Jelani was out again, it wasn’t unsual to see him out and about scouting the borders and then the females of the pride. Of course he never got anywhere with any of the females but then that was just his luck and their bad luck. He was the most gorgeous male in the pride and those females tried so hard to keep away from him. It made little sense to him.
Maybe the spirits liked him today more so then normal because there in front of him was a black female, he had seen her before. She was a huntress of the pride though she never seemed bothered by anyone but hunting. However today he was going to try his luck, after all she had been out several times already today and caught quite a bit so he was sure she would be up for him today.
“G’Morning beautiful...” Oh yes, butter then up.
“Gorgeous morning isn’t it?” He looked at her in that way that only Jelani could do.
Senka was a huntress alright, a huntress who paid no attention to anyone but herself and her job. She wasn’t really one to care for males or other females in fact. She kept very much to herself. She hunted most of the day and only stopped to rest and sleep. Her job meant everything to her and she was a good hunter.
The male she noticed easily enough. He had a reputation and he had tried this before so she just rolled her eyes as he started to talk to her.
“What do you want?” Senka’s tail flicked behind her and her muscles tensed. It looked as if she was expecting a fight.
Jelani looked shocked at Senka's reaction to him. Come on everyone loved him!
"No need to be so harsh. Senka isn't it? Such a wonderful name!" Jelani carried on trying to flatter her completely ignoring her body language. If he had bothered to notice then maybe he would have backed off but his brain hung between his legs and Senka was female. Of course he wasn't going to notice anything she did unless it was to give into him.
He moved towards her a little and smiled.
"So are you hungry? You have been working so hard..."
Senka hissed as he spoke to her. How could he not pick up on the obvious hints that she was not interested.
"Jelani isn't it? Get a life..." She then turned to walk past him. She wasn't in the mood for an idiot and his so called amazingness. She wasn't in the mood, she unlike him had been working hard all morning and she wanted to find somewhere to go and rest. She didn't want an idiotic warrior on her back, in any way.
"Oh calm down girl... we can go have some fun!" No he really wasn't getting the hint. He should do really as she was being rather blatant but then he wasn't one to give up.
"Oh come on Senka, you must be tired, lets go eat and rest... together." He smiled at her with a smile that could be seen as cocky. He walked towards her even more and flicked his tail over her back.
"Come on..." His voice calmed to that caring voice of his. She was so going to give into him.
Senka was pissed off, it was the most obvious thing ever and he didn't get it. Why was he so stupid. She let out a sigh and turned around to tell him to get lost when she felt his tail flick her back. That was it.
"Get the message boy!" She hissed the words as she jumped at him, her claws out and aiming for his face. She wanted to kill him right now, how could he not get the message?
Jelani wasn't expecting that though really he should have done. He was use to females scratching him but going for his face and looking as if she wanted to rip it off, no that was different. He moved but not before her claws caught the side of his face.
He felt the blood dripping down his face and the warrior in him kicked in. He was not about to be beaten by a female. He would have her one way or another. He jumped towards her, his claws now out, a proper fight about to start.
Senka knew what he was about to do, it didn't surprise her in the slightest how he reacted or how he jumped after her. She flicked her tail and moved out of his way. She was a huntress and she knew how to move. She wasn't a fighter there was no doubt about that but she could move.
She avoided all of his attacks and eventually managed to jump on to his back while he was turned for a second. Her claws grabbed his back as she dug them in to cling on. She wanted to get rid of him and maybe this would teach him? She could hope so, she wasn not interested in males especially not one like him.
He fought as if he was fighting another warrior and wasn't expecting her to be able to move as she did. He made him angry that he was being outdone by a huntress, a lame old huntress.
As she got his back he let out a roar and dropped to the ground rolling to get her off him. He was not going to loose to a female, especially not a hunter! Oh he would have her for this.
She felt him move beneath her and felt slightly afraid when he dropped to the ground and rolled. She had to let go so that he didn't crush her to death.
She managed to get on her feet again and hissed at him before running off into the prides lands. He wouldn't follow her to fight in the main pride area, they would both get in trouble for that. She defiantly needed to rest now as well. Stupid male, someone needed to teach him a lesson!
Jelani smiled as he felt her loosen on his back and as he got up he saw her running off. She was running away? He growled and went to follow her before he realised that wouldn't be a good idea. He would get her... he would.
He let out a sigh and turned to head back the way he had come. Maybe he could go see that pretty female again. She might take pity on him this time now he was all scratched up.
