Oora settled herself into a sit, holding Sikona gently, watching the baby squirm and gurgle, laughing softly. The sun was warm and springtime flowers were showing their faces towards the sun as the mother and baby sat in the soft grass outside of their home, waiting for everyone else. "Isn't this nice, Sikona?" Oora nuzzled her nose against the baby's gently. Sikona giggled softly at her mother, looking up at the clouds. It was so pretty. She smiled up at the clouds, reaching up to the sky. Could she reach them? She tried to. They looked so pretty and fluffy, she wanted to so badly.

Insiko could still hardly believe that he was a father of two beautiful little girls. While Oora held Sikona, little Quitterie was nestled in a sling against his chest. The sling was wrapped around him and tied behind him so there was very little risk of his daughter falling out. Towards the tail end of Oora's pregnancy, he had sent a message to Tanis, extending an invitation to come and see his grandbabies. It had been recently that they had received a message back saying that he was on his way. At present, he was due to arrive any day now.
The proud papa was retrieving some a bucket of fresh water from the well he had put in near the house. It made it convenient for winter use, when the nearby stream might be frozen over, and it had been useful during the pregnancy as well. Siko had been sure to make the well walls high enough so that when the girls started walking around that it'd be too tall for them to climb into. Of course, a little magic barrier across the opening didn't hurt either. He drew the bucket full of water up and unhooked the bucket from the rope. Setting it down with a little thunk against the rim, a few droplets flew out and landed on himself and Quitterie.Quitterie blinked in surprise at the cool droplets of water, but giggled and grabbed her front paws, wiggling in her sling. That was fun! She looked up to her father and over to the bucket. Was that were it came from? Could it happen again?Insiko laughed as he watched his predominantly blue daughter glance from him to the bucket of water. "Oh, you like that, huh?" He dipped a couple of fingers into the water and lifted his hand to shake the water droplets off. The kitten squealed in delight and covered her face. She uncovered her face and grabbed hold of her father's finger when he tried to tickle her belly with it. She let go after a moment to look around from over the fabric that held her close to her father.Laughing again, Insiko picked up the bucket by the handle and turned toward the house and smiled at Oora holding little Sikona. How in the world did he end up so lucky? He had a mate that loved him and now two beautiful little girls to take care of, to prepare for the world. He shook his head and smiled. "Wow," He murmured to himself as he walked. Siko paused, leaning over to place a kiss on Oora's forehead. "Hey, love. Want this anywhere in particular?" He shifted his gaze down to Sikona and smiled, brushing a hand lightly over her red hair. "Just keep reaching. You never know what you might get." He lifted his attention toward the path that lead to their house as he stood up again. "Any sign of Dad yet?" ((Hopefully this post doesn't stretch the hell out of the page. XD; And I'll have Tanis arrive in a post or two. 3nodding ))

Oora grinned up at Siko. She was so lucky to have her mate there to care for her. What would she have done going through pregnancy and birth alone? "By the fireplace would be great." Her ever-cheerful mood had only seemed to increase since their darling daughters were born. After all, what more could she ask for? Except for Helios and Oran to show up... but she didn't let that bother her. She was happy with her family, and it would be great to see Tanis again. Haru would need to meet his nieces, too.
"I haven't heard anything from him yet." Oora's voice was a purr, she couldn't be happier than when she was surrounded by her family. She giggled a little when Quitterie seemed to like the water. "I know he will show up soon."
Sikona giggled and looked up at her father, raising her hands up to him to see if she would get a different result from him than she did the sky. Could he lift her up to those clouds? He was very big.. Her sister was on him, and she was so much closer. Could she get to them?
Oora scooped the brown baby into her arms, holding her up high for a moment, bringing out a lot of giggles, before pulling the baby close to her chest. "You've been doing so much lately, Siko.. Thank you." she smiled at him and nuzzled him gently.

Insiko nodded upon learning where Oora wanted the water to go. "Alright. It shall be done," He stated with a smile, pausing to tickle under Sikona's chin.
The proud papa straightened himself up and looked towards the path that lead to the house, giving a little sigh. "Ah yeah. I know he'll get her as soon as he can, but I so want him to meet the girls." He chuckled as Oora scooped up the brown baby, holding her into the air for a moment before snuggling her close. Heavens above, he loved the sound of their laughs.
Siko shifted his attention to his mate and smiled, brighter even than he had been. "My pleasure, love. I'd do anything and everything for you and the girls. Y'all are my world." He bent down to give her a quick kiss, making sure to have his free hand on Quitterie to make sure that she wouldn't shift anywhere, not that being wrapped to his chest would leave a lot of room for sliding.
He straightened himself once again. "I'll be back in a few. I'm sure Quitterie wants to have a little wiggle room of her own." With that, Siko turned and headed indoors to put the water down next to the fireplace before setting himself to extract the wiggly kitten from the baby sling that wrapped around him.Quitterie seemed to be content on playing with her own feet for the time being. Everything was so interesting! She wanted to see and touch everything that she could get her little hands on. She hoped that there would be further playing with water. It was so much fun! Quitterie cooed as getting lifted out of the sling to be held in her father's arms. She grabbed hold of his nose which prompted him to tickle her belly. She laughed and wiggled away from his fingers to hide her face against his shoulder. He could not believe it! Where had the time gone? Here he was now, a grandpa! It hardly seemed real, like a dream, but he felt as if he was practically floating on air when he had received word from Insiko. Wow! The foxtaur wondered what they looked like and their genders. Insiko had sent him the letter in the middle of Oora's pregnancy so the genders of the youngsters were unknown.
Tanis had packed light, only enough provisions for the way there, some essentials, and, of course, a couple of gifts for the new babies. He was getting closer. The paths were all familiar now and the basic landmarks remained unchanged. He had half a mind to just run the rest of the way, but he simply breathed deeply and walked. There wouldn't be much enjoyment to be had if he was all huffy and out of breath.
He rounded a curve in the path and saw the familiar shape of Insiko and Oora's house through the trees and undergrowth. By the looks of things there were a few more additions besides the new members of the family. As he drew closer, a big bright smile blazed across his face. Oora was sitting out front with what a kitten that looked a lot like Insiko.
"Hello, hello! Oora, m'dear, you look positively radiant. Who do you have there? And where is that boy of mine?" He gave a bit of a laugh, arms wide as he moved closer to give a hug to his daughter-in-law. "I want to know names and how many there are. You've been well, I trust?"

