Simba

It had been a boring day for Simba as he lay under a big shade tree. There was just nothing to do. It had been a fairly pleasant day, a cool breeze blew and there were enough wispy clouds to shield the sun for the most part. There was just nothing to do. No one was around today.
He decided to go exploring again to see if there were any new places he could find. He walked and hardly saw another fox. He walked on and finally started to see new scenery. He was at the edge of a small wooded area. Being the adventurous sort he explored the woods, where he found a crystal clean lake. Being hot from his walk he decided to take a quick dip to cool off. He swam around a bit and ended up floating on his back looking up at the sky through the trees. ~This is nice, I don't often get to swim in the lake near home....this is very relaxing~, he thought to himself as he let his eyes close as he drifted around.
After about an hour of swimming he felt un-easy for some reason, like something or someone was close. He jumped out of the water and shook the water off and listened around him. He couldn't hear anything, but he still felt something. He decided to climb up a near by tree to see if he could see anything. He got as far up as he could and peered around. "That's...odd...I could of sworn someone was near by...hmm", he said this aloud still looking around....

Seika twirled and bounced and twirled some more, making little bounding motions across the clouds and wondering why she didn't make footsteps in them. Shrugging her shoulders, she rose again. "And now...a barrel roll!" She said cheerfully, doing said trick in mid-air. talking to herself wasn't new, she didn't really like the silence, and when she was alone, the only one who could make noise was herself, and if she was talking to herself, she wasn't alone. Made perfect sense.
She dove through the cloud, executing a perfect barrel roll and cheering herself on when she got a good look at the ground beneath her. It was a slightly wooded area with a pretty lake, and a big tree that had a branch which looked just like a modifox.... Well, it sorta did. Not like any fox she'd seen before, though. "Oh, oh, maybe it's an actual fox! We gotta say hi!" She told herself. Angling her wings, she dive bombed towards the tree and the weird branch that looked like a modifox.
Seeing that it was, in fact, a living creature, not a branch, she pulled up at the last second and landed heavily on a nearby branch which creaked under her weight and heavy landing. "Ah hah! You are not a branch! I'm Seika. Hello!" She said, smiling brightly at the other fox in the tree.

Simba was baffled by the presence he felt but couldn't see....he looked to the sky and saw some of clouds moving oddly. "It's like something is moving within them, but no bird could be that high.", he said to himself, He looked back to the tree tops when he heard an odd whooshing of air. It was getting louder...and louder.
He finally looked up the sky and saw a red flying fox heading straight for him. He let out a bit of a yelp when it landed fast and hard on a near by branch. He clang to his branch so as not to fall off. When the tree settle from the sudden impact he looked at the red fox and realized it was a vixen.~Judging by the wings she must be a modiphim.~ He had heard a bit about them, but had not met but one other so he still didn't know much.
As she spoke to him her voice was very...energetic. He jumped up to a branch that was almost level with the one she was on and it was closer. He surveyed her and decided he could trust her...for now anyways. "Hi, Im Simba, nice to meet you Seika. What brings you to the tree tops today?", he said with a warm smile and slight chuckle. He continued to look at her, she was very vibrant, but beautiful. She was already proving to be very interesting and captivating.

"It's nice to meet you as well. And my flying instruments bring me up here! See? I have wings." She asked, splaying her wings wide enough to double her size. A small breeze came along and caught her open wings, nearly overbalanceing her.
Seika regained her balance and studied the other fox; he was definitely different than any other she'd seen. He was big, not as big as a 'Deava, but about as big as her, maybe slightly taller. He looked strong and brave and trustworthy, though she hadn't known him but two seconds. And he didn't have wings. No flying instruments, just like a normal fox. But here he was at the top of the tree. It was a puzzlement.
Seika's tail twitched into a questionmark shape and she tilted her head slightly, "what brings you up here? I don't see any wings. Are they hiding?"

Simba watched her wings as she extended them. A breeze came and almost knocked her off balance, but she was still sturdy. At her words he stifled a small laugh, she was exuberant and he liked that. Seeing one so happy, made him happy. He could see she was now studying him, and she asked what he was doing up in a tree. "Haha, no I have no wings, but Im a good climber/jumper. My longer legs give me an advantage over the regular foxes. Im an Elder, a Tribal Elder, but I currently have no tribe, well they are all out doing their own travelings and adventures; which they have every right to do. Oddly enough, for one meant for the ground, I most comfortable higher up in the air-so to speak. I believe they call your kind a Modiphim, correct? I came across one not long ago in my travels back to my home. I must say I envy you.", he said smiling whole-heatedly. He was happy to have someone to talk too, it had been awhile since he had a real conversation.((The pic/sig thing for these 2 XD))

"No wings...." She said thoughtfully then cheered up as something Hibari, the Big Fluffy and her sort-of-father, had said to her. "Well, you could always eat more veggies. That's how I got mine...though I did that as a kit, so it might not help you." She was briefly saddened, but Simba didn't seem sad, in fact he seemed happy...so she smiled again. "Yep, I'm a modiphim now that I'm all growed up. You don't look very old, is a tribal elder not old?" Seika looked confused at the word envy, She wasn't sure what that was, nor why ths other fox would feel that way to her. Was it the branch she was on? Maybe that was envy...she frowned down at the branch she was on.

Simba: *Simba smiled and laughed abit* "I don't think veggies will work for me at this point no...*he laughed some more....No Im not that old...Being an elder just means Im the leader, I make important decisions for my tribe and consult with higher beings from time to time." His face was a little saddened at the mention of the higher beings, but he tried to not let it bother him. He looked to her and saw the odd expression on her face as she looked at the branch she was on. "Seika? Is something the matter...why are you looking at the branch so oddly?" He stood and took a few steps closer to see if he could see something wrong with it, but saw nothing and looked back up to Seika with an eyebrow cocked and an overall confused expression.

