So, the factory I just quit http://oneidamoldedplastics.com almost didn't get a city loan to expand its decorating operations because they got caught up in a microstamping controversy. OMP stands against microstamping, and local liberal politicians (liberals? In MY upstae NY? It's more likely than you think!) tried denying the factory a loan because of this. Which is weird, because OMP doesn't produce any parts that could even be used to microstamp, but hey, whatever, right? So what do you think about microstamping? My personal opinion is that it is terrible, since it throws off the accuracy of the weapon, and only makes things cost more for law abiding citizens.

I just looked it up on wikipedia to make sure this meant what I thought it meant. I found this.
This technology will be required in California starting in 2010, however, law enforcement is specifically exempt. stare

I don't need my firearms having lower accuracy and cost more while some criminal can still save a buck and shoot straight.

war_junky 91 Fresnel Reaching way back to the last possible page of my Photobucket, and I find this: A winrar is you Edit: Also, can you say revolver? mrgreen I can! Anyway, Microstamping is kind of funny because it's easily circumvented, extremely costly for everyone, and is proven to only lead to huge headaches for police organizations without actually showing any evidence that it's helped solve crimes. And yet idiot Liberals still think it's a good idea. Wonder if they're physically capable of pulling their heads out of their asses, or if their innate cowardly nature and feel-good sensibilities have rendered their major muscle groups useless. lol

i'm pretty liberal, but this just seems like a waste of money... like, this doesn;t "keep guns off the streets" or "protect children" or any other fancy thing... it just makes a serial number ... kinda... if you don't "fix" it... weak sauce rules are weak...

You know, knowing what I do, if I wanted to put serial numbers on ammunition, you know where I'd put it? The a** end of the bullet. You can't fix it without tearing the cartridge apart, it'll survive even an impact with solid steel, and although it's easily bypassed by hand-loading ammunition, nobody's going to run out to the shed and hand-load rounds just to shoot their ex-wife. The hardest part of the ordeal would honestly be tracking it, but if the government thinks they can track any other serial number, it's as good as any.
Not that I endorse this idea at all, but it's the smartest of all the retarded ideas, IMO.

I watch Cam and Company on nranews.com whenever i can and when they brought this up cam had a rather good point, stuff like microstamping seems to be "sound byte solutions" where instead of actually doing stuff to help the public each year they just roll out a new form of "gun super control" to make the un-informed masses think they are actually doing something.
