At first glance, the Academy can be said to have a rather eccentric appearance, looking a bit like a large funhouse rather than a school. Standing on a large platform which can be accessed by a long line of white steps, the school is comprised of a collection of large black towers and spires patterned with white lines and the occasional Shinigami mask. The roofs of the towers are conical and bright red in colour. Enormous candles poke out of shafts along the circumference of the buildings. Strangely, the flames of these candles never go out, and the candles never shorten. The Academy's most distinguishing feature however, are the three large Shinigami skulls lined up at the entrance. The middle skull is the largest, and sports three blood red spikes going through its eye and nose holes. The skulls on the side are smaller and have slanted eyes. The gaps between the 'teeth' of these giant skulls serves as the school's main entrances. At the top of the school hover three strange black orbs (in the anime, it is hinted they could be a seal of some form to imprison Asura pre-release).
The Academy is completely symmetrical, which immediately impresses Death the Kid upon first enrolling in the school.

Death The Girl
Girl-chan let out a loud sigh of annoyance and ploped herself down on the steps leading into the monsterous building we all call the DWMA. "Man...I never thought school would be so..so...vacant." And this surprise her to no end, because Death, her own father, was normaly always so alive! But looking inside and around: empty classrooms, hall ways with only two to three people, the vast area connect the the entrance of the school itself, no one. Girl-chan stared at the few clouds in the sky with not a single scrap of admiration "and I really do wish there was more life to go around...":~OoC~: [[Anyone who wants can RP with me if they want! ^w^]]

Karasu Uchiha Karasu walked up to the main entrance of the school. Her black eyes peered up at the immense height and she shielded her eyes from the sun."Woah..." she murmured out loud and glanced down at the pebbled ground under her feet. She rubbed her eyes and then blinked before glancing at the door to get in. She saw another girl there and wondered what she was doing. Karasu sighed deeply and walked forward, clutching her bag, which hung loosely over her shoulder. 'Here we go...' she thought to herself and placed one foot on the bottom step and then the others until she reached the top. She pretended not to notice the girl on the steps, and acted like she was in a hurry.

Death The Girl
Girl-chan sat up and headed upward, passing Karasu on the way down. She had a blank look on her face then mummbled, "I need to find my father..." Girl-chan shoved her hands down her skirt pockets then were well hidden in its ash shade of black.:~OoC~: [[ ]]

Karasu Uchiha Karasu froze slightly as the girl passed her and was expecting her to say something to her. When she mumbled something and it wasn't directed towards her, Karasu breathed silently and trotted to the top of the stairs. She sighed and stopped infront of the doors, turning her head to look over her shoulder at where the girl was headed. 'Who's her father?' Karasu wondered to herself and then looked away.

Death The Girl
Girl-chan looked at Karasu from the corner of her eye, "my father is Shinigami-sama, or Lord Death if you wanna get formal about it." The glow in Girl-chan's yellow eyes seemed to dim down slightly, "...So why would you care?" But Girl-chan knew the girl didn't really care, it was just a simple case of wonder and nothing more. "...Unless you don't want to tell me, then I understand if you don't want to." Girl-chan leaned up agents the wall, smirking lightly at Karasu.:~OoC~: [[ ]]
