Think about how much the sword is similiar to the cross in shape, Christ died on the cross. Maybe i'm just putting too much thought into this, but what if there is more significance to the cross then Jesus's death?

The sword is Gods word, as the Bible says. But I see your point and its kinda of cool and not heretical, it can be accepted and taught in Sunday Schools if it ties in with the lesson. Though this makes it more important to 'reclaim' it from the people who seem to only use it as a fashion statement. 3nodding
