I don't see any announcement about it closing down. There is an announcement about some load issues and fixing it though. if it closes down, I will have nowhere else to go. I don't like the interface of the other sites.
EDIT: Aw! I found it. they actually officially closed July 10. How sad.

It is sad to see a manga site go down. But the only real reason i went on it was for Japaneses only mangas translated to English. The officially translated ones i have to buy cause i for one do not like Piracy. It's like saying "I like mangas but i do not want to pay 10$ (my area for normal ones) cause i think it's stupid. Thank you internet for giving me access to my mangas that are already on the bookshelves in America for free, cause i am an a**!".
Latest Manga example i was waiting for a year to be released was Chi's Sweet Home. I bought it, and read the whole thing.
Exceptions are like Highschool of the dead and some more romantic Mangas (Itoshi no Kana or English name, My Lovely Ghost KANA)
