Since when are cows holy? I mean it. Everywhere you turn you here someone say holy-cow. So tell me how is it holy?

Ppl who dont want to use "HOLY s**t!" every time they get surprised use "Holy cow!" They are not seriously yelling at a cow deity of some sort. (That would be funny) I Do think some religions worship cows. idea

Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism... India sees the killing of cow as prohibited and a taboo.
