SUCCESS!
Liam's Apricorns were finally reaching perfection... no pun intended. That is to say, the Apricorns he had planted not long after joining Team Rocket had not only flowered, but grown into full-sized (and hard as rocks) fruits, showing a rainbow of colors, each with their own 'magical' property that would help him... and his Team Rocket brethren, catch all the Pokemon he (and they) could want. His constant watering and babying of the plants resulted in the very best Apricorns he had grown to date! And, from what he could tell, no Pokemon had found their way into his precious gar- DAMMIT! What was that Pidgeot doing there? And was it eying his Apricorns!? Were it a human, he'd shy away, but no way a Pokemon was going to- His attention shifted yet again. The Pidgeot wasn't alone. In fact, it was as not alone as he knew a Pidgeot could be. He wasn't sure he recognized the Grunt, but she was vaguely familiar. Maybe he had walked by her in the hall? Or was it... The infirmary? Either way, she was also eying his Apricorns (no pun intended... that he knew of...), so he figured he might as well try to enlighten someone in the ways of the almighty Apricorn today. "Uh, um... h-hello, ma'am. May I help you?"

"GGGGGGGEEEEEOOOOOO!"
A cry of pure joy rang true from the pokemons' throat as he sailed around the area on the warm thermals, letting them carry the bird pokemon higher and farther from where their trainer was watching below. Eventually though, loyalty towards the female cut through the rapture and he backwinged sharply towards the human; a splash of color, along with a sweet taste of flowers on the wind, was one of the few things to distract the Pidgeot.
As he flew lower to see (just low enough so a light breeze flew through the garden as he sailed past), Yamir caught sight of the "look" from the human and squawked lightly. A swift course change and he was landing beside Jen as the grunt from the garden was coming over.
The apricorns had, indeed, caught Jen's attention when she, Yamir, and Aeon had ventured outside for a spot of fresh air. After all, she had not seen the likes of the hard fruit since she was last in the Jotho region and had used them rarely since. Now, seeing a guy walk over to her from the garden, she could guess whoever he was...well...
Maybe that story of Team Rocket using apricorns wasnt so far fetched.
"Hey Dude." Aeon slid off Yamir's back with a dizzy "Ppppikkkaaa...." and onto the ground with a small thump. He hated heights... "Um....Well...I dont think so. We just came out here for some exercise." Jen grinned at the studdering. "And dont act like Im gunna bite yer head off. Thats Seth's job. Not mine."

He couldn't help but arch an eyebrow at the word 'dude' being thrown in his direction, but he (of course) didn't say anything against it. "O-oh, I'm sorry, ma'am. W-won't happen a-" except he realized he was doing it at that very moment and stopped. It wasn't as if he could tell her to leave, since this whole Apricorn-growing operation wasn't exactly... above ground, so to speak, but at the same time if that Pidgeot of her messed up his months of hard work... "Feel free to, uh... you know train all you like... m-ma'am. Just try not to, uh, well, I mean... pleasedon'thurttheApricorns?"

It took a moment for her brain to translate that mashed-up jumble of sentence and words but once she did, Jen snickered into the palm of her hand as Yamir glanced at her with curious violet eyes.
"Look, guy." Jen glanced back at the other grunt after her brief bit of laughter. "I assure you, Yamir had no intention of hurting your plants." The happy sound came from the giant pokemons' throat as his trainer scratched the feathers of his crest. He practically melted into the petting hand, becoming a giant puddle of Pidgeot-goo. "He likes bright colors, seeing how he's not the most colorful creature in the world. However, he wouldn't land on your garden nor take anything, I promise."
She snickered again. "By the way, um...." Jen raised an eyebrow at the grunt. "What are you working on with those apricorns?" She cast a side-glance at a flash of teal among the green and other colors. "If memory serves me, teal isnt a normal 'corn color. You into genetics?"

"Oh, well... ok then, I guess? I mean, if you're... s-sure. " he smiled, a nervous thing that conveyed more uneasiness than actual cheerfulness, but it was his possibly the best he could do in such a situation. He crept a hand towards the large bird and allowed himself to stroke a single feather. While he normally loved all Pokemon, he had recently learned that not all Pidgeot were exactly... as nice as he had hoped. "G-geneti- Oh, you mean hybrids! Yes, yes!" he responded emphatically, "Cross-breeding has produced some amazing results. The teal ones are especially good at catching... well, I don't know. I haven't actually processed any yet..."

