In The Begining
~Entry one: That's Just Me~

Ropin, being the curious and up-beat cowgirl she was, had just shut the door to her new room for the first time, placing the key into her pocket knowing full well she'd lose it anywhere else. She didn't bother to kick her boots off or anything of the sort, she was use to them to the point they didn't hurt her feet, but the fact she was tired and knew better then to get her dirty old boots on the bed was enough to make her reconsider her conclusion. Mumbling a bit to herself she sat herself down on the bed, testing it and glancing around at her seemingly normal room. When nothing of particular interest caught her eye she decided it was safe enough to try and fall asleep. I say try because Roping was never one to be a heavy sleeper, even if it seemed like all she did was lay down with her hat over her eyes like she was. As open and outgoing as she was she just didn't like to be bothered half the time, even if she was still friendly towards the person who had disturbed her. Sighing and shaking her head at herself the young gal finally decided to kick her boots off and place them under her bed, there wasn't much to her life except for the ranch she worked and owned. Now the whole reason for Ropin's being here was the fact she needed to get away and take a vaction, and prayed the jug-headed cowboy ranch hands could take care of themselves and the ranch without making a mess of it. Now that was a lot to ask but the cowgirl was hopeful as she laid back down on the bed and placed the hat over her face to ward off any light that would be getting to her eyes in any way possible. She was rightfully worried about her ranch though, considering last time she had went on one of her crazy adventrues they had nearly burned down barn A1, let the cattle graze over a third of the ranch when they only needed a quarter of a pasture, didn't wean the foals from their mothers when they should have, and just plain wrecked the entire ranch house! Trying to forget these things Ropin muttered to herself again as unusually sleep came at her like a brick wall, she was extrememly tired for some reason and underneathe her hat her deep blue eyes shut, unsure as to whether or not she'd be plagued with weird dreams like she sometimes had or just fall into the black abyss that was her paradise.

Stirring slightly in her sleep Ropin moved over to her side in hopes of staying like this for as long as possible, but as she moved the hat fell away from her face and her brow tensed. She didn't want to move at all and with this new event she knew she'd have to open her eyes to find that hat and the was something she really didn't want to do at the moment. Grumbling at having to disturb herself, for she didn't like the idea of not knowing where her hat was, she opened her dark blue eyes and found that her hat had rolled off the side of the bed. Shaking her head at the pest of headgear she leaned over and across the bed to try and locate her hat... when she came face to face with something completely different and she was sure wasn't there before. "HOLY FLYING COW-TAILS!" she gasped out as she tried to scramble away, but only managed to slip and fall off the bed in a tangle of sheets. Gulping and glancing up she spotted the item again, a rather large box with holes in the side of it. "What the heck?!" she looked up and over to her door, but it was still closed and guessed it was still locked as well. Slowly getting to her feet the cowgirl kept her eyes on the very strange box that was in her room, just how it got there she didn't know, but the managers of this place were definatly going to get an ear full... she didn't order the box special! Well, okay there was no box special, but she certainly didn't ask for this! "How'd you get here?" she questioned the box as if it would answer her, but when only silence was her answer she sat back down on the bed and tried to think rationally, maybe she was still asleep?

Journal Entry: The Dream

~Entry two: Endless Abyss~

After a great deal of thought and incrediable judgement Ropin didn't know she had, the blue haired cowgirl had decided to keep the box insident to herself. Maybe she was just crazy and the box wasn't even there? Well she certainly didn't want anyone to think she was crazy, cuz then that would just prove how big of a fool everyone thought she was; she couldn't help it if she was natually friendly. Looking down to her box she patted it's side as if it were some kind of pet and once again kicked her boots off ready to get into bed. She decided to sleep on it and maybe she would find out she was really just dreaming it all. Yup, that must be it, boxes didn't just appear out of nowhere you know? Nodding her head to her own judgement she slipped into her pj's for she didn't want to wake up for awhile now, this was a vaction for heaven's sake! Fluffing her own pillows and getting under the covers she let her head drop down to her pillow, and oddly enough she was almost instantly asleep, which was something new for her considering it took her hours to get into such a deep train of thought. Her mind was leaving the waking world now, and slowly getting pushed farther down the black abyss that engulfed her thoughts.

