Devin was rather confused, as anyone who had received a strange notification to come to a lab would be. There hadn't been much explanation behind it, and the man was still racking his young brain as to why he would be called to such an odd location. In all reality the letter was probably very descriptive, and it was the man's own fault for merely skimming it, but still!
Placing one foot into the door he eyed the surroundings, spotting a small desk and stepping towards it. "Okay, to be honest I have no idea what's going on, I just got some letter thing..." he admitted, flushing nervously as he gazed at the receptionist.

The "receptionist" was actually a young girl with rainbow-and-blonde hair that ended in cloud poofs, and tan skin. She grinned brightly up at the man, kicking her legs under the desk. "You're here to get a baby then! That's what the letters all say - you were picked to get a baby!" Jillian was quite proud to remember that - after all, it wasn't every day you got to come and pick out a baby!

Devin's eyes grew wide as he looked at the young lady, "W-wait... a baby? I didn't order a baby. I haven't filled out any papers that I can think of..." scratching his chin the man attempted to remember any shady sort of situation he might have ever been in to get him into this. Nope. No idea.
"Umm, are you sure there's not a mistake?" he wasn't upset or anything, that just wasn't the first thing you expected to hear from a person, 'you were picked to get a baby'. Strange. He'd figure out what was up soon enough though of course.

"Oh no, you weren't a volunteer. You were picked out specially by Miss Kayen." Jillian assured him, waving her hand because obviously this was totally normal and why were you questioning it dang you? This was GAIA!
"Do you know what kind you'd like or should I show you around?"
