The day had been boring to say the least. Resting atop a leafy tree it's soft foliage being the panda males favorite aspect. Flicking a paw out Baja yawned lazily grasping a few leaves to stuff into his now open mouth nibbling and chewing them with the same bored at ease expression. He had no family, no friends and that was just fine with him. Who needed such trivial things? Even if he did like babies..Baja knew his chances of picking someoen to stay with were slim. "Mm..." It could be his abrasive slightly bi-polar tendencies. Like now..he looked like a simple lazy male lounging in a tree but, should he be confronted he was a rather cruel angry spit fire. Wiggling his fluffy furred body about Baja managed to sit up and peer out at the landscape..the forest below never really catching his eye. With a wiggling little stub of a tail the male slowly climbed down his tree and sat at the bottom eyes again peering about curious. Maybe he would see someoen today? That would be a change of pace.

Oh! A butterfly! With a grin on his face he pounced after the butterfly. It was so cute! It wasn't even like he wanted to hurt the little guy. All Haju wanted to do was have a friend to play with that wouldn't scare him! Think about it! A butterfly never makes a noise and if it lands on you it's just like a gentle touch that couldn't scare anything. With a giggle he chased at it, pawing as he jumped at him. The Skunk stopped and stared at the last place he'd seen the yellow creature. A whine passed his lips as he couldn't find it any longer. "Hey, Mister Butterfly! Come back!" Haju called into the forest and then sat, pouting. How mean! He hadn't laid a paw on it! With a huff he laid down and pouted.

As Baja sat there by his tree a bright yellow butterfly floated by landing on top of his nose. He nearly went cross eyed trying to look at it then growled and wiggled his nose. The silly thing refused to budge however. "Move you..butterfly.." It still sat..as if resting on his nose..just trying to make him angry. Grumbling Baja heard a voice calling for a mister butterfly. Was this the butterfly? Again he tried to look but, failed. Standing up the panda male lazily strode towards the voice butterfly still on his nose. He stopped though when he was at a safe distance..no way did he want to get sprayed. He had seen the other was a skunk and instantly froze looking a bit comical with the butterfly resting still ever so peacefully on his nose. Lightly he blew on it again hoping to make it get off.

As his bottom lip jutted his eyes wandered. They focused on a piece of grass, a speck of dust, a ray of sun. It was all so boring compared to his nice little friend! His ears twitched as he listened to other creatures scampering around. The skunk stood and gave a huff. Slowly he trotted off, glancing around. His eyes landing on a black Carousel and he let out a scream. On instinct he turned around and sprayed his little heart out. He was gonna get eaten! Haju whimpered and bounded off into the bushes, body shaking as he watched the other through the branches. That thing out there wanted to eat him! As he hid he tried to relax. Finally his racing heart relaxed. Realization hit. He had just sprayed somebody who wasn't even looking ready to attack him! But now Haju was just so scared as to how the Carousel would react! Not a muscle moved as his body flooded with guilt.