Slowly the abyss was shifting into blurred colors around Ropin and her conciousness, she was becoming aware of her surroundings and the meanings of different objects as they seemed to come from the very blackness that had blurred into many different colors. It was an odd experiance, unlike what Ropin had ever experianced before, and she was curious as to what kind of dream would form the colors. But it wasn't long till this thought left her and she was completely out of it, she didn't even know she was asleep anymore, nor did she have control of her dreams like she usally did. The blue haired cowgirl finally saw that within the tndrals of darkness came a landscape that unlike known she had ever know. It was beautiful and yet dangerous, she could feel it, she could feel the twists and turns that her mind was making for her and she knew better then to stray to far from the path of blurred colors already laid out before her like an arrow of some sort. Now you've all heard curiosity killed the cat, but obviously Ropin had not, for she kept walking down the little arrow with nothing but brown on either side of her, her pj's now sticking to her for some reason as if she was sweating. Was she nervous? The fearless Ropin that braved angry bulls, enthralled stallions, and cranky cowboys? ... Yup. As she walked she could have sworn there was something following her, and everytime she glanced over her shoulder to check nothing was there. It was very odd she thought to herself, but nothing more then that, knowing her it was probably just the purple people eater from her dreams before. Dreams? I meant nightmares, after all Ropin was wearing purple pajamas, and a purple people eater didn't distinguish between skin color and clothing color. Anyway, getting that nonsense out of her mind she continued down the long arrow that lined the path on oddly brown colored ground, but it wasn't till she noticed the massive craters that lined the brown ground three in a row that she got off the path. Again she was curious and walked over, but felt guilty when she left the past followed by feeling of anxiousness, why? That was unclear even to Ropin, and she was the dreamer of this oddly painted scene. When she got closer though she noticed they weren't craters at all, but reather massive holes that stretched to nearly twenty feet across! Gulping Ropin backed away from the edge of the hole when she noticed just how black it was inside, she couldn't even see for heaven's sake! It was then she once more felt guilty and anxious, something was following her and something knew who and where she was. Shivering at the thought she looked around the odd brown colored land to find nothing again, and while she backed away from the hole something that was enough to scare the pants off the girl happened. Straight from the bowels of the shadows that engulfed that huge hole that seemed to swallow anything that would have been sucked up into it... shot a rather large shadow. Ropin could not make out any details of this shadow, she couldn't even tell what size it was because of the way it pulled the blurred colors of her dreams towards it, engulfing the coloring and soon enough leaving nothing but a deep blackness to what had been her dream. Roping was terrified of the shadow, she didn't know what it was or what it wanted, but she felt a presence in her mind that had her stiff backed. 'I won't harm you, now go back to sleep', it had told her in the depths of her mind, but wasn't she already asleep? Confused she knew she wanted answers, and swallowed back her fear to get them. "What do you mean go to sleep? This is my dream... and who are you?" she questioned, though cautious as the shadow advanced on her, seeming to bristle. Okay not a good thing, seemed this thing had a temper that she didn't want to know the ends of. 'I am something you shall soon see, but sleep, you'll need it for what awaits you', a deep chuckle followed with that and the shadow seemed to fade down into nothingness, but cynical laughter echoed even when it was gone. Ropin did not have pleasant dreams after that while the laughter was still in her head.

Gulping and bolting forward in a cold sweat Ropin awoke from one of the nightmares that had followed the strange dream of the shadow and the brown colored world. Shivering now as her pajamas stuck to her she quickly looked over the side of her bed, remembering the whole purpose of falling asleep. But there it was, unmoving and seemingly untouched, the box sat there in silence. But taking a better look at it Ropin noticed the arrow and the holes... naw, a coincedence and nothing more. Or at least that's what the blue haired cowgirl told herself.

