Caelan was wandering - it had been a while since he had done so - down a surprisingly empty forest. There was no sign of fox, deer, or bird alike. Hardy any butterflies flew by. Up ahead, Caelan could see a large cliff face went high above the trees. It would offer a nice bit of shade for the time being, so this was where Caelan headed.
It didn't take long to reach the shade of the cliff. A few large rocks resting at the foot of the cliffs would work as a resting spot. Settling himself on the rock and examining his surroundings, this was the first time Caelan noticed an opening in the side of the cliff. The curious fox debated entering the cave or not. He didn't know what to expect from it, or even if it would go very far.
Finally, Caelan decided to enter. The path he was on wound away from the forest and deep into the side of the cliff. He hadn't known it was so thick. Determined by now to see this through to the end, Caelan continued through until he could finally see light at the end of the tunnel. He finally reached the hole leading out of the cave, and pulled himself out through the hole.
The fox found himself on a beautiful strip of beach. The sand was almost white, the water a clear blue, the weather was perfect. Still, however, there wasn't a fox in sight. Where was everyone? [I described all of that just for him to wind up on a beach XP]

Pandora had been wondering around, curious of the happenings of the forest since she had spent so much time in her cavern as of late. As she walked the forest something seemed odd. She could not hear anything but the wind through the trees....~That's odd, where have the woodland creatures gone?~. She was bothered by this, worried that something had happened or was about to happen. She knew not to panic so she continued on hoping to run into someone soon.
She continued walking for maybe a mile or two when she finally caught a small trace of something...it was another fox. She was happy of this and followed the smell, which led to a large cliff. Following the sent it wasn't long before she found a hole that seemed to travel through to the other side. She followed the past until she heard a faint sound that made her ears twitch. ~Waves, I hear water crashing on the shore....A Beach?!~.
The sounds grew as she got closer to the exit. It wasn't long till she could feel the soothing heat of the sun and sand under her paws. She followed the smell further in, when she realized the sent was familiar... She continued closer to the water and she guessed she was but 15ft. away from the other fox. Then it hit her, this was no stranger, it was Caelan. In realization of this she bound forward in a run and yelled out to him, "Caelan....Caelan!" As she got closer she tried to slow down, but she wasn't used to the traction of the sand and she felt herself soon collide with her friend, pushing them both into the water slightly.
"Oh sorry Caelan, i don't have the same traction on sand apparently. Some place you found yourself, a beach. It is a nice day for it.", she said with a smile and slight blush on her face as she got off of him. But then her face turned solemn as she realized she didn't hear any other animals around...just the lowly sound of the waves and wind. She 'looked' around trying to see if she could hear others in the far distance, but she couldn't. She was really worried now and her face showed it.

Caelan noticed the scent of the familiar vixen before it reached him. Pandora was taking the same path he had travelled just moments before, and he turned facing the cliffs to await her arrival. As she drew nearer, Caelan's mind wandered to the last time he had seen Pandora, incidently also their first meeting. The cave they had met in that held an underground river held grest memories for Caelan, and he hoped she felt the same.
Finally Pandora was visible, emerging from the side of the cliff. She seemed to recognize him, and began running his way and calling his name. He smiled, even started chuckling a bit, until she ran straight into him, sinding them both toward the water. Caelan was really laughing now, getting back on his feet and making sure Pandora was fine as well.
"Pandora, it's nice to see you again," Caelan said, still chuckling. "And don't worry about it, the water felt nice, anyways. It is a great day for a trip to the beach." Still standing ankle-deep in the ocean, Caelan looked back down into the clear blue water. "Not a fish in sight, either..." he accidently murmured; it was supposed to just be a thought.

Pandora heard his murmur and turned with a still solemn face. "This is wrong.......there are no animals around, not a bird, fish, or even the smallest ant....something is Wrong., she said with a deep concern in her voice. It eased her mind knowing Caelan was alright and with her. "Im very glad to see you Caelan, Im glad your here with me*blushes* But what is going on? Did you encounter anyone, anything at all today?, he had a relief in her eyes that she was with Caelan. She moved a little closer and nuzzled up against him and then just leaning on him, wracking her brain on to why everyone was gone from the area.

Caelan rested his chin atop her head as she leaned against him. "I agree," he said, "I'm glad to see you as well, Pandora, but I'm a little worried as to why you are the only one I have seen." Caelan gave a heavy sigh, glancing around the beach to examine it, trying to see past the picturesque beauty and find something a little less than normal.
The cliff face he and Pandora had entered through extended to surround the entire beach, jutting out into the water on both sides of them. "This place is surrounded by rocks," he told her. "We should head towards them."

Pandora nuzzled against him to show she cared and nodded in agreement to moving near the rocks. As they walked closer to the far end of the beach at the protruding rock face sh tried to think of what could cause this, but she couldn't think of anything. "This just doesn't make sense, I can think of nothing that would cause every creature to leave woods and even the sea. I admit there is a strange air about, but it doesn't feel threatening....just still....it makes it harder....for...me to....see...", she swayed and leaned against Caelan as it was getting harder for her to sense her surroundings the closer they got to the rock face. It was like the rocks were vibrating in her head blurring everything and making her dizzy. She finally fell and passed out.....

