Orpheus was sitting under one of the trees in his classroom taking down some notes about the students he had so far seen so far. Those that he had met and the others that he was going to meet soon. His work left Ligeia rather bored, he had spent a while watching him work as if making his unblinking gaze would get his father's work to get finished that much faster.

It hadn't worked.

So now he was wandering around the classroom, hoping up onto some rocks and off the other side trying to get some air but it seemed the skill of flight was still far above him, even gliding took a bit of work. His wings were good for getting lift though so he could jump better, higher, and to keep his balance when he thought that he was about to fall.

The problem was though he was bored, bored, bored. His father told him that they would go and find someone for him to play with later, to meet later. For now he would just work on his flappings and jumpings.

"An' this is the classroom." Jewel's voice came floating through the door, sounding slightly proud. The small fish girl poked her head inside, surprised that there were people about, then beamed as she caught sight of Ligeia. "Li! I didn't know anybody would be here." She looked a bit shy. "I brought my family to see where I go to school."

(*snicker* Maybe not the whole family, but quite a few friends for Ligeia to play with. xd )

Ligeia's wings fluttered as he landed on his feet, looking up as people appeared. He did his normal reaction of giving a 'Scree' sound and he ducked back behind a tree. Then hearing a familiar voice he peeked back out, "Jew-Eeeeel?" He murmured seeing the fish girl he had met a couple of times and he smiled some stepping out and walked over towards her. He knew her, he liked her so he didn't see a reason to run from her.

He looked at the others, the family that she had brought with her to look around then pointed one gloved hand towards where his father was sitting writing in a notebook, "Dad-Eeee. Work." He told them all.

Orpheus lifted his head from his notes then pushed up to his feet when he realized there were people they, "Ahh. Hello there." He greeted, pushing his glasses up on his nose.

Arith hurried forward, pulling Mia behind him by the hand."'Urry ub, I 'ear voizez!"He suddenly stopped infront of the room, causing Mia to dodge around him to avoid tripping."See der peoble 'ere."He grinned at the people and moved inside, ooo-ing when he saw the fish girl."Its a fizzy!"

Jewel grinned and nodded, pointing back at a cluster of children gathered behind her and peering about with wide, interested eyes. "Hi, Mr. Orpheus. These are my brothers and sisters. They wanted to know where I go to school."

They were certainly an eclectic mix, to say the least. The one closest to Jewel appeared to be an anthromorphic bat toddler, dressed in orange and black with brown fur. Her arms were bat wings, and she wore a small pair of orange-tinted glasses perched on her small nose. Clinging to Jewel's arm, she peeked at Ligeia from behind her sister. "He pitty."

Near her, a slightly older trio of human-seeming children stood close together. The two younger - four or five, by human age - seemed to be blood siblings, with dark hair and curiously golden eyes. The other, roughly six or seven, had brown hair that flopped in to frighteningly intense green eyes. A fourth child, with long purple hair done up in a ponytail and matching violet eyes, had her arms folded, a look almost like a military recruit.

Beside them, a little girl with dusty blue hair and her own green eyes giggled shyly. Another girl - this one with dark, curly hair and wide, pale gray eyes to go with her dark furred wolf ears and tail - seemed to be trying to hide behind her, though being taller it wasn't working quite well. A third girl, dressed in a yellow and orange kimono that clashed slightly with her brunette hair and silver-furred fox ears, wagged her matching tail happily. "Hello!"

Jewel pointed to each in order, beginning with the small bat. "This is Anitia. That's Alexander, Valentine, Arthur, Motoko, Karaya, Lin an' Rin. Gabriel would be here, but he went to take Julian to his agency."

(*laughs* Points if you can keep all of them straight. Rin and Motoko'll probably scare poor Ligeia - I figured Caz would be WAAAAY overload, he's a mean little toddler.)

Ligeia looked at the huge group of them then looked over at the other boy that appeared as well and he lifted a gloved hand to wave at them, "Ahh..." He shifted on his feet and took a bit of a step back not liking crowds but he didn't want to seem rude as he liked Jewel. Jewel was nice and pretty and he didn't want her to think he didn't like her because he was afraid of her family, "Ah... ah..."

Orpheus laid a hand on his son's shoulder then smiled, "Hello everyone. As you can see from the place my classroom is a little dirty. I just need a good broom." He said jokingly as he tapped his foot against the dirt floor.

Ligeia gave his father a look as if to say, 'Bad joke.' But was glad to have him there as he lifted his hands to take hold of Orpheus's hands with his.