~Entry three: Moon Struck~

Ropin had finally allowed herself to fall back asleep after that strange dream she had the other night, the only thing that had kept her awake during the past couple of days was plenty of coke, dr. pepper, and choclate... not to say that her sanity was far from gone. The night though proved to be an eventless sleep which she was more then happy for, well except for an encounter with a purple people eater, but that couldn't be helped. She swore that thing liked to follow her around in her dreams and ruin them and any kind of sleep she could get. Shivering for some reason the cowgirl flipped over in her bed to her other side to try and warm it, when she found that quickly enough the other was just as cold. What was going on here? Trying to pull the covers up and over her more she couldn't quite find the blasted thing and roused in her sleep until slowly and almost unwillingly her eyes opened and adjusted to the darkness. Mumbling to herself about needing to get out of her room, for she had practically been living in here since she got it, she slowly sat up in bed and glanced around her. Where was that blanket?! Honestly she couldn't find it on the bed so once more she leaned over the side of her bed and tried to spot it, unfortunatly she kept her room dark whether it was night or day and she couldn't see anything. In a sour mood now she reached over to try and flip the light, when something wet swiped across her hand. Jumping and quickly pulling her hand away she scrambled to an upright posision on the bed when suddenly she heard a yelp and something heavy tackling her on the ground. "NO! I didn't mean it!" she meeped when suddenly she felt that same wet thing swiping across her face and several fairly large paws holding her down. Having no idea what to think about it she felt around until she reached the lamp and turned it on, and was more then surprised to see... a wolf pup?! The thing had been licking her face and pretty strong for its size, if standing maybe up to her thighs or waist, and it's long scraggy tail wagging out behind it. Blinking she just stared up at it and the wolf stared back, though didn't object when Ropin went to shove it off. "... Where did you come from?" Oh great, now her room was infested with animals... or maybe she was still dreaming? Shaking her head she noticed the box out of the corner of her eye, and saw the flaps were open and it was leaning on it's side. "So... you're Mr. Box are you? Alright wolfie, I'm going to call you Dante, cuz you look like one!" she was still a bit crazy due to all the sugar she had been eating.

The werewolf tilted his head slightly when he was shoved off but didn't fight it, this was a fun game! Perking his ears up when he heard her speak he took in the basic of what she said, but hung on what she called him, for she had pointed at him as well and repeated the word. Dante? Hmm, well it seemed cool enough! Dante got to his paws on all fours, he liked it like that, for he would only raise up on his hind legs if he needed to... it was to much of a hastle anyways. Raising his wolf like head the were let loose a series of playful howls and looked to Ropin as if waiting for her join in, man did he love singing!

~Entry four: Tough Love~

Now well aware that the little pup she had on her hands wasn't just a figment of her imagination Ropin sat on the edge of her bed in deep thought. All she knew was that Dante was some kind of wolf pup, and he had come out of that box she had found in the middle of her room one odd night. Fully sobered up from her sugar high she was free to come up with rational explanations, which was a rarity to Ropin and her life style. Where had he come from? She switched back to her orginal thoughts and glanced down to the little grey pup sleeping at her feet, his pink tongue hanging out the side of his mouth and only once did one of his ears twitch when Ropin shifted her weight slightly on the bed. Sighing a bit the blue haired cowgirl shifted again and laid down on her stomach with her arms dangling over the side of her bed. She was already getting attached to the pup, but not only as a pet like some kind of dog, but she felt a deep bond with him begining to well up inside of her. He was so... unique, and full of personality. And who had pierced his ears? Letting a small grin come to her lips Ropin ran her hand along the pup's coarse fur. "You awake little buddy?"

Dante swilveled his ears a bit at the sound of someone's voice, and his hide twitched from someone's touch. The werepup slowly cracked open deep blue eyes that seemed to hold the secrets of a thousand moons and then some. It took only a second but he recognised the figure and the scent almost right on the dot, and within moments his head craned around and his pink tongue licked at the hand before nuzzling into it. Yes he was awake, now anyways.

She couldn't get over the fact that his eyes held more knowledge then they should have, it honestly felt like he had a personality of his own. "Yeah thought so", Ropin grinned down at him when he snuggled into her hand. He reminded her of the first pet she ever got. A golden retriever by the name of Honey, the gal giving her thirteen years of love and happiness before she passed. Ropin sighed at the memory of her lost friend, and though her hand had gone limp she still felt the pup's pink tongue licking at her. When she still did not return the gesture by petting Dante, she felt a slight n** at one of her fingers. Jumping she stared down at the little guy and saw he was looking right up at her with raised lips. "What? I'm sorry okay, geez", she rolled her eyes and continued to pet the little werewolf pup. Only when she felt his fur bristle did she stop and stare at him... did this sweet guy honestly have a temper?!