Sikona purred at her father's touch, wiggling to get out of Oora's arms a little, wishing to be in his. When her mother lifted her up to the sky, however, she laughed and tried to reach up for the clouds again. Nuzzling into her mother's neck, she wondered when she would be set down.
Oora returned his quick kiss, nodding when he said he would be back in a moment. To occupy herself, she set to cuddling her baby. The little girl looked so much like Siko, but Oora's red had been stubborn enough to show through in her. Her daughters were so beautiful, so perfect..
The mother gasped upon seeing her father-in-law, her indigo eyes widening in a genuine surprise. "As handsome as ever, I see, Tanis. Hello! Welcome," She laughed softly, cradling the baby in her arms and leaning into his hug for lack of being able to hug him back. "This is Sikona," excitement and pride welled up in her. "Two perfect little girls, Sikona and Quitterie. Siko just went inside with the other little one." It dawned upon her that the new grandfather may want to hold his grandchild, so she offered Sikona to him. "He said he would be back in just a moment."
The kitten stared up at the new man with wide, bright eyes. Giving him a great smile, she held out her arms to him. Her mama was offering her to him, and he smelled and looked really nice. Sikona hoped he would take her.

"Keep talking like that and I might not leave!" The foxtaur laughed and rubbed Oora's shoulders as he angled his head to smile at his granddaughter. "Hey, Sikona." He looked to his daughter-in-law and beamed. "Two granddaughters. Wow. She's positively darling, Oora. She's a perfect blend of the both of you. Just look at that red hair." Tanis chuckled before looking between the kitten and her mother as she was offered to him to hold. He took her into his arms and bounced her gently. After blowing a raspberry against her belly, he looked to Oora again. Sikona was just so small and soft. It hardly seemed real that Siko had been once that small and now he had two little ones of his own. "I brought presents for them. I hope you don't mind. I couldn't resist."
He shifted his gaze back to his granddaughter. "What do you think, cutie? Would you mind a present from Grandpa Tanis?" He smiled and quirked a brow, waggling them in a silly manner.
Inside, Insiko's ears perked at the sound of a familiar voice. His father had arrived! He grinned brightly down to the blue kitten looking up at him. "Quitterie, guess what? Your grandpa Tanis is here. Let's go see him, hm?" He lifted her up so that she may look around and see better. The father padded out, beaming like the summer sun. "Dad! How've you been? So, good to see you again." He chuckled. "I see you've met Sikona. This is her sister, Quitterie."
Quitterie looked to her parents then to the new person. He looked nice enough and he was holding her sister. She blinked then laughed, throwing her arms out, making grabby hands to the white foxtaur. Mommy and Daddy seemed to be comfortable with him and Sikona looked like she was fine. She wanted to see him up close too!
Siko laughed and adjusted the wiggling youngster. "Think you can handle them both, Dad? She wants to meet you too." He turned Quitterie to hold her with her back to his chest so that she could have free use of her arms and legs, while he supported her bottom.
Tanis looked to the doorway when Insiko emerged with a predominantly blue coated kitten held to one side of his chest. "Well, I'll be." He laughed. "I've been great. It's certainly nice to see the family again. Babies are always a reason to come together again." He shifted his gaze to Quitterie and smiled. "Sure, there's always plenty of room." He looked to Sikona and shifted her to be supported with one of his arms whilst leaning against his shoulder and chest, freeing up his other arm from her sister. "Isn't there?" He nuzzled her forehead and took Quitterie in the same manner as Sikona. He looked between the girls then to his son and daughter-in-law. "Uh-oh. I think you two have got yourselves some heart breakers. Better what out for them boys down the road. They're nothing but trouble. Isn't that right, Siko?" He teased, knowing full well that Insiko was a pretty good kid growing up and wasn't the trouble making kind as a teen. In fact, it was Tanis himself who was the handful as a youth.

"That wouldn't be so bad, would it?" The fiery redhead was swelling with pride at her family. "Oh, just wait until you see Quitterie. They're both perfect and beautiful." Oora smiled at the sight of little Sikona in Tanis's arms. Laughing at his statement, she responded with a thought. "Even if we did mind, you still would bring them. Of course I don't mind. We haven't had much time to find things for them yet." The new parents had been trying to baby-proof their home, and keep supplies close a lot lately.
Sikona didn't know what this big man was talking about, and she really didn't care. Reaching up towards his moving eyebrows, she grinned big and gave him a laugh. That's what he wanted, wasn't it? That thing he did to their bellies felt really funny, and daddy and mommy did it a lot too. When his forehead touched hers, she closed her eyes and mewed softly.
Grinning when her sister was added to the big man's arms, the brown kitten reached out to pat his chest. Her tail moved back and forth in a happy manner, inspecting how fluffy this male was.
Oora took one if Siko's now free hands into hers, locking fingers gently with him. "Siko will chase away all of those boys, won't he?" she purred with a small chuckle, her tail brushing against his lightly. They had all known each other since Oora and Siko were just babies. A small amount of anxiety gnawed at the back of her mind. Haru had gotten word, hadn't he?.. Would he be here soon?
