Intro: As the title suggests, this is a realm where you can wander anywhere you please. Between dimensions, between worlds if you will. Or from another town to another town. Or city to city. Or just wander the world itself. It is up to you, and for you alone to decide. That is not to say you can make things up as you go. There will be an set world in which everyone starts in with its cities and towns, landmarks and such. However, anything beyond that is up to you.

The World: The world, better known as Yggdrasil, is a world just like any other. It has its peaceful places, its war torn countries, its superpowers and its poverty stricken third-world lands. But there is one thing that sets it apart from just any old world one might come across. It is a place where mythical anthologies come together. Humans and animals...they are not the only things that inhabit this place. Yggdrasil is home to legends from Norse mythology, legends from Asian mythology, and legends from any other ancient culture one can possibly think of. There are also places in this world where one might think it comes straight from a science-fiction novel or a place out of some backwater fantasy land.
Yggdrasil is a world one might consider a paradise or a hell. That is up for you to decide as you begin your journey. Your journey into a new life as a normal human, a creature of legend or a creature of your own fantasy. It is up for you to choose, for once you do...there is no going back.

Places: Trodain: One of the major cities of the fantasy aspect of Yggdrasil. A superpower of the fantasy aspect, guarded by powerful magics that can counter even the most advanced technologies, defended by mage-knights who's battle skills and prowess are second to none. Those who hail from Trodain are respected throughout Yggdrasil both with reverence and fear for their god-like powers.
Hilas: A floating kingdom who is known for their superior flight technologies based around a mysterious substance known as nethicite and their own form of magic. While different from Trodain's magic, Hilas's magic is no less potent. And is just as widely respected as well as feared by everyone of Yggdrasil. The difference is that Hilas uses their magic in furthering their knowledge of science whereas Trodain uses theirs to further their power and understanding of magic itself.
Minowara: The ancient seat of power for all of Yggdrasil and also the only city country in existence, even from the Old World. Now nothing more than a former shell of its mighty self that is merely the token head of all of Yggdrasil now. It still is where kings and queens are produced as well as mighty mages and knights, but compared to Trodain or Hilas, Minowaran might is paled by comparison. It is, however, still the most grand city in existence to date and many come from all over Yggdrasil to see its splendor and harken back to days of yore.
Arcadia: The superpower of the New World, and as such, the technological world. The "American" country, to compare it against something. While they are the most powerful in terms of technology, they have not been able to conquer the cities and empires of the Old World due to the fact that they are unable to counter the magical abilities those countries possess. The same goes for the Old Countries in conquering the New World. They are unable to get past the technological advances the New World has developed.
Kiku-konmoji: The Asian superpower of the modern world, it is second only to Arcadia in terms of everything. The only thing that they have over all the other countries, both Old and New, is population and by default...the size of their army. Despite that, they are unable to conquer Arcadia, let alone the Old World Countries. __________________________________________________________________
Those are but the starting cities in Yggdrasil. You can come up with your own. My only thing is if you do, that you PM me about adding a town or a city or a new empire. I've left the science-fiction part out because everyone has their own idea about that sort of thing.
Otherwise, you may begin! Oh, and before I forget. More will come, rules and a Profile Skeleton and whatnot...but for now, just have fun.