Stop petting him, humf! Staring at her for the longest time he began to understand a feeling of longing within her, or loss, something that was a bad, pent feeling. He would have allowed her to stop petting him, but when she started again and seemed to act as if nothing were wrong he bristled his fur at her. He wasn't about to let this feeling go unnoticed, it wouldn't do her one spot of good he had decided. Raising his lips once more the werewolf pup gathered himself onto his paws and tensed his muscles till he was ready to release his strength. Sending his body soaring he clung and scurried up the edges before he had made it up to the top where Ropin was lying. Laying his ears back he just stared at her once more, eye to eye now as he flicked his tail once more. In no mood to let this slip, but still wanting to help, he laid down next to her and burried his head under her arm, he wasn't going anywhere.

Ropin was almost surprised when the pup laid down next to her, first he was angry and now he wanted attention?! "Spaz", she muttered to him and rubbed behind his ears. His fur wasn't bristled anymore, but he kept looking up at her like he was trying to find something. Shaking her head she didn't understand it at all, and rested her chin on her other arm, just going through her memories and eventually paying full attention to Dante. Which for some reason, he seemed to agree with.

~Entry five: My Way, Or The Highway~

It's been a few days since Ropin has gone out of her room, but she couldn't help it, the blue haired cowgirl just wasn't as social as she use to be or never was for that matter. Well there was that and the fact she really wasn't use to the cold and the snow so going outside was definatly out of the question for now, unless she somehow got her hands on a very thick, and very warm winter jacket, she wasn't about to move from her spot on the bed. But just as she was about to lay her head down on the pillows and crawl under the covers non other then the furry little hyper ball of muscle and tongue came scrambling up the side of the bed and nuzzling his head into her arm in the hopes of getting someone to play with. Ropin jumped slightly and glanced down at Dante, the werepup was really starting to push his luck. "We just got done playing!" Ropin complained while giving the pup a slight push away from her and turning her back to the little guy. She couldn't help it though, she was tired, she was cold, she was hungry, and sleep was calling her! As she did that though it was unclear to her just how determined this pup was for some loven and care.

Dante huffed and he puffed and he tumbled away from her in a heep all the way on the other side of the bed, which was no more then a few feet away from her but it was still enough to make him tilt his head with confusion as his eyes drilled into her back. Push him away will she? Refuse to play with him huh? Well Dante had ways for dealing with a gal like this and guess what... Ropin was a gal like this! Alrighty then Miss Not-gonna-play, you just started a war! Crouching down low the werepup wiggled his shoulders and flicked his tail in an almost hunter like way, for the pup was so determined to play he would drag her into it if he had to wrestle her to the ground first! His lips raised slightly to bare his fangs in a playful manner and his little paws shifting slightly he did what any great hunter would do, the little were pup launched himself into the air and a landed on Ropin's side, very lightly placing his muzzle over her arm as if he would bite her, but he never did. Oh no, he wasn't into suicide missions but he did growl a bit at her and instead of sinking his teeth into her flesh he ran his tongue across her cheek as if to say, 'oh honey, I'm sorry but if I were serious you would be hurt or dead right now... PLAY WITH ME!' and his deep blue eyes reflected with this look.

Ropin was startled to suddenly have something pounce up on top of her when she thought all was safe and well... when apparently someone held a grudge against her. Surprised out of her wits to feel the slightest pressure of teeth against her arm her head jolted up and she stared into the eyes Dante, right before he gave her long and very messy lick on the cheek. "Hey now! What'd I do?" she gasped at the fact he still had her pinned to the bed and that such a little puppy actually had the strength to do so. It made her proud and scared to be this pup's guardian and only when she rose partly to a sitting posistion did the pup jump down to stare at her once more. Sighing Ropin figured out what all this was about and shook her head at the pup and his ways of telling her what he wanted. "Alright we'll play", she finally gave in and patted the pup on the head to tell him so.

