Their first meeting was bliss, meeting in the beauty of nature. They enjoyed each others company more then anything and other feelings started to emerge within them. Nature was a good friend to Ariadne, but Noel filled the void in her heart. She hadn't said it to him yet, but she believed she loved him and it seemed nature was jealous, if that was possible.
It had started to rain near the end of their day together and Noel had become sick all of a sudden and it worried Ari. As the rain got harder they came to a small cave and were finally able to try and asses what was wrong with Noel. "Noel, are you ok?? Does anything hurt? Did you feel ill earlier? Oh.....", she was frantic and a bit panicky, she didn't know what to do. She sat beside him and put her head on his and nuzzled his cheek and kissed his nose, trying to stay as positive as she could, but you could see the worry in her eyes as she held back tears.((Hope that worked as an intro and to fill some of the gap for now sweatdrop ))

Noel lay just inside the small cave, trying and failing to hold in a cough, Ariadne worried to death beside him. "I'm sure it's just a little cold, Ariadne," he replied. "I'll be fine, I just have to wait it out." He tried to sound as reassuring as possible, but wasn't sure how well it was working. He tried to lift his head to give her a little nuzzle back, the dizziness rushed to him the second he put his head up.
Lying it back down, Noel just offered her a hopeful smile. "Don't worry so much, not for my sake," he said almost pleadingly. "I hate seeing you like this; worried to death, frantic, and scared. Everything will be fine, I promise..." Noel trailed off, unintentionally ending with another cough.

Noel's words did not calm her..with the held in coughs it made her worry more. "This is no ordinary cold, this is something else...the flu? But to come on so quickly...no this is something new and vicious.", she held him close her head leaning on his. She tried to hold back her tears, but one got through and rolled down her cheek falling to Noel's. She got up slowly as to not hurt Noel and she looked at through a false smile. "I need to get to dry and warm...Im going to go further in the cave and see if I can find something to start a fire with." She started to move to the back of the cave, but glancing back at Noel not holding her tears back any longer. "~Oh gods, let him be ok. I finally found love, don't let it be yanked away so violently~", she said in a whisper as she moved further into the cave.
After about 10min. she came back with some varying twigs and limbs on her back and some rocks she held in her mouth. She hoped she'd be able to start a fire, she had never done so before. After another 10 min. she was able to get one started and sat there....looking at Noel with a tear stained face....

Noel breathed deeply. The air was a little cold for him, and he was grateful when Ariadne offered to look for something to start a fire. "Thank you," he said whole-heartedly. "I feel terrible making you worry and care for me..." He did hate seeing her cry. He cared for this vixen like he wouldn't believe. His normal, spirited self disappeared completely at the sight of her first tear. "Don't cry Ariadne," he said before she left. "I'll be fine, as long as you're not sad anymore."

She had successfully stopped her tears, for now and she sat there looking at Noel, wracking her brain for what could help. He seemed to have a fever, she knew she had to find a way to lower it, but she couldn't think clearly. She gently kissed Noel's forehead, "You have a fever, I need to find a way to bring it down.....berries..-a thought hit her- There is a rare berry that is used in alot of medicine. It used to grow close by, if I could find some it would help you get better..." She looked at him at the verge of tears again. You could hear the desperation and worry in her voice. She wanted to help him, but she didn't want to leave his side either.

Noel offered Ariadne another comforting smile. "Well then we should find this berry," he replied, trying to slowly get to his feet. "Where is it, exactly? And what does it look like?" Noel finally stood, unintentionally leaning a little on Ariadne. He couldn't help it.

As Ari felt Noel lean on her as he tried to get up and stand she frowned a bit, worried. "No Noel, you need to rest....please? Lay down and rest. I can find it, Ill be fine by myself." She tried to persuade him to stay knowing he was struggling to even stand.

At Ariadne's words, Noel sighed, unsure what to do. "You're probably right," he said, "I do need rest. But I think it will be faster if I just go with you." Noel expected her to protest, and continued before she could interrupt. "It may take a little longer to get to this berry that we're searching for, but you won't need to journey all the way back just to give it to me. And what if you get lost and can't find your way back?" Noel paused for a moment, allowing his words to sink in. "I should go with you," Noel said, insisting more than suggesting. With that, he slowly made his way back onto his feet, this time determined to do it on his own. He was sure that having to rely on something just to stand up would not boost Ariadne's confidence.
