have college, work, and other such stuff that we need to do, when we get home for tips on how to tend to our garden after a long day, we don't need to see people attacking us like jerks to promote their agenda!
We don't have TIME for these silly little arguments! By even participating in such things, you're ONLY wasting electricity and putting EVERYONE IN THE GUILD(Including yourself) in a sour mood! D:
Please please please can we try to get along? :3

...Are we at an all-out war? I've noticed that there are some squabbles, but I wouldn't call it a war.

I think some of the conversations that I have read have seemed a bit heated. Some people enjoy a healthy debate, so if that is how they want to spend their day more power to them. I enjoy debates sometimes myself. That being said, this guild has always and hopefully will always be my blissful little piece of online paradise where I can dream of the day we can solve some of the problems we discuss here once and for all. I especially love this guild because we can solve some problems today and this guild has the people with the desire to do it. Peace and love ftw!
Speaking of friends- it occurred to me that many of the members here are not yet on my friends list. Adds are always welcome, so feel free to send a request if you aren't on my list yet. biggrin
