The cream colored mare sat peacefully in the open field. Her mane was blowing gently in the breeze and her tail flicking lightly. Anyone that walked near her would know that she was upset. You could tell by the sniffling and the light trembling of her body. She was upset and the worse part was…she had no one to help her through it. No family. Not a friend she considered close. She was alone. Dumped like garbage by her mate, she was turned down yet again by someone she loved. She hate feeling this way and hated how weak she looked to others if they came by her. Though at this point…she didn’t care. Why care? She was a mess and there was no way she was ever going to be fine again. It’s how she felt and thought.

“I don’t deserve anything…why should anyone love me.” She muttered to herself feeling her body tremble more as tears ran down her cheeks. They fell on her lower legs damping them a bit as she sat there. Then afterward, she felt rain drops hit her back making her smile slightly. Finally, she felt justice in them. They felt so warm to her even if they were cold on her pelt. She hadn't felt this way in awhile. Her heart was just pieces at this point. She didn't know if anyone could help her through a rough patch like this.

As the rain gradually fell harder on the mare, she just didn't move. She laid there drenched in the cold rain not worrying about getting sick or even dying from such a sickness. She wasn't worried over anything like that anymore. Sadly she was peace knowing she may die from this...

As the rain poured down onto the earth, Tsong tried his best to keep himself under the larger trees. He didn't mind his light brown mane, tail, and coat getting wet, but his wings getting wet... It seemed to wear them down and make them feel heavier than they normally were. It was definitely not good. Slowly, tree by tree, he tried looking for a overhang to keep himself dry until the downpour calmed.

He finally found a ledge under some large boulders where he could sit and in the area, as well as let any other travelers come in as well. As Tsong was about to put his head down to listen to the rain hitting the rocks and rest, he noticed a cream dot in the middle of an open field. "Weird," he thought. Afraid that it might be someone in trouble, he hurried towards it.

When he got there, he saw that it was a Uni mare, just lying there by herself. "Excuse me, miss, but are you okay?"

"There are some large boulders not to far away that could shield us both from the rain." Tsong looked at her, he was very worried that she was injured or something. She looked really worn out. "I can help you get there!"

The blue speckled mare was too busy crying to notice much around her at the moment. She couldn't stand being this upset. This was the worst time of her life and there wasn't anything she could do about it. She felt dreadful and the last thing she needed was someone to cheer her up. It wouldn't help her with her current situation. She just wanted to be happy. She has been off and on happiness. It would happen and then it would go away. It was like a curse.

"Am I okay? No..I'm a mess." She said in a half hearted kind of way. It was true, but it was more then a mess. She was thinking about going to the arctic and not returning for a long time. "There is nothing wrong with the rain...it makes me feel a little better. I know I sound crazy, but it's soothing." She told him lightly before rising to her feet in a wobbly sort of manner. "Do I look scary to you? I have loved 3 stallions...all have broke my heart. What is the point of loving anymore?" She asked him as she stood as steadily as she could. "Do you not like the rain?" She asked as she walked slowly not able to push herself any more then that at the moment.

"I just want to run away...run far away from all of this. Go back to my homeland and be alone for awhile before returning. I have nothing holding me here. Only two stallions who I loved that are now friends, but with someone else. How can I even be around them? All I feel is pain. They may have cared for me, but they made their decision. One that didn't include me in it." She said in a strained voice with more tears running down her cheeks. "Can you help me?" She asked him with her body drifting to the side a bit before she fell onto the ground.

The rain kept pouring down harder and harder on Tsong and the poor mare. He couldn't help himself, but he felt like he needed to help her. Tsong listened to what she had to say with an attentive ear and was really sorry for what she had gone through. There was no point apologizing, he knew that, so he just listened and tried to reply to her when she finished speaking.

"Rain, in a little bit is okay, but a lot can get you sick," he told her, half worried that both of them would be sick after this. "I don't think either of us would really like that, since it seems like we're both wandering. And about the rain... Not that I hate it or anything... My wings just don't feel very comfortable in them."

He looked back at his enormous wings. "They get kind of soggy and heavy to carry after a while, which is the complete opposite of how light they normally are." Tsong sighed as his back was starting to get tired from the rain-soaked wings, but he knew he had to get this mare to the shelter he found.

"You're not scary," he gently told her with a smile as they walked nearer to the shelter. "Just hurt, and not deserving of all the pain you are going through. Think of it as them not deserving your love, not you undeserving to be loved." Tsong didn't really have any knowledge of the 'love department', but he felt like it was the truth. He knew what his ideas of love are.