Shrouded in darkness, surrounded by death...a figure who's purpose was unknown and undecided walked the streets of a desolte city who's look showed years of turmoil, rebellion and hardship under what appeared to be a imperial and fascist rule. In essence, a forgotten city in Minowara. The sinister looking figure wondered what was coming of this day and age, where violence and death ran rampant over the innocent, divine law ignored by the sinful and sinful rule was the abiding way of life. He could not fathom why such lack of diligence was so raw and why no measures were being taken to bring such lawlessness under control. The strange thing was that this sinister looking figure was not new to this particular city as he'd fought with two strange characters here and was nearly killed as a result by one who's unique ability to control blood was what nearly caused his downfall. It was only due to his special powers and ability to communicate plus control legendary Dragons of Divine Power that he was saved from being destroyed by the blood-user. He wandered the streets, not aimlessly but looking for something in which could direct him towards a purpose to put forth his energies. He looked for a purpose in which he could direct his powers, use them for a cause that served a just purpose or at the very least had a single goal in mind. The revival of an era.
Passing by rubble, broken buildings, destroyed signs of business long since out of work...the dark and sinister looking figure wondered why he had returned here. Was he seeking some sort of closure or retribution for the humiliation he was dealt when fighting those two people? For now, the cloaked and shadowy enigmatic figure simply walked the desolate streets in curiosity. Wondering if he would find something, someone or a group of somethings, someones. Yet, his peace was not long lived, his solitude of wandering alone disturbed. A gang of mutated creatures, whos appearances suggested that they had once been human, wandered from the darkened alleyways and shadows of debris piles. Their postures suggested that they did not retain their once human minds and were merely now beasts out looking for their next meal. A larger, more dangerous looking mutated creature seemed to be the undisputed leaders as it took the lead and slathered out in some incomprehensible gutteral language for the other plethora to follow it. The sinister looking figure, from within the dark depths of his hood, closed his eyes in sadness at seeing these once proud human beings reduced to this mutated, beastial state. Opening his crimson orbs to stare at the approaching creatures, a single glow of crimson seemed to emerged from the darkness of the cloaked figure's hood before it raised the Glaive it was holding in its left hand and crouched down before launching itself forward.
The beastial creatures were much faster and dexteritous than their appearances would lead others to believe them capable of achieving. The cloaked figure, regardless, readied its Glaive and went into a funnel-like motion that sent him spiraling towards the converging group. As they approached their collision course, time seemed to suddenly stop as the cloaked figure seemed to elongate and then flash right through the crowd of mutants as a streak of red before he appeared on the other side of the mutant crowd in a whorl of dust before coming to a sliding halt and standing up, Glaive pointed at the ground. The de-facto mutant leader gave what the cloaked figure assumed was a laugh before roaring out what he also assumed for its minion to go and attack him. However, before they could, there was a sudden flash of light and a subsequent explosion. Not an explosion of your typical nature but more of a bodily explosion in the sense of bodies being blown to bits while flesh and blood rained from the sky. This had the obvious effect of stopping the menagerie of mutants from continuing their attacks as they stood there while their former comrades rained down upon them from above...as bits and pieces of their former selves. The sinister looking cloaked figure stood there as bits and pieces of flesh and blood rained down around him, missing him since a crimson-blood colored aura was surrounding him and deflected everything while he watched his destruction continue. Bodies were exploding as if by some internal force until only a small handful of the mutated beasts remained standing. There was indecision amongst them and the cloaked figure could not abide such hesitation.
Crouching down, the cloaked figure seemed to move forward in a lunge in slow motion as time seemed to slow down around him before it resumed its normal pace and the cloaked figure just vanished from sight in a whorl of dust to be the only mark that he had left his position. The spear point of the Glaive was at the hallow of the leader mutant's throat where the neck and jaw were seemingly co-joined as the cloaked figure kneeled before the massive beast before looking up and that single orb deep within the darkness of the figure's hood flared. A column of what appeared to be crimson-black flames appeared as a circle around the two before rising up to consume the both of them. The subsequent concussion blast from the appearance of the manifest aura of the figure blew away the other remaining mutants and even destroying a few who could not handle the raw power eminating from the cloaked figure. The column of unholy flames persisted for a few more moments until they flared out and blew away in one final concussive blast to reveal the still kneeling cloaked figure and what appeared to be an unharmed mutant leader. The other scant few remaining mutant minions picked themselves up from their scattered positions before seeing their leader apparently unharmed before charging at the figure. However, as they raced towards the figure...their leader seemed to topple backwards. This gave the remaining four pause as they watched, helplessly, as their de-facto leader fall. Upon striking the ground...the massive mutant shattered. Yes, shattered. Like marble or stone hitting an unforgiving ground that would not yield an inch. The leader had apparently been turned to stone or so it seemed. However, it was not that he'd actually been petrified but overwhelmed by the cloaked figure's power. As the crimson-black pieces of the leader mutant broke apart and dissolved into crimson-black smoke, the cloaked figure turned to face the remaining mutant beasts before that single crimson orb deep within his hood flared as a blast of wind from out of nowhere eminated from his body and blew them away.
The mutants crashed through weakened body structure of old buildings and such before coming to a halt. As they dragged themselves up, barely, they took one look at the sinister figure that had so ruthlessly and easily massacred them before bolting in the opposite direction towards some unknown destination...leaving the cloaked figure alone once more. The Glaive in his left hand vanished in a flash of crimson-black energy, leaving the figure apparently weaponless as he resumed walking through the desolet and ruined city once more. He had changed, it would seem, since his last encounter within this city...changed and had acquired much more power than he had last time. He wondered if he would ever have the chance to run into those two interesting if somewhat bizzare characters once more. He did not relish the thought, but he would enjoy it far more this time. Making his way towards the other side of the city and towards the wilderness that lay beyond, the sinister looking cloaked figure walked with no apparent purpose in mind or rather destination...waiting for something or someone to come and ask him to lend his power or force him to choose his path. Fight for the revival of an era long since passed or help in sowing the discord and chaos that pervaded the land now. The hood of the figure shook back and forth as he wondered what he would do when the time came to make that decision. For now, he just made his way towards the opposite side of the city and the wilderness that lay beyond. -Minor Time Skip-
As the sinister looking cloaked figure finally made his way towards the end of the city, he sensed something that he had not thought to look for. It was something that had distracted him and it was what nearly caused him to die the last time he was in this city. A small residual piece of a very powerful explosive was left behind in some rubble as he approached the pile of stone and knelt down to pick it up. This was the work of that damnable shadow scrapper who thought to invoke havoc and cause chaos in his fight. No one ever did that to him and got away with it. If they did, it only delayed their inevitable demise. From within the depths of his hood, that single crimson orb flashed as he took in the faint but still remaining residual energy of the shadow scrapper that was left behind upon this piece of explosive. It seemed that he was heading in the direction of the country of Ostia. And from his sensory net he'd cast out in that direction he caught the energy and aura of the two he'd fought before and a few others that he had yet had the chance to meet. It would seem that his time was going to finally get more interesting. How things turned out once he met the scrapper and the others was yet to be determined, but he would look forward to it as he made his way out of the ruined city and into the open wilderness beyond.
An aura of crimson-black began to form around the cloaked figure before the sky above him darkened until it was pitch black...like the herald of an immense and deadly storm. This, however, was merely the signal that he was summoning one of his Dragons of Divine Power to use as transportation. True, he could have used his own powers and proceeded to use a long distance teleportation. Yet, if he had done that, it would have left him befret of most of his power and therefor at a distadvantage should he run into the two he wanted to met again and if he managed to run into the other powers he felt as well. So, he decided to summon a Dragon instead.
"Ruler of Darkness, Lord of Destruction. Head my summons and appear before me. I command thee, God of Chaos, to aide me and obey my command! Come forth, Octum!"
As soon as those words left his mouth, a purple-black beam of incomprable power descended from the sky and struck the ground a few dozen meters before the cloaked figure. As the beam dug into the ground, a roar of in-human nature resounded across the sky as a massive creature of un-holy nature descended and landed in front of the figure with an earth-shaking thud before furling out its wings and turning its serpentine head to look down at the figure. There was a majestic aura about the Dragon as it eyed its summoner. Its voice was un-godly in the sense that the power behind it spoke of such immensity...it was a wonder that the figure before the Dragon had the audacity to summon it.
"What is it that you summon me for? I hope it is worthwhile this time. I don't intend to save your life like last time. If you can't control your rage like last time, I will let you die. Now, speak."
As soon as the Dragon finished, a circle of power began to form around the figure before a crimson-black column of flames...not actual flames, but a firey manifestation of his power...rose into the air and radiated power equal to the Dragon's. The only difference was that the figure's was not limitless like the Dragons was, but it was darn near limitless. One could tell that the Dragon was impressed by the way it backed up and used one wing to shield itself from the pulsations of power. As the column of flames blew out in a massive concusive blast, the Dragon was actually forced back before it removed its wing and stared down at the one who summoned him. Nodding its head in what appeared to be approval, the Dragon understood without the figure saying anything what it was required to do. Lowering its body so that the figure could climb on, the Dragon then beat its wings and took off into the sky...heading towards Ostia.