While Yamir looked similar to a certain other, dark-colored Pidgeot wandering around HQ, he was more then willing to show he wasnt adverse to attention and being friendly towards others. When the other human had started petting his wing, he had turned his attention away from his own human to stare at the other with pale violet eyes. With some swiftness to keep the male from backing off, the pokemon gently grabbed Liam's finger in his beak before nibbling on it with clear affection.
Jen watched this with a warm smile. Always use a pokemon to break the ice; the thought lingered before she turned her attention back to the other grunt with a raised eyebrow. "Really?" She snerked. "Well, i'll take your word for it. Im in demolitions so genetics is pretty much a different language to me." Jen motioned towards the garden again, particuarly towards the teal ones. "Perhaps you can give me a prototype when you do? I'd like to try them out."
It was at this point that Aeon had gotten over his air-sickness. With a quick headshake, he jumped onto Jen's shoulder to stare at the other grunt.
"By the way, I dont think we exchanged names." Jen smirked. "Im Jen, by the way. Who might ya be?"

He had forgotten to introduce himself to a superior! He hoped none of the higher-ups caught word of this almost fatal mistake! "L-Liam, ma'am. Trainee!" he said with a short salute. He could all but hear his boots clacking together as he briefly assumed the rigid pose he had forced himself to become accustomed to when addressing a superior. "A-and as for obtaining a Pokeball, I imagine one would have to fill out a requisition form, or something of the sort..." he added as he continued to pet the Pidgeot. When it had begun nibbling his finger he had the worst mental image of a certain dark feathered Pokemon nipping at him, only this one would remove the finger, leaving Liam with nothing more than a red stump, gushing blood as the Pidgeot watched on, laughing its shrilly Pidgeot lau- Oh well, enough of that! This one was nice enough, so he continued to pet it, smiling. At least he knew he was somewhat more safe out here.

Again with the shaking voice!
"Liam, stop that." Jen frowned at him as Yamir continued to enjoy the petting he was recieving. Judging from the blissful look on his face, the male human was free to stop petting him in about a year or so. But he could take longer if he wanted. "Im not gunna rip yer head off just because you didnt introduce yerself without me asking."
Her frown then turned into a small smile as Aeon slid his way into her lap. He was still a bit green around the gills.
"But there is something I wanna ask ya for help with, if ya be willing?" She started scratching her poor Pikachu on the head as he slumped and looked as pitiful as possible. "And I dont think Yamir would have any complaints about ya helping, seeing as how you earned a spot on his favorite persons list."

An insect mere centimeters away from Liam's mouth may have heard the tiny 'eep' that escaped those same lips as he was 'reprimanded' by a superior. He was so dead. Yet... she didn't look angry, maybe annoyed. Maybe there was a better word for it, but his mind saw her spewing flames while passing down a piece of paper with his name on it, stamped over by a large red 'TERMINATED.' Yet here she was. Nice as ever. What was he so afraid of? But she had a favor to ask of him. And by favor she obviously meant 'do this or I'll tell my superiors about your unholy mistake.' Needless to say, he nodded his head vigorously. "Yes ma'am! A-anything ma'am!" Besides, she had said Yamir liked him. He really didn't need any more reason than that.

Jen frowned at the "ma'am" title and reached out to flick Liam on the forehead with a forefinger. "Enough with the "ma'am"s and whatnot. I am a grunt, barely a step up from a trainee like yerself. So stop being so damn formal and nervous." She huffed and gave him a "look".
Yamir chirped when Liam stopped petting him; he shuffled closer before shoving his head under the trainees' hand. Pets now, fighting later.

"Bu-bu-but... You're my su-superior! And I must respect that!" He still relaxed his pose, dropping his arm only to find his hand instantly occupied by a greedy Yamir. He was all too willing to comply with the Pidgeot's demands. "But... uh, I mean... that is, what was your reque... request?"
