The Dreamer

Name: Roe Eleric Jameson
Age: 16
Gender: Male

Personality:
Roe is a sweet and generous boy. He has a good handle on how to get along with other people, even though he may not seem like it at times. He gets nervous easily, partly due to his condition, but a kind word and a pat on the back really go a long way to soothe him.
He likes being touched, and touching, since that was not something his parents liked to do when he was little. He was raised to be a bit of a snob, but somehow didn't really pick that up. In fact, he hates the separation between rich and poor, and does all he can to bridge the gap.

History:
[To be written]

Extras:
Roe is in a wheelchair. He cannot walk, and he is blind. However, his other senses make up for these hindrances, and he moves around well enough to trick people into thinking he has full use of his eyes.
He has a guide-dog, Kidd, that travels everywhere with him. Kidd's leash is usually attached to his wheelchair.

[Will pretty this up later...]

I Had A Dream Today...

It was a land most had only read about, and one very special young girl had visited, long ago. But now there was another visitor to the world of Wonderland - a small boy with the ears and tail of one of Wonderland's wisest residents. The Cheshire Cat.

On a winding path that seemed to go on forever, this cat-boy stopped amid the singing flowers, and chatted with them, trading insult for insult merrily, knowing that the flowers meant, as always, no harm. Yes, this was his home. And had been for as long as he could remember. Alice had been but a blink in Wonderland's history... It was HE that stood apart for the other visitors. Surely Alice had to realize that it was HE who put the bottle on the table, and the cake on the floor. It was HE who deterred the rabbit so Alice was able to catch up. And it was HE who told his beloved father, the illustrious Cheshire Cat, of Alice's predicament in the gardens. And again, it was HE who turned the Queen's head, by making a face at the precise moment Alice's testimony reached an end. Yet, in this world, there were no heroes. No bad guys. What was, was. Wonderland was simple.

And simple was just fine by him.

It seemed, in another world, another life, that he had been party to many hardships. He had been hurt.. sick. Very sick. Perhaps sick to the point of dying. But that was another world, and far away. Wonderland was where he belonged. Not in that other, bland, dreary world he scarcely remembered. Here, there were no nurses or needles, or pills or pain. Here, there was only the wonder of it all, and the vast colorful landscape stretching out as far as the eye could see.

The tulgey woods... with its myriad of wonderful creatures. Even the Jabberwock had a place in this odd world. The story of the Jabberwock was legend, sung in songs all across Wonderland. Sung most beautifully by his father, and taught to him. He whistled a few bars of the tune, and started to sing as he entered the woods.

"T'was brillig, and the slithy toves, did gyre and gimble in the wabe... All mimsy were the borogroves, and the mome-raths.. Out graaaaaabe!"

He giggled, and stepped over a stray mome-rath that was scurrying to make it back to the flock. "Hurry along, little mome-rath!" he called back to it.

Stopping suddenly, he peered ahead on the path, trying to see who was approaching... Oh! His very best friends! The March Hare, and the Mad Hatter. Both stark raving lunatics, but then again... They were ALL mad here. At the moment, the two were arguing heatedly about what seemed to be the Hatter's favorite riddle.

"A raven is like a writing desk, because of their beaks! They both speak. Speak!" the Hatter said, gesticulating with a spoon in his left hand, and a cup of tea in his right.

The Hare scoffed, and crossed his arms, holding a teapot with his long right ear.
"I SAY, old friend, it is because of the inky quills. One cannot have a raven without gloriously inky quills! And yet you insist a writing desk is perfectly fine without a quill!"

Both of them took a time out from the argument to take a sip of tea, the Hatter passing the Hare his own teacup for that purpose. After that, they both stopped, staring fixedly at the boy.

"Ahh! The Cheshire's son! Care for a spot of tea?"

The boy laughed, and twitched one ear a bit, shaking his head. "No, no. Tea time is long since past - Enjoy your tea without me."

They guffawed at this, as though the boy had made some ridiculous joke. Par for the course, as it were. Smiling, the boy passed them by with a wave of his purple-pink striped tail, and disappeared into the other side of the forest, on his way to chat with the caterpillar.
