Humans vs. Zombies
Beta Coming Soon. Based off of Humans Vs. Zombies OrganizationLOCATION: Gaia ForumsDATES: Month of October. Annually.OBJECTIVE: Infect all of Gaia. Or survive the apocalypse.GAMEPLAY: The thread is made. People sign up. Guild members can sign up through PM to become an Original Zombie to start the spread. Everyone else signs up to be a human. Humans will receive the signature marker to announce they're playing.
The Original Zombie(s) will have to tag a human by posting a comment saying anything. If the player doesn't reply with the word "Sock!" within two hours, they are infected and the game begins. Original Zombies now have to wear their signature marker as well. They can post after someone in the forums or comment on their profile to attempt infecting a new person. For defense, humans can say the word "Sock!" or "Nerf!" after a zombie they see three times in an hour. So, if one sock is used, a human is down to 2 until one hour later, when they have 3 again. The guild is the safe zone for humans and zombies. "Sock!" and "Nerf!" stun a zombie from attacking for 15 minutes....Necessities: Available Profiles, Enabled Comments, Activity in the Gaia forums, space in the signature.
I'm going to need guinea pigs to ensure the funability, playability, and durability, and flaws and all that. But first, tell me just how much you understood from all that and what's missing?Scheduling:October 1: Thread is made in guild. Guild members sign up to play and receive their player number, and those interested send a crew member a PM to be an Original Zombie. October 4: Thread is made in GCP. Gaians sign up to play and receive their player number. Hype is raised. October 17: Sign-up is closed. October 18: Humans put on their signature marker. Original Zombies are sent out to infect the players. They post anything on their profile, "Hey, Frisbee123! That's an awesome avi" An hour passes and they say nothing. That Original Zombie puts the player number in the thread and their marker in their sig. Zombies post immediately after players. Humans post "Sock!" immediately after zombies. Humans become zombies if no one playing posts "Sock!" within 5 minutes. Zombies will be sneaky and stealthy and stalky. Humans will not. Events will be played in zOMG! or Towns where zombies will only have to get their avatar touching their victim's before the victim says Sock [username]! in Towns or buff them with a particular buff ring in zOMG! Surviving Humans get various perks for surviving or completing some objective. November 1: Game is over. The count is tallied up and a picture in zOMG! or Towns. Gold may be given to the survivors maybe the most infecting zombies.

 How to be a human: Post like normal, but check your posts often for zombie attacks.
Protect other players if you like with your socks and nerfs.
Do not stalk zombies to keep them stunned. If you see one, you can sock them (if you have socks left over.)
Keep up with your count of socks.
Quote the zombies you sock so they know they've been socked and cannot attack.
You must post at least every other day to remain alive. If you take more than two days to post, you've starved to death and cannot be reanimated because you were not infected. It's only spread through contact.
If you're infected, make sure to change your sig marker to the zombie one.
Don't ever take off your marker. It's like your oxygen mask. Take it off and you die.
Your profile must be available to the public; if you prefer privacy, you won't be a very fun participant in this game.
You can try to hide your post history, but zombies in this game are smarter than zombies in games and such. How to be a zombie:Stalk players and post after them. Wait five minutes and post that you have infected them in the guild thread with their player number and a link to where they were attacked.
Only post after posts that have been made at the start of the game. (Don't go searching for ancient posts from years ago)
All guild forums, threads and events are safe zones, so no attacking, but stalking is permitted.
Heed the timing if you have been socked.
Don't worry about what you post, just don't quote them. I'm trying to make this as clear as possible, getting all the rules out of my head and concretely onto thread (not paper, tehe)... but I'm certain that the easiest way to explain it is through doing it. I'm probably going to run a beta test within the guild or something for the whole month of September, and then again in October, and we're just going to have to hold it off for a while until I'm sure this is fun and well-transferred from a campus/real-life game to a forum one.
What kind of questions do you guys have?
