... Thousands of years ago, when the world was young, war was waged between beings of a higher power. One of those beings was Amaterasu, the Goddess of the Sun. She was beautiful and graceful, but had a fiery temper. She had a pet bird, which she granted the power of fire. It aided her in battle. The Great Monkey Enma had always been kind to her, but believed that her having a bird to aide her wasn't fair to the other warriors. So while she was watching he took her bird in his hands and snapped its neck. He gave Amaterasu a friendly smile and left her.
Stricken by grief she had lost the will to fight. She took the feathers of her fallen comrade and used the power of the sun to burn and mold them into humans. These humans created a ninja clan in the name of her fallen fried. They called themselves the Pheonix Ninja Clan. They hate the Monkey clan with a burning rage, but the Monkey clan harbors no ill will towards the Pheonix clan.
In today's world the Pheonix Clan watches over the world from the peak of Mount Fuji.
