So I've known for months, and it has really been bothering me, but I've been sulking around for to long to even talk about it. http://www.truthdig.com/images/eartothegrounduploads/soundstrike_300.gifWhy are bands boycotting it anyway? Them boycotting Arizona because of a law that is just ******** stupid is not going to do anything! All they are doing is punishing their own fans, which is completely unfair! ******** christ, I'm not even old enough to vote yet. D''': Ughnnn. I'm going to have to move. And my father tells me every time I bring it up that I should just boycott those bands...I don't know if I could do that.

Bands are boycotting it because they want to be, or are, politically involved and they are standing up for what they believe in. I'm not at all surprised that Serj, Rise Against, and Rage Against the Machine are boycotting Arizona. They're like the most politically involved musicians in the world. I feel sorry for you though Dx Not being able to see Serj in concert xP
I feel bad for marking my calender for the 20th of September now Dx Serj is playing in San Diego, and there's a chance I might go...
I understand why they are protesting though. It's understandable, but not at all fair.

It is not fair and what they are doing isn't going to ******** change the law.

explodingstaples No! He's boycotting your Governor! Don't think like that! D= Then he would boycott the Governor, not the state and not his fans... I have actually lost all respect for all bands who are boycotting Arizona.

I'm pretty sure Jack White is the same way about Philly...but I don't know why...
I understand that people and bands boycott different things, but lately this whole "activism" s**t gets me pissed off. The other day I was looking at an article saying that sea turtles were dying because of BP....sooo 140,000 people sent their signature to say "Stop Killing Sea Turtles!!!!" I'm quite sure BP was doing this on purpose and they are just evil!
What about all the people dying for different reasons, the sweat shops that are horrible, etc etc etc. People become write silly letters and what not because it's a distraction from more serious issues. Sorry, your signatures aren't doing anything.
I have an idea, can we send 140,000 signatures to Mother Earth and ask her to stop sending terrible storms and killing people?
*End Rant* <3

And if that was supposed to be sarcasm, it is poorly written. But seriously, what would you do if your favorite artist and hero was boycotting the state you live in? Would you not be peeved about it? Would you stand up and do something? Here, let me ask you one more question, sweetie. Why live in a country that allows you express your feelings and protest, if you aren't going to take advantage of those rights?

Why live in a country that allows you express your feelings and protest, if you aren't going to take advantage of those rights? Yes it was sarcasm thank you. I am so sorry I am not as perfect on the internet as you. And how am I supposed to change the feelings of someone I would never have a chance to talk to? And I was not talking about you boycotting them, I was talking about the band boycotting the state, defending you. And I did not have the choice of where I was born and where I live. I'm not saying don't protest, I'm just saying it probably won't do too much. And why just because they offer different things here does it mean you have to use it? So because I choose not to boycott something means I shouldn't live here?
