...:::Welcome:::... To the home of the Valkyries. Way atop a mountain, the valkyries are celebrating their latest raid and victory over another race of faes. They have come home with her loot; males and gold, and have begun their normal celebrations! Which of course means bonfires, talking, sorting out said booty, and just down right partying! Their mountain home is much to high for anything without wings to get here. All their male booty is kept under watch in the middle of their home. There are buildings all around in different sorts of architecture, no rhyme or reason to it. Some are larger than others, and at the back of the camp, pressed into mountain wall is a temple dedicated to their Goddess Synthia. But all the partying is taking place in the main area of bonfires and loot!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please understand that this event (at least RP wise) is for Valkyrie owners! If you wish to join in on the RP, but do not have a valk, go ahead and toss a male fae into the growing pile of "loot". This is mainly for RP purposes, they are used as slaves, servants, and breeding stock. We're not going to say "Your fae is our servant and can't have flings with others!"; it's all just for RP. <3 We'd love such RP, but it's for fun and giggles! If you do not have a valk, or do not want to toss a male into the pile, then feel free to lurk or hang out OOC. All the games and prizes are valks, and they are for anyone to win! Also, if you don't have any open males you can RP as a non-valk female camp follower. More info on that in the information post!

Her very own two mortal daughters rule the clan of the valkyrie, both as different as night and day from each other. More info on the daughters & goddess to come....

...:::Valkyrie!:::... We figured we'd point out some aspects of the race to explain things better!
Valkyries above all else, think males as being the weaker sex. The strongest, most honored male is still lower than the weakest, craven of a female. They will ALWAYS side with the females.
Valkyries have a power which entices men, making males fall in love with them, or at least lust for them. This is a power blessed by their Goddess, to aide them in life and their struggles.
They believe they are a band of sisters, a family. They protect each other. This doesn't mean they don't disagree or hate each other, it just means they consider everyone family of sorts. You can hate your family!
They do not believe in mating; at least with males. A valk who mates herself to a male is no better than a male! Often they will be purged from the tribe, and disowned at the least. If a valk of the tribe sees a dishonored valk of this sort, they will start fights because it is seen as dishonoring the Goddess.
However, the accepted form of mating is to females. If a valk takes a non-valk mate, then that female takes a non-combat role in life. Like watching the children, teaching, etc. They are not allowed to serve in the temple under no means however. If a valk flings with females (or the males) it is considered normal behavior, except when it comes to other valks. Once two valks start a relationship, it's considered dishonoring if they do not mate. Not in a way that will kick them out, but in a way that the rest of the tribe will look down their noses at such females.
Combat valks have armor, non-combat valks do not have armor. Typically, the ones in armor are the fighters, while the rest take care of everything else. Aka historians, messengers, temple workers, etc. One type of valk is not considered better than the other type; all aspects are needed to make life run smoothly.
The difference between an ebil gal and a neutral gal is hard to tell. Mostly, it's how they treat the males. Ebil ones will treat them as slaves, and tend to be a little more abusive to the male meat. Neutral gals will treat them as servants and pets, and will be stern, but generally nice to them. In a weird sort of way. Ebil valks are considered fiercer, wild, and quick to leap before they look, while the neutral ones are calmer, and look before they leap... while taking their time to do so!
Non-female valks running around the homeland tend to be the offspring of valk/male or valk/nonvalk relations. They are often pitied and treated like family pets or children. Not that they're treated bad, it's just sad they didn't get to be valks.
Males are never allowed in the temple. Valks are the only ones who get to work in the temple. Other females can come in to pray, meditate, and speak to the goddess, but only valkyries can handle anything holy.

And they are up for ANYONE to win!!! Nilo's been working on hers, so her's will be premade. KTQueen's will be semi-custom, working with the winner to create the second in command!