Seika looked up from her branch and caught his confused look. "I was wondering if this branch was an Envy. You said you Envy-ed me, and I thought it might have been the branch." She replied, shrugging in confusion.
She went over what he'd said before asking about the Envy-branch and tilted her head in slight confusion. "Higher beings? Is that why you're in the tree? To get close enough to talk to them?" She asked, looking up into the clouds and wondering if they were in there. Having never talked to higher beings herself, she didn't really know much about them. She blinked and looked back at Simba questioningly, hoping he'd explain them to her.

Simba chuckled at her confusion, thinking it cute. "No, the branch isn't Envy. When I said I envied you I meant the fact you have wings and can fly high in the sky...Im jealous of you...does that make more sense?", he said in a gentle tone. She then asked about the higher beings. He found her confusion...attractive and cute. He looked at her with gentle and understanding eyes as he answered her, "Well yes and no. Im in the tree because I sensed a presence but couldn't see it from the ground so I came up here, only I still couldn't see it. That's when you came crashing in. Which I am happy about." He laughes a bit and paused in his words to think on how to answer her question about the higher beings. "Higher beings, are our spiritual leaders, our guides through life. Tribal Elders are the only foxes cable of seeking their guidance directly. And as it turns out when my father died he too became a Deity, so I seek his guidance often and he does appear to me through the clouds... Is that kinda clarifing a bit on the subject, Im not the best at explaining things. sweatdrop ", he said with hope in his voice. He didn't want to confuse her further.

Seika squirmed a bit in embarrassment. "Oh, I see. Sorry, I didn't realize envy and jealous meant the same thing. Flying is fun, I wish I could take you flying with me, but you're too big for me to carry." She said apologetically.
After he finished explaining about the higher beings, Seika nodded. "Oh, okay. I understand now." She smiled, happy that Simba took the time to help her understand the higher beings. He was such a nice fox, putting up with her ignorance. "I'm sorry about your father, but I'm glad you still get to speak with him. I don't have parents myself. I just have the Big Pokey and the Big Fluffy." She said happily. She had unorthodox 'parents' but she loved them anyway.

Simba smiled and looked to the sky and said gently, "No worries, I get close enough to flying. I am content." He looked back to her and smiled happy to know the higher being explanation he tried to tell was sufficient and she understood what he had said.
"No need to be sorry, regardless he is always a part of me, in my heart.",he laughed a bit at some memories. His expression turned an amused confusion at the mention of her not having parents...."Im sorry, Big Pokey and Big Fluffy. Ok that you have to explain to me.",he spoke with a chuckle very interested in learning something more about her. He moved as close as he could without smothering her. You could see the anticipation and curiosity on his face as he looked at her with a smile on his face, waiting to hear her words.

Simba smiled at her, and Seika couldn't help but smile back, she found his smile cute, and she wanted to see it more often, not the saddened look when he'd first talked about the higher beings.
She knew her 'family' was confusing, but she also knew it was a funny story, so she smiled at Simba, and waited for him to move closer for the story. "Okay, so I just broke out of my BCR, and I looked everywhere, but I didn't see one fox that looked similar to me, no adults, and no kits for brothers and sisters. It was also really, really windy that day, and I hear this crack! sound and when I looked up, I see something get blown behind some trees."
Seika paused to giggle a bit at the memory of the not so graceful fall her father had made out of that tree. "Well, I went to instigate...no...in-investigate, and there was a huge fox, a male 'Phim. I don't know if you've ever met them, Simba, but they have really fluffy tails," She smiled suddenly and tapped Simba's tail with her own, "very similar to yours, actually. Well, I pounced on that, and when I asked him if he was okay, I didn't know his name, so I called him the Big Fluffy. His real name is Hibari, and he's the closest thing to a father I have." She smiled brightly, "He had kits recently, so now I have sortof-brothers and a sortof-sister."
"The Big Pokey is a 'Deava. And she's gots lots of colors like me, but we don't look alike, really. She saw me and Hibari together, and came to see what we were doing. She came up to me and poked me in the side with her tail, so that's how she got her nickname while I was a kit. She's really nice. Her name is Iris."

Simba listened very tentatively smiling the whole time and giving a chuckle here and there when she commented on the 'fluffy tail' and tapped Simba's tail, he swished it around playfully lightly brushing her body as he did, purely be accident of coarse.
As she finished her story Simba still was smiling and laughing a bit. "That sounds like a wonderful family. And no one ever said your parents and sibling were 'required' to be of the same blood. Your parents sound delightful. I would LOVE to meet your family one day., he spoke with a gentle and reassuring voice and moved a little closer and nudged her a bit playfully(and almost giving her a slight kiss...Almost)

"They are a wonderful family!" She said with exuberance. "And you're a very sweet person, Simba." She continued, pressing a swift peck to his cheek. She giggled a little when his tail tickled up her side, and she returned the favor, brushing her tail against his side in retaliation.
"I think my family would like to meet you too. Especially the kits, they'd love you." She said happily, nudging his shoulder gently.

Simba blushed at the kiss and then chuckled a bit as her tail ran along his side. "Oh, I do love kits. I can't wait to have some of my own.", he smiled at the thought of being a father. Being somewhat lost in thought he lost his balance by Seika's nudge and fell forward, landing a kiss right on her lips. As he stumbled back up, still off balance he fell back of tree branch. He lost his grip and fell a few branches below, on all four paws. Not wanting to risk falling further he jumped the rest of the way to the ground, his face as red as Seika's fur. "Wow.....that was really...something.", he gave an odd chuckle unsure himself if he meant the kiss or the fall there after.
