It was a beautiful sort of day, barely a cloud in the sky but a nice breeze kept the weather from being overbearing, and the scattered trees provided shade if it did begin to feel too hot. The lioness was in a giddy mood, having left her adopted kittens under the watch of her adopted daughter to find some respite for the itch in her paws. Why she had this overwhelming desire to keep moving whenever she sat still too long she didn’t know, but there were only wonderful things about traveling. New places to see, new people to meet, countless adventures to be had and friends to be made. How could there be anything wrong with this?
Keena was easy to please, rolling grasslands would suit her just as fine as a sparse forest or racing streambed. Rain was almost as good as sunshine, and sandy pebbles on a beach were just as nice as meadows of sweet flowers. It wasn’t where you were, it was who you were that mattered. Places changed or stayed the same, but people always made the world what it really was.
Content in her moment, the pale lioness continued on her way to nowhere, traveling deliberately in a large loop that would bring her back to her little ones before tomorrow morning. It didn’t matter where she was going, it only mattered that she go.