Orpheus looked to Arith as he came in, "You look like another of the students here. Am I right?" He asked of the husky boy.

Arith was lookin over all the people, his tail wagging behind him.He hadn't seen so many people in one place before, and they were all quite interesting. His ears twitched as someone spoke to him, nodding at the question."Uh huh.I Arif."

Mia ducked into the room, smiling at Orpheus."Hello, I didn't really expect to see anyone."She glanced around at everyone as she leaned against the wall."I hope we didn't interrupt something."

Indigo had wanted to go swimming again, and the one safe place Jenner could think of for swimming--since Indi wasn't exactly an aquatic creature--was Orpheus's classroom.

The faceless demon, with her child on her shoulders, stepped into the classroom--and immediately found herself knee-deep in kids. "Whoa!" She pulled up short, winning a giggle of glee from Indigo. "Where's the party at?"

"Partyyyy~y!" Indigo trilled from her mother's shoulders, waving her upper arms in glee.

Jewel giggled at Arith. "Yep, I'm a fishie." The purple-haired Motoko, however, stood up straight. "Jewel Lyona Traverse is a fish, not a fizzy." Arthur poked her in the side. "Stop that - you know what Mom said."

"Fizzy." Anitia giggled softly, then crept over to Ligeia, examining his feathers and gloved hands with wide eyes. "Li pitty. Pee-po scawwie?"

Orpheus nodded, "It is good to meet you then Arith." He said to the husky boy, "And I look forward to seeing you in class." He told him, was good to get to meet more of the students. Made it so he could get a better idea of those that were going to be coming and going and what all he would need to prepare classwise.

He lifted his head at a new voice and he couldn't help but laugh, "I'm starting to think that the party was set up here without my knowing it. Maybe it was Ligeia's idea?" He looked at Indigo and smiled, "Welcome back." He remembered her, one of the ones most eager to go swimming and she wasn't even of an aquatic race. He was quite impressed with her willingness to learn.

The owl puffed up and gave his father an indignant look then turned his head to look at the little one and nodded in agreement, "Lil'scar-Eee." He agreed.

Anitia nodded, apparently convinced of the scariness of people herself. Holding up one long-fingered hand, she reached shyly toward Ligeia's wings, though didn't touch them. "Nita toch?"

Jewel giggled, and the silver-furred fox-child Rin nearly danced in place. "Party?! Are we going to have a party?"

Maji peaked her head into the doorway. "A party? Well, we'll have to stop by, won't we Laial?" she asked as she walked in, carring Nexen and Laial looking like a live backpack.

Laial looked around. He didn't know anyone from D-Corp, students or teachers. Were all of these people in D-Corp?

Nexen lay still, looking at all the funny people.

Arith blinked at the man."Dissa class?Bu' it got dirt, looka like outside."He turned when he heard a new voice, looking the three newcomers over quickly. His gaze stopped on Nexen and he pointed at her."Foz!"

Mia smiled and nodded."Yup, a fox.Party?Heheh, well that sounds nice."She scooted over some so others could get in, wondering a bit where all these people were coming from.

Arith's ears twitched when he saw Laial.Interesting.He moved around to stand beneath the strange boy, peering curiously up at him."OoOo."

Maji smiled and let Laial down. "Go on, Laial. Talk to him." She smiled encouragly at Laial.

Laial gaped at Arith as soon as he was let down. "Awe yu a kow?" he asked. He knew what cows were; Maji said her cousin was obsessed with them. She said that cows were black and white, and really stupid.

Nexen stared at Arith curiously, too.

"'Lo Mr. Orpheus!" Indigo carolled, waving eagerly at her teacher even as Jenner chuckled and hoisted the toddler off her shoulders.

"I wouldn't know, sai; sorta seemed like a party t'me when I walked into it. Couldn't hurt nothin' if we threw one anyway," the demon remarked, ruffling her daughter's hair. "Provided y' don't mind, it bein' your classroom and all."

For her part, Indigo was fairly vibrating, antennae sticking straight up as she took in all the new sights and sounds and smells. Laial caught her eye first, and she rounded on the nautilus-boy with huge eyes. "--Mommy, mommy! Is a snail!" she blurted, pointing at him excitedly.

"Eh?" Jenner glanced over in the indicated direction, before smirking a little. "That's not a snail, sweetie." She paused, then waved to Maji. "'Lo. You one of the foster parents for these little anklebiters?"