Dante raised his tail in triumph and once more growled playfully at this strange two-legged creature, they weren't as fun as that long necked creature had been, but it was better then nothing and at least they could pet him if need be. At the words, or rather actions, of surrender he yipped happily and pounced at her once more, he wanted to wrestle and play and just all around have a good time! Ropin wasn't the best at wrestling though, for he found she cheated by flipping him over and holding him down or rolling him away gently, wow, maybe he misjudged her and her odd two-legger strength? Shaking his head at this thought he figured he was just tired, no reason why he shouldn't be winning this game of strength and stragety. OPening his maw he yawned widely and crawled over to Ropin, not paying attention the fact she herself still wanted to play, and the were pup currled up on one the pillows before falling into a deep sleep.

"Oh, so now look whose tired", Ropin grinned and jested, but didn't rouse the pup again, she herself was tired and wasn't going to prod the playing on anymore. Resting back into the covers and into the bed Ropin closed her oddly colored blue eyes and let herself fall into a light sleep. It was a few minutes before she felt something poking into her back and when she could stand it no longer the blue haired cowgirl glanced over her shoulder to find Dante had nestled in against her and was curled up underneath the covers as well. Ain't that great, Ropin thought to herself before falling asleep once more, having no real need to wake up or do anything and she was out like a light.

Journal Entry
~Entry six: Whims Of A Werewolf~

It wasn't often that Dante was awake and restless while Ropin was actually able to sleep without being disturbed by the pup wanting to play, but then again the full moon might have something to do with that. For some reason the little werewolf pup wanted to go off and do something on his own, why? He wasn't quite sure of that himself but Dante was more then carefully so as not to wake the sleeping Ropin. Sure she was great fun to be around and stuff but the girl just seemed to need her sleep, and she was pretty grumpy at first anyways. Making his mind about the matter the werepup slowly eased himself onto his paws and crouched down once more when he saw her stir as if at the edge of sleep and waking it would seem. For the longest time he did not move a muscle, but instead just stood there with his deep blue eyes staring unblinkedly at the still figure of the crazy two legger. At last he thought it was alright to move once more and the werepup once again got to his paws, slowly making his way to the edge of the bed and with the tensing of his muscles he leapt to the floor with little a clatter. Tucking his tail between his legs and crouching down he looked up at Ropin with ears pulled back in alarm. Thankfully though she only stirred and still did not wake up. Grinning with glee the werepup rose once more and curled his tail up above his back and pranced his way to the door... which, to his dismay, was closed. Oh this was just great, how was Dante suppose to get out of here when the door was closed! ... Ropin always opened the door. Almost whinnying he had to shut his maw and began to pace, he could wake Ropin up to open it, but she might not let him out in the first place, which was a problem to the little pup. For he wanted to explore and see what there was out beyond this room. Perking up his ears once more he huffed and threw his head back, almost rising off his front legs in frustration. Wait... why didn't he think of this before? Of course! Wagging his tail now the werepup once again threw his head back, but this time he allowed himself to rise up on his hind legs. He was able to do this quite well being a werewolf, but it was too much to work to go walking on your back legs like a two-legger all the time, they must have great endurdance and tolerance he told himself. Staggering a bit for he hadn't done this very often Dante stepped forward and looked up at the golden knob that was now withing his reach, he had seen Ropin use that to open the door, so he guessed that is how one got out. Pawing at the knob he couldn't quite get it to do what he wanted it to, all it did was rattle and make noise and he cringed, craning his neck around to look over his shoulder at Ropin. Thankfully she was still asleep, maybe keeping her up all night to play was a good idea? Returning his attention back to the knob looking thing he pawed at it once more only to get frustrated again, so frustrated his opened his jaw and bit down on the knob. Growling almost he turned his head trying to rip it off, only to find that by turning it nothing happened. That was it, he was ripping this thing off! With his head turned he pulled back hard, lossing his balence... but as he fell over the door flung open. Wiggling on his back to try and get to his belly and once again paws his eyes widened with delight, he was free! Jumping and giving a little buck the werepup did a victory lap around the room... but he found he was a little tired. Yawning he took a loathing look at the door which had drawn at his strength, he didn't need to explore now, he could always do that later. Trudging back over to the opened door he took so long to open he pushed it closed with his nose and walked back to the bed. No need for Ropin to know what he had been planning on doing, right? Of course. Crouching down he wiggled his shoulders and leapt back up to the bed, where he curled up next to Ropin once more and eagerly fell back to sleep. Exploring will have to come later while the pup wasn't so worn out.
