Profile

Name: Hannah Moss
Nicknames: None that she is aware of.
Approximate Age: 30
Date of Birth: Jan.20th

Occupation: Blacksuit

Personality:
Hannah is a very introverted woman, which tends to make her a good worker on the clock but awkward company. Luckily (or not so much), Hannah doesn’t have much time for anything but her job, which can span between anything as small as filing reports or something as large as investigating a murder. She’s well organized and astute, moving through her tasks quickly and systematically as if she’s hoping for something more engaging to come along. She is in constant craving for some sort of mental stimulation, be it in solving a puzzle or (in the case of desperation) multi-tasking. Often enough she is thinking about so many different things at once that she may come off as brooding or manical to her co-workers.

Many people look at Hannah and tend to think she’s up to something or else mocking them when she looks at them. It’s her face, really. She’s actually very patient when dealing with others, often taking things in silence to process them. To her credit, the detective will think a point over before she informs anyone that they’re an idiot, a bluntness which she has unfortunately adopted from being in the force for so long. The only thing that really makes her vicious would be a reckless idiot, someone who would endanger others with their stupidity. She doesn’t like ever losing an argument or feeling like her intelligence has been impuned, but she’s willing to accept a loss gracefully before she goes and privately questions herself. A lot of Hannah’s thinking goes out the window when she’s under physical pressure- thinking on her toes goes to instinct, and hers isn’t exactly the best.

Socially, very few people bother with Hannah, and Hannah almost never initiates any personal contacts. People just starting to try and be friends with her should expect to feel as if she doesn’t care about them, as she often forgets appointments if something at work needs extra time. However, she does try to keep in contact with her close friends and is a loyal shoulder to cry on. She can seem awkward or terse to people dealing with her at work or just meeting her, but once she has gotten comfortable with a person it’s apparent that she can be quite insightful and has a good sense of humor. It’s just really hard to get her out of her work setting, is all.

Likes: Peace and quiet, puzzles, insightful books, old mystery movies and thrillers (and the ocassional sci-fi flick), trash novels (guilty pleasure), all five of her cats, kickboxing.
Dislikes: Messy crime scenes (although it happens a lot), feeling incorrect, and a whole menagerie of pet peeves, but nothing really pressing.

Appearance:
Hair: Light blonde, something people might refer to as ‘candy floss’, and long. She tends to keep it slicked back from her forehead in a ponytail when working, and lets it down when she’s not.
Eyes: Narrow, gray
Face: Sharp and a little drawn, her face is reminicent to that of a weasel. No marks on it, though.
Body type: She’s pale and skinny, about as flat as a rail. Detective Moss doesn’t look like much of anything in any respect, but she’s seen a few fights in her time.

Fashion sense: Aside from her suit, she tends to have a rather boring (practical) fashion sense. Single-colored sweaters, tank tops in the summer that do nothing for her, etc. She doesn’t really have time for any of that s**t, alright? And even if she did, fashion is not her top priority.
Accessories: Not really.

Backstory:
Detective Moss has no sordid past and no real outstanding achievements to speak of outside of her academics. She grew up the eldest of two daughters and went through school with exceptional marks. Her contact among her peers was minimal due to the fact she was a socially awkward child that spent most of her time trying to be the first of her family that actually went to college. She had a few boyfriends, mostly consisting of the boys that sat around with her in study hall drawing worlds on graph paper that they could rule with an iron fist. She had a few adventures, all of which she remembers fondly, but most of her childhood was pretty tame.

Becoming a Blacksuit offered her only two things- knowledge and a challenge. Her main drive was not to preserve the safety of the people of Central, but to grow more in mental aspect and to have that aspect entertained. After all, everyone seemed to have their niche in life, and she never felt as if she could settle into something as menial as being a psychiatrist (which was her second choice). It seemed that common sense was in short supply at the agency when she enterred the academy. Most of the students had gotten in by their physical prowess and lack of mental will outside of what they were told to do. Hannah made short work of her more academic tests and scored average in the field, so she was assigned to an office job looking at cold cases and organizing the flow of information. She filed those cold cases and even solved one, which put her in line to become a real detective. After a few years of work, she’s one of the leading Blacksuit investigators, though her job tends to average in missing person cases until the head detective gets so busy that homocide cases trickle down.