Phoster Able walked slowly on the streets Minowara. There were many people and tourists on the streets, yes, but hey, can someone not enjoy a slow afternoon strolling around the streets?
She sipped her drink slowly, too, while peering at the shops beside her. Same old, same old.
Someone bumped her shoulder. Hard. She turned her head from the bookstore to glare at the man who almost toppled her, and she put a protective spell around her.
She hoped people would get hurt from her spell. Phoster hates it when people hurt her without even saying sorry.
She looked back the store, peering inside the massive bookstore. Only a few people were looking around the multiple columns of books, so she decided to walk in.
Phoster removed her spell, thinking that people who went in bookstores were decent people. After all, people who read books are usually quiet, right?
A bell jingled when Phoster opened the door, and she went straight to the Fiction section.
But then, another section caught her interest. Another hobby that she likes to do. Magic.

I walk the world of Yggdrasil like my mother and my father, my grandmother and grandfather like all of my dependents alike in search of the true source of power. Not to control the weak nor the strong but to know. To know the reason of life and the reason to existence and to understand where the power of life and all who inhabits it comes from. I am Cordelia the last of the true pure blood philosophers in search for the truth, knowledge, and the power to change lives.
As I walk the streets of Trodain observing every movement of the mage-knights. They move like they control everyone, everything... I wrote in my book They eat as if they're kings... They act like they know everything about everything... I continued to write in the dark shadows. One had spotted me I stand ready to fight hoping they don't wish to harm me. Though no one has ever escaped with their life. Good sir have I done something to offend you? she said curtsying. I knew what he would do Come on then attack me with your flames of Hell I thought almost aloud. With the snap of his fingers he tried lighting me aflame just as I had predicted. And with a flick of my wrist I quenched his flame my eyes watched him gocking at what had just happened Don't try and kill someone who has done nothing to you I said knowing it would only infuriate him more. Just as I suspected I thought as he made the earth beneath me splinter Soon your rule of Trodain will end... And you will burn forever in Hell to never hold another person with your cold and dirty hands and with your false magic! I shouted as I grabbed my pack and jumped away from the splintering ground as it caved in. I landed softly while his friends started to come to his aid I can take one not five I thought as I fled into the darkness of Trodian.
Those who rule the world with false power are doomed to a long eternity in Hell.
