Avatar: The Legend of Korra (Avatar Series 4)yeah, a new series of Avatar, set 70 years after the events in the 3 series of "The Legend of Aang" and "The Last Airbender" this new series follows the next Avatar after Aang, called Korra, a female from the Southern Water Tribe, who unlike Aang, already has 3 of the elements in her control at the start of the series (Fire Water and Earth) and seeks to master Air. Reason i have put this here is because apparently the series is set in "Republic City", apparently Steampunk-esque metropolis. so, Avatar, in steampunk, WITHOUT Aang (i loved The Last Airbender and The Legend of Aang, but Aang himself was just plain annoying...)

Aw, I liked Aang. Honestly, I was hoping that if they did more Avatar I'd find out what the devil happened to Zuko's mother.
I'm excited though and I'm especially excited by any even vaguely steampunk addition to the series.
Also, this Korra chick sounds like my kind of main character.

I nearly began to hyperventilate while reading that. ********. Awesome. I'm a big fan of the original series, and knowing now that they do plan to continue it is like an epic nerd-frenzy in my mind.
I wonder if/how the spiritual influence/aspect of the world is going to suffer with the more technologically advanced civilization. Or even how the bending arts themselves will have changed/adapted.

I'm also interested to see how or if metal bending shows itself in this series. Since Toph invented it 70 years ago it stands to reason that she may have had at least 1 pupil to learn it and that this new avatar herself may be able to bend metal.
Which could make the fight scenes that much more awesome.
Nerdgasm.

Nerdgasm. based on current info she only knows Water Fire and Earth, and is learning Air. whether that only means the 4 basic elements and she actually knows metal or blood bending we will have to wait and see... personally i want her to be able to use the blue fire Zuko's sister had... that was awesome...

....... *faints, then wakes up cheering* Justice, after that terrible movie, sweet sweet justice. I hope it goes into detail on how the air nomad civilization was revived.
And hey, it may not be Aang, but it's Aang's son.

So they are making a new season. ^^ But I must say, I did not expect the whole '70 years after the original series' tho. I do like how they are giving the series more of a Steampunk theme. I wonder if there are going to be many children of the original characters in the series. The little definition says that Korra will meet Aang's son, but I would like to see more. I will definitely miss the original characters. Especially Toph and Zukko, my two favorites.

Well the new Fire Lord will definitely be Zuko's son or daughter, though it could well be possible Zuko still rules, though I will miss Iroh. As for the Steampunk theme, it was kinda already there with the Fire Nation tech. Steam ships, tanks, that massive drill.....

Yeah, it's just speculation but I'd just love to see blood or metal bending reappear. They were both so awesome. Extra-hot flames? I love those. It was such a cool little detail to add to her character. I always think of Azula the last time we see her . . . breathing blue fire. Holy $#*%.

Del Amor Aw, I liked Aang. Honestly, I was hoping that if they did more Avatar I'd find out what the devil happened to Zuko's mother. [[Agreed, when i saw the final 'episode' i was so annoyed that they did not explain further as to where his mother was and if he managed to reunite with her. From what his dad said it sounded like she was alive.
I hope further characters have more ties to the original protagonists and the original bending like metal, blood, and the lightning move get shown in this series with more flair. Im not much of a heroin person since when it comes to heroins they are mostly all predictable, but i do want to see this since the last show was awesome. I wish i had cable to watch it...]]

You have seriously just made my day with that. The end of the series left a few unanswered questions and I hope this series will at least lightly touch on what happened 70 years ago, like Aang's son telling Korra some of the stories his father told him as a young kid...

The Dark Illuminati . Im not much of a heroin person since when it comes to heroins they are mostly all predictable, but i do want to see this since the last show was awesome. ]]I agree, I get pretty annoyed by a lot of heroines but I'm really optimistic about this. The original cast featured a lot of pretty well-developed and likable characters. I particularly liked the hot-headed characters(everybody but Aang, Katara and Uncle Iroh counts here I guess--though I love Uncle), which this new heroine is slated to be like. So, if she has any of the awesomeness, snark, or accessibility(which for me includes crazy) of characters like Zuko, Toph, or even Azula. I'm in.
