If so, What tricks do you know? =D
=) Hey, im in to Hooping..Soon I will move on to Fire Hooping. And maybe try out Poi.
Ive only been hooping since...May. Haha, but Ive progressed rather fast.

I love all of that. They have some amazing hooping at High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy, CA and I've heard burning man has some amazing POI there. I glowstick though.

i do poi, dance, and dabble in hooping. with poi im more a single poi person learning more ropedart moves but yet i am decent at double poi. i can fire spin just dont have the guts to do it.

I do fire sticks, crystal stix and diabolo... not really related to what you listed. but it's all a little similar i suppose.

Um...Forgive my ignorance...but I don't know what these things are. ;3; But I'm really curious! What are those things, and what are those different kinds that you all mentioned?

Well hooping refers to using a hula hoop mainly, but you can use other objects that are circular.
Poi is what refers to spinning with fire. So mainly anything related to use fire sticks or something that is on fire to do a show.
Glowsticking is using glowsticks attached to string and you basically do about the same movements like Poi, but your using glowsticks. You can wave them in a circle or do cool tricks with them.
The rest I'm a little hazy on how to describe them. Now I have seen them, but I'll let the more experienced share about those.

And thank you so much for explaining to me! ^^ It is very dangerous with all of those. I remember when I first started out glowsticking I hit myself so many times and had so many bruises from the string and glowsticks hitting me. I'm better now, but still hurts in certain areas. Ha ha. Your welcome I wish I could explain them all, but I would definitely check out videos online on youtube. Just type in Fire Poi and you'll see what they were talking about. Also the other search terms like staffing, glowsticking, hooping you will be quite surprised to see what you find. Hope you like it all if you do go on a video search.

poi actually is the same as glowsticking, you can have glow poi and fire poi. you can train with glowsticks to learn poi moves.
there is also glow hooping, or fire hooping, its all alot of fun. fire is scary and you need to know what your doing and be confident, and have a spotter :]

I hoop...nothing intense, I just know a couple tricks and stuff but compared to them, my parents and friends think its amazing XD
I actually have...four hoops; two of the really little, like, plastic kind for little kids because that's how I started out, one weighted with water that broke so it's held together with tape (I don't have the heart to get rid of it sweatdrop )
Aand my boyfriend just bought me a more "professional" one that's bigger, heavier, and collapsible =3
He actually ordered it from here, its for a good cause, dunno if she's still doing it though =/

iv been learnin how to poi/glowstick for a lil while noaw...
i can do some basic stuffz but i still cant thread that damn needle

Ever since my first event where I saw hooping I've wanted to do it. As a kid I won a hula hooping contest for some radio station, hooped like 16 at once O.o I dunno if I'm that good anymore but I want an LED hoop so bad so I can hoop all the time ^^
