Tatooine. A burning, heat-blasted world. Archaeologists have discovered that, long ago, over twenty-thousand years before the Republic was formed, Tatooine was a gorgeous tropical world, covered in seas and islands.

Now, after some unexplained upheaval, the world has been reduced to a rocky, sandy blot in the depths of space, a tan scar. It attracts criminals, smugglers and those hoping to get lost like carver bugs to fresh carrion.

The three primary cities of note:

Anchorhead, a small, walled settlement that used to be under the control of the powerful Czerka Corp, has now become little more than a minor trading community.

Mos Espa, famous for it's Pod Racing Arena, is a small town devoted primarily to salvage and illicit trade.

And finally, Mos Eisley. Never has there been a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. This city is a mecca of trade, a warren of alleys, bars and shops that anyone can get lost in if they don't pay attention....Or if they wish to.

The Hutts control this world, or did until the local Crime Boss, Jabba Deseljik Tiurre, found himself dying at the hands of his newest slave girl. Now it is as lawless as ever, with less of the Hutt's disgusting influence.

Planetary Starting Point: Mos Eisley Spaceport. Find Exit transports here, as well as personal spacecraft.

Local Sentient Species of Note:

Tusken Raiders: These vicious, dune-dwelling warriors are a nomadic and proud race that dislikes technology and prefers to keep their Bantha Mounts nearby. They have a nearly psychic connection with their mounts, and are profoundly in touch with the world around them. They are to be avoided if possible, but if they are to be confronted, remember that they primarily rely on primitive slug throwers and their Gaffi sticks for combat.

Jawas: These small, rodent-like Scavengers are a common sight in every city on the planet. They are traders and scavengers, salvaging droids, weapons and even parts of ships to sell in town and to each other. They dwell in rust-colored treaded vehicles called Sand Crawlers, and are most easily recognizable due to their eerie yellow eyes, distinctive smell, chattering language and heavy, all-concealing robes.

Non-sentient species of note: WILL BE ADDED LATER.

*In the sandy, overheated streets of Anchorhead, a Toydarian buzzes from shop to shop, looking for a pair of power converters for his unfortunately disabled ship. He can be heard mumbling to himself in basic.

The small, blue creature bobs about on his bat-like wings, his trunk of a snout wrinkling as he keeps finding what he needs either in terrible shape or for far too much.*

Oorvo: Oh, come on! What kind of huttslug do you take me for! I know these Converters were stripped off of a YT-1000! They won't even WORK for a Firespray!

*The dealer he's arguing with, a corpulent Rodian named Gadil, makes an odd trilling sound of annoyance at this accusation, but when Oorvo shows him the I.D. tag still on the (undoubtedly stolen) converters, he shuts up.*