Caelan was silent, thinking and feeling the exact same things Pandora said out loud. When he noticed her voice faltering, Caelan slowed down and examined her as they moved closer to the rocks. "Pandora, are you okay?" He asked just before she passed out. "Pandora!" He called as she fell to the sand.
Caelan was panicking. Slowly but surely he manouvered Pandora until he was supporting all of her weight on his back. He then moved her back toward the cave he had entered from, then heade for the ocean. Reaching the waves, Caelan gently rolled Pandora off his back just by the shore. As a wave came in, he splashed a little bit of water in her face, hoping to awaken her.
"Pandora..." Caelan murmered, nuzzling her face with his nose. "Please wake up..." The water came back up again, just barely reaching her ankles. "Pandora..."

~Her thoughts were clouded, she could see nothing but a fog....she saw faint figures various shapes...the forest creatures? She tried to call out to them, but she found she had no voice. Another voice traveled through the fog "come back.....you have to.....~"the voice became inaudible as a new small figure formed....it looked like a kit's shape...there was a second beside it.....another voice faintly traveled...."~m.....you...have...to...sa..ve...them....and come back.....~"
The voice left and the fog grew thicker covering the shadowy figures until she saw nothing but a fog again......~"Pandora...."~, a new voice called..it was Caelan...calling to her....she gasped frantic..."The beach...the rocks.....Caelan!!", as she said Caelan's name a second time she awoke staring at him. Water..the ocean...she was near the shore..he must of carried her here...."Caelan!..*she 'hugged/nuzzled' him and kissed him with relief*...there is something very weird about those rocks....something is in there...", she said looking towards the rock face they were heading towards before...."We have to go back...if have to find a way in there....", she had a determined face, and she would not back down.

Caelan let out a giant sigh the moment he was certain that Pandora was conscious again. Almost a second later, she was serious again, and staring at the rocks. He followed her gaze with a more worried expression. "You can't go back there, what if you faint again?" He protested. "We don't know what we'd be up against, Pandora."
He considered the rocks and cliff again, before glancing back at Pandora's determined look. He knew she probably wouldn't give in to his concerns, and mentally considered other options. "How do you know something is in there, anyways?" He asked.

She looked at Caelan a stern determination, unwavering. "I saw, something...the animals in a fog trapped and there were 2 kits, telling me I have to go back, we have to save them." She took a few steps forward and looked at the rocks. "I don't know what we'll find, or what caused my black out, but we have to get to the bottom of this. And I wont let myself pass out again, It happened once, but if it tries to again, Ill be able to fight it off....~i hope~", she said to Caelan and then to herself. She knew they had to make some sort of plan, but she didn't know what. "We need to decide what to do, and how to do it.", she kissed Caelan's cheek and sat thinking of what move to make next.

"Fine," Caelan said, prepared to give in. "I'll go closer and see if I can find another entrance. And then I'll come back and take you there." He had already thought this through. "But if you pass out one more time, then we're leaving," he said sternly. With that, Caelan left her side, heading back toward the cliff. Almost immediatly he spotted a large cave entrance. He wondered why he hadn't seen it before. It couldn't have just appeared, could it? He turned back to get Pandora. "I've found a place we can enter from," he informed her.

Pandora smiled lightly happy that he wasn't going to try to stop her further, but bad as well as she seemed to upset him making him worry. "I promise, i won't black-out again, I can control it better, and can strengthen my mental block since it's happened."
She watched as he walked off looking for a way in, she felt a shift in the ground, a small vibration not many foxes would notice, unless trained. She then heard Caelan say he found a passage...It couldn't be, could it? It was impossible for that to have happened, right?
She ran to meet Cael half way, still wondering. "Did that passage just appear from no where? I felt the ground shift and then I heard you. It couldn't be right? It's very curious.", she said as she then passed Caelan a bit staring at the direction of the 'passage'. She took a few steps forward and then looked to Caelan, "Im ready when you are."

"I didn't exactly see it appear," Caelan replied. "But I don't remember seeing it there before, either." Naturally the strange appearance of the cave worried him as well, but with Pandora adamant to continue Caelan resigned himself to constant vigilance. "And I guess I'm ready as I'll ever be," he said, grimly.
With that, Caelan led the way into the cave. Once he and Pandora were fully inside, the entrance glowed and slowly closed itself. Caelan turned just in time to catch a glimpse of the ocean one last time. Before him was now solid rock, which had stopped glowing. He had assumed that this would plunge them into total darkness, but natural light seemed to emanate from... somewhere. There was no direct source anywhere, but the light covered the entire visible area of the cave. Caelan glanced at Pandora, saying, "I suppose we not have no choice but to continue," he said. "Are you still feeling alright?"