"Being alone doesn't solve problems... You'd just be running. A listening ear and a thoughtful voice is what would probably help you most right now." Tsong said as she fell to the ground. "Be careful," he told her as he helped her up again.

He smiled when she asked for his help. Tsong helped her regain her footing again and gently nudged her towards the shelter, since they were getting closer. "Of course. I'll be a listening ear for as long as you need it!"

The unicorn mare eyed the stallion unsure of how she should feel about him right now. He looked sad every time he looked upon her and was beginning to think her sadness was being pushed onto him. This only made her feel worse. She would never want anyone to feel as horrible as she was feeling right now. She felt the nudge and smiled a little back at him for the help. He was very kind. This was something she needed right now. "I know it can. Maybe it's better for me that I got ill. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live on the other side." She spoke with sadness falling off her tongue. She was depressed alright. There wasn't anything anyone could do about it either. "Maybe we can go to a place I stay at instead? It's not too far, but it's a good bit of walking through the woods. It's where I like to call home. If you don't mind the walk that is?" She told him as she shifted her direction a bit. her hair was getting attached to her and she hated that more then anything.

"Oh I see. They look very delicate anyway and shouldn't be out in this type of climate. Don't you agree?" She asked him barely looking over to him because the rain was nearly blinding her vision at this point. "I wish it was that simple. I may not be scary, but I should be loved. I haven't done anything wrong where they need to push me aside and love someone else, though it's really my fault. I should have told them how I felt. One I kind of did, but the other...just left out of my life once he grew. Then the third...stole my heart and crushed it." She spoke softly through the heavy downpour.

"You are right. Calon told me the same thing. He is one of the stallion's that I fell in love with. I should take it as a lesson and an experience. I shouldn't just run away like that. It's cowardly and those who I have made friendships with here will miss me." She said before venturing into the woods more feeling a little relieved that the rain didn't come through as much when they were in there. "My home is on the side of one of the mountains. I hope it isn't too cold for us since we are wet." She nodded and continued on barely feeling the rain anymore. Her tears were soon combined with the rain and she couldn't even cry. There wasn't a point to it. "Sorry..you don't mind me talking to you about this? It's been awhile since I got a lot off my shoulders and maybe at the shelter we can talk a lot more without feeling cold." She told him lightly.

"Getting ill won't start anything for the better; in the long run, it would only make things worse." Tsong nudged her gently with his muzzle, reassuring her. He felt like the sadness inside of her was worsening little by little as she kept it in. "I shall accompany you to anywhere you feel comfortable.

Tsong gave her a smile. As she spoke, it seemed as though a great burden was slowly lifting off her shoulders. He was definitely glad that he could at least feel her sadness going away, even though she was still very much upset. He got up on his feet and started to nuzzle her stomach, wanting her to stand up so they could get moving.

His wings... He started to ignore and just focus more on this poor mare. "Well, if we walk under the dryer parts under the trees, I'm sure we could at least dry off a little." When she seemed worried about him not wanting to listen to her, he frowned.

"Of course I'm willing to listen." Tsong nuzzled her again and smiled. "I'll be here for you as long as you want me to listen." He was unsure if she wanted anything more than someone to listen to her, so Tsong didn't reply about the different stallions that had broken her heart.

Hydro snorted a bit at the stallion before looking away from him. She could get sick if she wanted to. Who would care right? "I guess. I just don't seen the harm in me getting sick. Who is going to care? Who really would care if I got so ill I died?" She said as she sniffled slightly looking down a bit. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to say that. I've..I've just been a little depressed lately." She said to him as she moved closer to him to get a little warm. She hated when the rain was cold. It was beginning to bother her more and more ever since she started not staying near the mountains as much.

"Well I fell in love three times...The first was with a stallion named Calon. I couldn't help my feelings and I knew he was mated with another mare. She was never around and I thought maybe I could move my way in, but it was doomed from the start. He loved her not me. Then next was Mint. A foal I watched grow to adulthood. I fell for him easily, but then I come to find out he is attracted to both males and females. I don't have anything against that, but I'm not going to share him while some stallion gives him love as well. That just isn't going to happen." She said looking down a little bit. "Then the third was Pachu'a. He didn't talk much, but we got along great. Then suddenly...he didn't come back. I waited for 6 long months and nothing so I decided to just move on. I have been burnt more times then anyone should and I feel sick wondering why it happened. I'm never noticed it seems and when I am the stallion just vanishes." She spoke softly as if trying to keep her tears at bay. She walked more slowly beside him feeling her stomach turn in disapproval. "Over there." He said as she trotted off towards the cave.
