Basic Information
The weapon is essentially an extremely modded XM25, with a much higher magazine cap and being loaded from seemingly the middle, rather than the back. It uses a double column detachable box magazine that extends farther up the rifle, increasing it's magazine count to roughly 20 rounds per magazine- although this makes each magazine is rather large. Still, the weapon seems to fit the magazine rather "Snuggly" into itself, this at the cost of barrel length (which is less crucial given the low velocity of the round).
In addition to the XM-25 firing system, the weapon exploits the High Low firing system, which drastically reduces the felt recoil of the weapon. This allows for the round to be fired in a semi-automatic fashion without excessive recoil build-up or muzzle climb.
The weapon also sports a scope and laser range finder similar to that of the XM25. These two pieces, however, are disconnected and integrated into the weapon. The Laser range finder is on the bottom of the gun, directly beneath the barrel, increasing the laser range finders accuracy somewhat, and allowing the user to "Overshoot" their target rather than undershoot. The scope is positioned on top, however the weapon has a 4-8x 65mm scope and an integrated thermal 1x65mm thermal addition integrated on the front, that can be turned on and off (rather than having separate thermal and daytime scopes). This also allows the user to "Find" their laser, which basically is viewable in infrared. Like the original XM25, the laser range finder allows the user to program the rounds to explode at a certain distance or "Air Burst", although several types of rounds exist.
Becuase the scope and laser range finder are integrated into the weapon, the battery is located in the stock and removable just the same as in the ordinary weapon.
